↳patient//depenable
kamaria is one of the most kind people you may ever meet, and possibly the most patient. she has no trouble waiting for things, and thinks things through before doing anything impulsive. when it comes to people, she is more than welcome to take time to help another, especially if everyone else refuses to do so. one of her best qualities is to see the best in people, and then help them become what she knows they can be.
kamaria is incredibly dependable, and would have anyone's back in an instant. she is much more likely to cry then to ever yell or shout, although both are highly unlikely. you can nearly always depend on her to have comforting words, as she will never waver in loyalty to anyone.
it is extremely rare for her to loose control of her emotions, but calling her unfeeling would be incorrect. when kamaria gets upset, she does her best to conceal it, as she is afraid of potentially hurting others in letting her emotions go. and she absolutely hates to hurt others, and could simply not stand to do so.

↳forgiving
kamaria is extremely forgiving, as she constantly reminds herself that everyone is human. as seeing the best in others is a natural skill of hers, forgiving will often come just as easily. she doesn't believe in punishments, although she understands the reasoning behind these. she just doesn't think they help, as they can sometimes lead to the spark of more uncalled for action. she would never admit this to anyone of authority, but tries to avoid watching the punishments every time she can.
although kamaria is willing to forgive anyone, although she doesn't tend to forget easily. people often treat her as gullible, but she refuses see the darker half of anyone, including those who are nearly all dark. this causes people to play with her, and she secretly feels as if she is constantly being taken advantage of.

kamaria is understanding to all sides of people. she understands that everyone has their ups and downs in this world, and is a natural forgiver. talking with others comes naturally to her, and she can nearly always tell when something is wrong with a person. she has a knack for nearly always knowing what a person needs, weather it be the right words or a simply touch on the shoulder in quiet. it's easy for her to get things, even when they aren't spoken aloud. things that others miss are often what she picks up on, and is pretty good at knowing body language.

kamaria may not seem like the smartest person, but she is actually an incredibly intelligent girl and quite the logical thinker. her intelligence can be quite easy to pick up if you look at the details. maybe it's her eyes that lead you on. the quick glances she throws nearly everywhere she goes, as she soaks her surroundings up like a sponge. or perhaps it's her quiet and thoughtful remarks, that are often lost in the chaos of life. anyhow, if you look close enough, kamaria seems to be quite the intelligent girl.
she's a quick thinker. let's start with that. logic was never hard for her, and riddles are her brain's best friend. tell her a problem, she will come up with solutions. simple as that. speak of such, simplicity is a love-hate thing for her. she loves to unravel intricate things, but some plain things re just as complex. like things like leaves. structures made of natural see-through fabric, with a single through the middle that sprouts other lines from all of the original line. fascinating to someone who loves details. and details were always compelling to kamaria.

curiosity killed the cat. oh yes. but is it curiosity that killed the cat, or the cat's actions caused by curiosity? debatable, but far from where this should be going. now let's just say the obvious. kamaria is a curious girl.
curiosity is a human trait. everyone is curious at some level, but those who show it are in pursuit of things fabricated by... this just got off track fast. those who are curios (in a nutshell) strive to find things that they see everyday, but can not understand. they venture out to place to find things they have already seen, but see them with different eyes.
all intelligent people must be curious. otherwise, why would you want to learn?
now to kamaria (where this should have started). she is a dreamer, someone driven by curiosity to find new things. she may not be spontaneous, but has a constant drive to learn and understand things. she silently yearns to learn about things that can not be understood, but things that can be seen and touched.
curiosity may sound like a pretty strong trait, but not if you keep yourself in line. it's rare that kamaria will let her curiosity run wild, as even big cats (like lions perhaps) can be killed.

kamaria likes solving problems. and it's somewhat easy for her. staying focused, finding clues, noticing the details- they're all things she excels at. logic comes hand-in-hand with these skills, so she is overall a very good thinker in general. these things may not always seem obvious, but they're there. you just have to look a little.

if you listen closely to kamaria's words, you will have no trouble believing she is mature beyond her years. her articulate and well thought-out words never seem to be sloppy, and even her rare jokes sound at least somewhat formal. you just about never hear her stutter, although you may see her pause for several moments to think of a reply, although these are normally detailed and very thoroughly thought through. her well thought-out instructions and tips maker her an incredibly good teacher when it comes to most things, and her patience is a quality that does her well in this area. especially because she imply loves helping others.

↳polite//obedient
you would never hear kamaria disrespect someone superior to her. no matter what she may be thinking, feeling, urging to do, she would never speak or act out against authority. anyone with a rank above her, will always have her full respect and obedience. no matter how crazy the order, she would never openly disrespect their wishes. she may disobey them in the long run, but only if the situation is incredibly out of hand. it's as simple as that.
since she basically raised her younger sister, she always keeps her manners in check, in fear that her little sister may pick up on little things that would not develop her character well. so saying please and thank you became vital in her mind. she started greeting everyone, being careful to be inclusive, and overall became a more friendly person through manners. so it is overall safe to say that her manners are incredibly close to perfect.

bragging is simply something kamaria would refuse to do. she dislikes the thought of waving around one's achievement, and would much rather keep them to herself with a warm smile on her face. she sees no reason for unnecessary competition, and does her best not to compare herself to anyone, from the queen to the apprentices. admitting she is proud of her actions is something she would never do out loud, but instead keeps these memories close to her heart, and may silently remember these.
if someone else may be bragging, she would listen closely and attentively but not add anything to the growing list of random achievements. even if everyone else would start to brag and blab, she would politely listen or maybe even excuse herself.

↳motherly
raising a little girl nearly all on your own requires a good amount of exhaustion, especially when you're still a girl yourself. kamaria loves her little sister both as a mother and a sister, but is incredibly motherly in the sense she would protect her sibling with her own life. sacrificing sleep, food, or comfort for her younger sibling would be nothing to her, and would do it in a heartbeat. she also developed a similar type of a feeling for the pride when a great deal of the members took care of her after her parents left, and would do anything for the pride.

kamaria would work for nearly any amount of time she could stay awake if it would somehow benefit those she cares for. even without a reward, if there is work that needs to be finished, her hand will nearly always be one of the first few raised. volunteering is something that comes naturally for her, and is a reflex no matter what the task may be. from gruesome, to uplifting, kamaria would do it for anyone.

kamaria was born to an incredibly loving mother and a stubborn father. maragret elizabeth kingston and sean paul reed both wanted their offspring to have proper african names, so they named their eldest daughter kamaria an african name meaning moon. they gave her a african middle name, and accompanied it by a last name of the same language. so kamaria zuri kalahani was named.
kamaria spent most of her time in the nursery until she was six, but always found time to explore. when she was six, she had chose what path to follow. her original extinct was to chose the path of the medic, but chose the hunter after much thought and conflicting feelings. the medic was the more peaceful of the two, but the hunter made sense in the reasoning that both of her parents had held the position. since the young girl looked up to her mother, she chose the position of hunter. looking back, she does not regret this decision in the slightest.
the six year old kamaria took training for her position incredibly seriously, and even spent her free time doing extra training, determined to be the best she could be. her mother helper her once she was allowed back into her position, and trained her daughter nearly everyday for hours at a time. her mother was incredibly active in her daughter's life, but her father was... not. he barely even talked to the young kamaria, despite her friendly smile every time the two caught eyes.
when kamaria was far over nine years old, her mother announced that she was pregnant with yet another child. her mother had a very long pregnancy, which was found unusual. the small child was born on april sixth, and kamaria had a baby sister. nia became the focus of her mother's attention, but kamaria didn't mind this, as she loved her sibling with no jealousy at all.
kamaria's mother died.
two years after nia was born, kamaria's mother became ill quickly, and died within three weeks. the twelve year old wept for days, while her father sank into depression. he refused, to talk, work, or even move from a dark corner he considered home for three months after eventually getting up in the middle of the night, and walking off of pride rock. her lifeless body was found the next day, and kamaria broke bown again. her clueless little sister, followed in suit.
on that day, kamaria decided she would raise her little sister. and for the sake of her sibling, never cry again. she stuck to this, and raised her little sister with help from the pride. she trained harder, and became swift and intelligent. she doesn't speak much about her past, and only let's it influence her in ways that make her stronger.
