@IcicleHearts- I truly believe that was an error made by the Erinns by accident. Yes he died, but with all those characters it can be hard to keep track of some of them, he was even said to be in Windclan by one of the authors. Other problems also occured, like gender changes and looks if you look at them closely throughout the time period.

I found a quote from the actual wc site from erinn answering that yes, there'd be a new series, but the name is still to be decided.
