When an odd man arrives at 221B Baker Street, Sherlock expects the usual - someone with a possibly interesting case for him to solve. Yet something isn't right about this client (called the Doctor) and Sherlock can't even begin to deduct his backstory. Soon Sherlock is caught up in the Doctor's mystery, opening his mind up to the seemingly impossible.

Please follow my one rule - STICK TO THE CHARACTERS' ORIGINAL PERSONALITIES! I understand that sometimes the personalities will be off (this will happen to me), but please, if you are playing Eleven, don't make him bland and dull. You may chose any Doctor (even one from the Classic if you want - the 4th would be interesting). Be semi-advanced to advanced. Thanks! :)

Sherlock was in his flat, thumbing through the newspaper. Nothing was happening. Why did life have to be so quaint and peaceful? It was so boring! Isn't there a serial killer out there somewhere? He set the paper down and put his hands in a prayer position underneath his chin, trying to calm himself before going to his gun to shoot at the wall. "John!" he called, wondering if his friend was even in the flat. Sherlock often didn't realize when John left, as if he was always supposed to be there.

(Hmm - I like it and I agree. Clara wouldn't go insane, but perhaps she shows a bit of a darker, conflicted side as she becomes an empty shell. The only way out is to tell the Doctor the truth.)

(Oh yeah you made me feel so fuzzy inside when you described the Doctor's "dramatic flair" and at the line, "How about something...magnificent?" I love Twelve, and you play him perfectly. Is there anyone you can't play?)

She sensed that the Doctor didn't fully believe her, but he'd just have to deal because there was no way she was going to tell him the truth about Danny. It would break his hearts, and kill the joy of saving his home planet. As Clara cleared her throat, she also cleared her mind, gleefully following the Doctor to the console. She gave a little chuckle at his rhetorical question. "Magnificent," she echoed, bobbing her head a couple of times. "Sounds fair." She waited for the TARDIS to come to a stop, letting the wheezing of the brilliant time machine ease Clara back to the good times.

Sherlock didn't make an effort to get up from where he was, or even take the newspaper from his face. He stayed sprawled out on the couch, only just deciding to shoot the wall. But at the knock at a potential client, he restrained his urge. "Come in," he said through the wall, sound carrying through the bullet holes.

(Maybe the door is locked and the Doctor sonics it, for comedic relief?)

Sorry - this thread was a mistake. I may re-open, but I've been really busy.

LOL! What's HILARIOUS is that last night, Asylum of the Daleks aired on PBS and then you post, Nova! XD Talk about coincidence, which I've been surrounded by a LOT lately!

"Fairly obvious," Sherlock answered still not letting the newspaper go or bother to sit up. It took him a moment, he blinked, and then lowered the newspaper. "You seem too calm to be a client. You want to see me for the heck of seeing me. I'm a detective," he lifted the newspaper to its original height. "Not a sculpture. Goodbye."

(The planet - I imagine something like Earth, but deeper, darker hues. I imagine a few cities where all the buildings are of the same heights, showing lack of superiority. An advanced planet, with technology similar to Earth's, if not slightly poorer. The people will be humanoid but also resemble animal slightly - for example, imagine a man with gray skin and a horn poking up from the ridge of his nose [rhino] or a woman with orange hair with black stripes, a tail and huge hands [tiger]. Animals represent balance and acceptance, while humans represent the opposite. This is a representation of what once was [human greed] and what will become and what should be [animals], though not completely literal. There are landmarks of great battles. I bet this sounds bad, but eh)

Sherlock took the newspaper, eyes deadlocking onto it. He skimmed through the article, picking out important bits of information with his intense eyes. He studied the picture, deducting that the girl was the Doctor's friend whom he had a crush on, and who may have had feelings for him herself. The police box, though - what was that for? There were none of those on the streets anymore. Then Sherlock remembered. 2006, Christmas headline - Drunk Driver from Above. It had been about an odd blue box bouncing on the roofs of cars travelling down a highway. Nothing critical, but insurance agencies were busy that week. "The box - it's appeared before." Sherlock went on to explain the article he had read 8 years before.

(XD It was at the top of my head. Took two minutes xD)

Clara gave a little chuckle and bounded for the doors. She placed her hands on the doors and opened both of them at once. Her chocolate brown eyes, which sparkled with wonder, automatically moved to behold the beauty of the planet miles below. It was absolutely breathtaking, Clara taking in the rich colors of the planet. "Wow," she breathed, a huge smile spreading across her face. "Wow!" She whipped her head around to face the Doctor, her hair flicking. "What is it called?"

(Oh WOW I feel dumb! XD)

Mrs. Hudson was washing her dishes, humming an old tune. From the Beatles, though she had never been one to fan girl over the boy band when she was young. Nice songs, though. Fate seemed to take over her dish washing, however. The sink quit pouring, and Mrs. Hudson stopped whistling. "Oh dear," she sighed, staring up into the faucet. "Sink's not working again!" That was when she heard shuffling, and the squeak of a young girl. She hurried to the front door and opened it, shrieking in horror at the bloody girl on the steps. "Sherlock!" she cried out, then bent down towards the girl. "It'll be alright, dear."

Okay - you play the 10th Doctor (if you'd like) and I will play an oc. I've never played an oc before (tried to but it normally didn't end well). Perhaps it takes place in between Martha's leave and Donna's entrance. I find that to be a good time period to fit someone in. Any forms I should fill out for my oc?

I'm going to make my character a guy - nice little change. I've never seen fan fictions or rps about the tenth doctor travelling with a male assistant (except for Sherlock and Sam & Dean from Supernatural). Not that they have to fall in love (unless you want them to - I'm whatevs). But here he is -

    Jacob (Jake) Mackson
Jake looks like a young Rupert Graves (search "young Rupert graves" and you'll see). However, his hair is short, with a tuft hovering at the front. He is 26 years old, out of college, and ready to start his life. He currently works as the co-manager at a 50's looking diner, and he's looking forward to a life in the business world some day. When he's not wearing his work clothes, he prefers a black leather jacket over a t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black tennis shoes - he's still a kid. Jake is ambitious, jumping into things head-first and always striving for bigger and better - anything to put himself at the top. This has gotten him into trouble with previous dates, almost like the trouble Ebenezer Scrooge got himself into with Belle due to his greed (A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens). Jake doesn't really care about anything except his career now, though he feels an emptiness, especially when his friends ask him, "Is this really all there is to your life?" Yet when he meets the Doctor, his world is changed, and he becomes a better person.

Wow. I'm proud of myself. Anyway, I was thinking we could Christmas this up. I mentioned Scrooge - maybe we could incorporate a little Christmas Carol into this.

    Plot -
Across the street from the diner, there is a shop that sells Animatronic Santa Clauses. These animatronics haunt Jake - he's even got a phobia of them. He tries not to let them bother him, but one night, as he's leaving (being the last one), one of the Santas pop up at the diner, insisting on food. Maybe the Doctor comes in as well, having been tracking the shop across the street, which turns out to be a space vessel. Somehow, the Santas are a symbol of Jake's greed, being the ghosts of his past, present, and future.
