Thrushnose's ears perked at the sound of his name, turning to his caller. "Oh hello Willowpaw!" he mewed happily to the calico apprentice. Padding over to her he looked over her only to notice her leg was wrapped in something.

"Wonderful." Thrushnose said as a wind ruffled his fur,"The weather is wonderful as well." Looking at the pretty she-cat's leg he couldn't help but ask,"How's your leg?"
-----------
Digging her claws into the ground Aspenwhisker felt frustrated as she watched from the edge of camp. Thrushnose was talking to Willowpaw,Does he think she's prettier than me? She's broken! A broken little apprentice! Aspenwhisker thought, almost laughing.
-
"We're back." Aspenwhisker mewed quietly, the pain from her wound finally catching up with her. Leaning down she licked the new end of her tail, cleaning the blood from it. "I hate dogs." Aspenwhisker spoke fiercely. Going over to the fresh-kill pile she selected a thrush,"The next time I see one I'm taking some of it's tail." Aspenwhisker growled.
-
Thrushnose smiled,"I'm happy to hear. We need strong warriors like yourself." Suddenly a burning feeling made it's way to his skull. Turning he saw Aspenwhisker glaring at them before looking away to talk with Goldfeather. What's going on with her?
-----
Aspenwhisker whipped her head away as she caught Thrushnose's attention,"I guess." she mewed still unconvinced, looking at Goldfeather. "Tom's are stupid." Aspenwhisker spoke flatly. -
Aspenwhisker laughed,"Then your lucky, I'm not sure Thrushnose has even recognized that I love him."
-
Glancing around at the patrol sitting in the camp Aspenwhisker was reminded she wasn't the only one injured. Getting up she padded into the medicine cat den. Pulling out cobwebs and poppyseeds from the herb store, Aspenwhisker peered out the den,"Tawnypelt! Come here and I'll fix up your wounds."
-
Aspenwhisker was shocked and felt guilty,"I'm sorry Goldfeather,I-I didn't know.."
-
Guiding Tawnypelt with her tail, Aspenwhisker had her lay down. Assesing the wounds she came to the conclusion that they weren't deep. "Tawnypelt you're going to be okay just don't move much." she said as she cleaned Tawnypelt's wound on her flank.
"Here eat these." Aspenwhisker mewed nudging the poppyseeds towards Tawnypelt when she flinched. -
Aspenwhisker nodded solemnly,"Atleast you know." Padding out of camp, she felt like she could cry. What if he doesn't love me? What if he does love Willowpaw? Aspenwhisker's mind whirled.
.
----
Thrushnose had continued to stare at Aspenwhisker, her gray-brown fur light and fluffy. As she had gotten up and left camp, Thrushnose noticed everything wasn't normal. Leaving his conversation with Willowpaw he padded over to Goldfeather."What did you say to Aspenwhisker?" Thrushnose asked anger piercing his question.
-
Thrushnose growled when Goldfeather didn't answer him, "What did you say to Aspenwhisker? Why is she upset?"
-
Thrushnose shook his head,"That can't be it, hardly anything gets Aspenwhisker upset. What else did you talk about?"
-
((Infinite, Aspenwhisker did. ))
"We're all alive." Aspenwhisker mewed,"Thank StarClan. Though Tawnypelt has a pretty good gash." she paused to look at Darksky,"Can you help me with her? And then maybe fix up my tail?" the she-cat asked glancing at her blood-clotted tail.
-
Thurshnose growled at Silverfrost before turning away. Walking at a brisk pace he left the camp, following the path his gray-brown companion had taken. Getting deeper outside of the camp he decided it was time to call for the she-cat,"Aspenwhisker?" Thrushnose paused, Can she hear me? "Aspenwhisker!" he called in more of a yowl this time, worry and panic doing most of the work.
---------
Racing along her path, Aspenwhisker blocked out eveything. Her only thoughts were left, right, straight, bush, left. Though she could still hear and see. Cutting around a bush, Aspenwhisker paused from her constant running.
Panting she hardly caught the sound of her name, coming from downwind she couldn't tell who it was but knew the voice. She didn't want to answer back though, it would need an explanation as to why she left. -
Please StarClan, don't let anything bad happen...I love her more than my life. Don't let anything happen. Thrushnose continued running the air stinging his face, Please! Following Aspenwhisker's trail was hard, she had clearly just taken basic turns but many of them in a row.
--------
The she-cat lay down, waiting for the inevitable. Thrushnose would come and she would tell him her feelings, that would be all. Aspenwhisker stayed for a while until she caught the scent of him. A chill ran through her, from both nerves and the cool wind.
Finally the gray tom came into view, his gaze softened as their eyes met. "Hey Aspen." Thrushnose mewed sweetly, racing up to her.
((I feel like if they were people, this would be a really cute scene in a book. :') ))
-
"Just cleaned up her wound mostly." replied the gray brown she-cat,"Oh and I gave her poppy seeds." Aspenwhisker glanced over the gash on the injured she-cat. "How was it while we were gone?"
-
Aspenwhisker stood up when Thrushnose came closer, their pelts brushing. "Thrush-Thrushnose.." her voice was timid and scared, like a kit who saw a bloody battle. "I have to tell you something! Before I decide not to."
This caught Thrushnose's attention. What would she need to say? Is she going to tell me she's found a mate? Or she's expecting some tom's kits? This all worried him. Aspenwhisker was his love. "I have to say something to you too. Though mine can't be changed. Ever." he said looking at her, their green eyes piercing each others. Looking at Aspenwhisker though, he could tell she was scared to say anything at the moment. "Let's say it at the same time okay?" she nodded.
"I love you." they said in unison, expressions softened.
OOC: Again this would be an adorable scene in a book.
-
Thrushnose and Aspenwhisker walked back to camp, tails twined together. Though they were silent, they didn't need to say anything. It had all been said. Aspenwhisker broke the silence,"I'm sorry I ran away...I was jealous." she paused searching for the right words, "I thought you liked Willowpaw and not me." this caused Thrushnose to laugh.
"You thought I liked Willowpaw? You've been the only cat in my eyes Aspenwhisker." he said licking her cheek affectionately. "Never forget I love you."
------
Aspenwhisker was smiling as they entered the camp, running up to Goldfeather the second she saw the yellow she-cat. "You were right!" she whispered happily into her ear before walking off to get some fresh-kill. Aspenwhisker didn't eat much of the mouse she had selected though. She didn't feel hungry, just loved. -
Glancing up from her mouse she caught sight of something limping into camp. Letting out a loud shriek of alarm she fell back, at the acknowledgement of it being Skywing; blood staining her fur.
-
Thrushnose couldn't sleep, leaving his nest and Aspenwhisker's warmth, he padded out of the den only to find many cats surrounding a small lump on the ground. Running over he saw it to be Skywing, unmoving and bloody.
"What happened?" Thrushnose asked, panicing.-------
Scuffling sounded throughout the den, Aspenwhisker would have ignored it had the warmth stayed. Groaning she opened her eyes to see that Thrushnose no longer layed beside her. I guess it's time to get up.. she thought, almost wanting to scowl at the idea.
Peering out the den she saw Thrushnose asking a group of cats what was going on, though she couldn't see what the commotion was about. Padding over casually, Aspenwhisker saw it. "Sk-Skywing!" -
"Okay." Aspenwhisker mewed, lifting up her tail so her mentor could see it. "I think I fought pretty well but I wasn't paying attention and it got me." she said wincing at some of the pain.
