First thing, gore started bothering Infinitepaw less and less, which was probably because she had started craving meat. Meat, which usually made her sick thinking about it, now it seemed like a delectable meal. Easing out of a vegetarian diet would take a bit of time though, if she didn't want to get sick.
The calico slunk through the trees, following the distinct trail of a mouse. Hunting was a skill she was relatively good at, especially sense she had spent so much time training. However, twice today she had carelessly stepped on a twig and spooked her prey.
She dragged her body across the ground, keeping her green eyes locked on the small rodent's body. It was too preoccupied with a grass seed to notice her. Within leaping distance, she sprang, slamming her paws onto it's spine.
Not her cleanest kill, but defiantly food. The sweet smell wafting from it was tempting, so she tore the flesh from it's bone. Yep, Finny had zero percent self control. -

Oh shit. The young she-cat wasnt expecting this to happen. She tried to dig her claws farther into her attacker's back, for the purpose of being able to hold on. The fire severe burned the top of her spine and scorched her fur. She squished herself closer to his scales, hoping that if he tried that again he'd scorch himself.

Of course this would happen to her. While everyone else was getting epic familiars, like dragons and griffin, she would get a normal animal. Personally, she had been hoping for a phoenix. At least she got the bird part right.
It was a chicken: she was about one year old, and her feathers were a russet brown color. There was scar on the back of her neck, but it wasn't noticeable. She didn't speak: because she couldn't, likely, sense she made frantic attempts to communicate with her wings.
What should I call you... Finny thought.

Finny stalked under a bush, following the scent of a rabbit. This is where the trail ends, she thought hastily, lashing her tail in frustration. Of course, her tail hit a branch, shaking the entire bush. When she tried to pull her tail back down, just what would happen, it was stuck.
The more she struggled, the more that the bush collapsed around her and got her stuck. For a brief second, Infinitepaw imagined herself as a bigger creature, who probably wouldn't get herself in this predicament.
The fur started to recede into her skin, and scales formed down her body. Her limbs started to stretch out, and wings ripped out of her back. Sharp claw-like formations poked out of her spine and lined down to the tip of her growing scale. Her face flattened and lengthened, and in a matter of two seconds, Infinitepaw was a full-sized dragon.
And the bush was no more, but I believe that was a given.
