[fancypost bgcolor=#171717; borderwidth=0px; width: 470px; max-height:; text-align: justify]She had roamed for a long time, free of burdens, a solitary feline as her species often was, but her reasons for wandering alone were most unusual; at that time in the year, most tigresses would be burdened with children, but alas, her's had died before even being born, a tough attack forcing her to miscarriage. Most would presumably break beneath the grief of having to lick premature bodies, their cold, still little frames laying limp in the dirt, but not she; no, she had sobbed for a while, named them, buried them, and then left to wander, just aimlessly, with a fierce glint in her eyes. A hatred for males had slowly spawned in her mind, remembering this one tiger, and she sought to kill him, end him for ending the lives of babes whom hadn't had a chance to live.
Her motherly instincts were still strong though, so when she'd come across a mother gorilla corpse and a baby clinging to it, she had immediately swooped to save the baby, curling him close to her and letting him suckle, letting him feel loved and safe again. Though he had not a formal name, she referred to him as her Chouchou, and he was treasured, the only man -- or rather, boy -- in her life.
Six months later and he was eight months old, though still clinging feverently to her underside. Claire didn't mind, though, and the two year old tiger was content to nurse him for as long as he needed. Now though, she was nearing the Dominion's borders, and, curiously, the female sniffed at the scent markers; if these were friendly people, perhaps she could take refuge, the times being hard on her as she had to eat more and feed her adopted child, her body abnormally still producing milk due to the constant suckling the baby required. In a working group, a usually solitary tiger could easily be fed, as could the baby, and the chance of them both surviving would skyrocket.
"Hello?" Claire la Fleur called out, then.
