A sound like the rushing wind filled the resting tiger cub's head and he blacked out. Opening his eyes, Jace found himself a lot closer to the ground than he could ever remember. Standing, he recognized whiskers and a feline smell, however, he was only about three inches higher than before. Running as fast as his stubby legs could carry him, Jace reached a floor length mirror. Gazing in, the tiger's mind saw a kitten. No, not a kitten. A full grown, five inch tall, black and white spotted cat. Apollo, he screamed, his voice orchestrating around the stone halls. I'm worthless! What good was a tiger stuck in the body of a munchkin cat body?

The mind of the tiger cub had been forced inside the body of a black and white munchkin cat that could do virtually nothing by his godly roommate in his head, Apollo. He had been trying to hide the fact he was stuck in the smallish form from the rest of the group but finally just gave in. No more hiding his new worthless form, He was gonna have to own it.

Jace steered clear of the crazed primate, pearched up in the tree Ferdy banged his head on. Their was a price to immortality, to sharing your soul or selling it. Jace hadn't had to pay it yet, but hosting a god by choice or force had prices that demanded to be paid no matter the cost, just not your own life. Jace didn't climb down to comfort him, being vulnerable in his new body of a midget cat, but he bent his black and white head in recognition of the male's pain, sorrow, and suffering. Breathing gently he whispered, I can't say I've felt your pain yet but I will. We live an endless fine line that arches and falls like a bird in flight. A line that is severed in some places where the road signs are births, deaths, and battles.

Jace crouched low to the ground, his short legged feline body about to pounce on a rabbit nibbling grass ahead of him. Leaping, his worthless legs taking him half a foot rather than the needed three. Fuming, he headed back to camp, his ears pounding with rage. Reaching the fresh kill pile, He found the same rabbit he had attempted to slay dead. Unsheathing his claws, Jace began slashing at it to the beat of his roaring blood until nothing was left but shreds of meat, fur, and broken bones. Growling, he began to stalk away, his blood still roaring in his ears like the angry tiger he once was.
