[glow=black,2,300]Wren Rosalyn Locheen[/glow]
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Female
District: Two
Personality: Wren is a closed-off person who can often be found dwelling with in her own thoughts. Those who know her would often describe her as quiet and reserved, but never shy. As far as conversations go, Wren does not really put a lot of effort in and often gives short abrupt answers that will end a discussion and result in awkward silences. Though Wren is incapable of noticing this and is generally not very good in social situations. She prefers alone time and sees little interest in events involving large groups of people. When insulted, Wren becomes extremely defensive and will often say things she doesn't mean, or rather things she doesn't really think through first. She will lash out and end up hurting herself and the other person badly before her rage simmers. Once she has calmed down, she's able to think straight once more but will still hold grudges against someone who has insulted her. She is easily angered and will need to be restrained. What comes out of Wren's mouth is often rude and sarcastic, if not painfully honest. She has little consideration for other's feelings and will give her opinion, never mind the circumstances or results. Because of this, many dislike Wren and choose not to be around her and she's happy that way. Wren is very intelligent when she's thinking straight. Perhaps not academically, but strategically she is very cunning and sly. Her risk-taking is what gives her an edge, but not to the point that she'd get herself killed. Wren does not laugh in the face of danger, but she does not shake like a frightened rabbit when something frightens her. Fear is merely a creation of the mind, she tells herself, but danger is ever-so real. Wren is not all cold. Underneath the many layers of rudeness and standoffishness is a girl who just wants to be known and accepted, especially by her fellow trainees and her family. A girl who is persistent and just wants to prove herself. Big things come in small packages, and Wren is proof.
Strengths: Wren is rather quick and agile, her aim is almost impeccable and she is able to surpress feelings easily. She's also a good cilmber.
Weaknesses: Wren's size means she is not very strong or intimidating. She cannot use large weapons such as swords, and she lets her rage blind her.
Fears: Claustrophobic, death and deep water.
Alliance: Most likely will join the career alliance.
Token: A hair-tye from her sister.
History: Wren was born to Titus and Emerald Locheen fifteen years ago in a middle-class part of District Two, three years after her sister Thorn was born. Growing up, Wren never went hungry or without clothes as they lived in a fairly wealthy district, though they didn't live in nearly as much luxury as the Capitol people. Wren was never all that grateful and took most of her things for granted. She attended school normally from age 5 - 10
When Thorn was aged twelve and Wren was nine, Thorn was enrolled in the district's specialist academy for 'career tributes'. Thorn was tall and slim, but she was not the makings of a career. She put little effort into her training and couldn't even bear to hurt a fly. She was a gentle soul. Her father's money was wasted and he was disappointed; he wanted a son who could make their family proud, but instead he had one daughter who took no interest, and another who was far to small to make it anywhere.
Surprisingly, Wren showed interest in training at the age of ten after stopping by at the academy for a short time to watch Thorn train. As soon as her sister was pulled out of the program, Wren begged her father to let her go. Her father humored her, though he knew that they would just laugh at the tiny girl. Surprisingly, Wren was accepted into the academy and began training straight away at age ten, moving onto weapons at age twelve. She was not strong, but faster and more agile than most of the others in her class, and her aim was very good. Other girls in her class mostly ignored her or called her 'kiddo' or 'shorty' to Wren's dismay. But who needed friends?
Wren's first crush was at age thirteen, on a boy a little older than herself. Wren spotted fourteen year-old Leonis Greenlaw training one day and took an instant liking to the boy, but he just gave her funny looks. It wore off after a while, and Wren shook it off as childish thoughts as she concentrated once more on her training. It wasn't long however until Leon and Wren were on speaking terms and still remain good friends, Wren failing to ever mention her previous thoughts.
Now, at fifteen years old, Wren's pretty deadly. Her trainers agree she's ready to go into the games, but would prefer her to remain in training just a little longer. But this red-head has other ideas. It is her ambition to win the games and to bring fame and glory to her family and her district, and that is exactly what she intends to do.

[glow=black,2,300]Talon Jaime Fairbain[/glow]
Age: Eighteen
Gender: Male
District: One
Personality: A typical District One male. Arrogant and confident when it comes to his own skills, underestimating others. Talon is close-minded, believing himself to be superior to the outlying district and even the Capitol, deeming them all as stupid and weak-minded. You'll usually see Talon with a smirk across his face, bragging about his many exploits and how he's going to just own the games. He doesn't even see those around him in the training area as a threat. No he's pretty stupid when it comes to that kind of thing, even to the point of narcissism. Yes, Talon is pretty much in love with himself though he won't admit it. It's pretty obvious to those around him, and it usually ticks them off. Talon just brushes it off as jealousy. I mean, why else would they give him dirty looks? When it comes to the opposite gender, Talon is confident, flirtatious and playful. He's also very forward about his intentions, which is a turn-off for some. But that's not the sort he's looking for anyway. Behind the pretty boy act, Talon is a leader. At least he thinks he is. Don't put him down, or you'll either put him in a mood or get a slap around the face. Not even messing with you there.
Strengths: Talon's good looks and charm will win over the Capitol audience and get him sponsors, and he's pretty strong, can handle a sword well.
Weaknesses: Arrogance. Talon underestimates his opponents. He's not very light on his feet, and he can't do long-distance combat.
Fears: Drowning, rodents and great heights.
Alliance: Most likely will join the career alliance.
Token: N/A
History: Talon has never been hungry. He's always had food on the table, but nothing as grand as the Capitol. And the fact that his father is the head peacekeeper really helps. His father, Christian, used to live in the Capitol. That was until he fell into debt. The Capitol offered him a choice; he could rot in jail, or he could become a peacekeeper, and Christian took the latter. But they didn't expect him to shoot all the way up to Head Peacekeeper in District One, the most wealthy district. He is a fairly stern man who wishes for his son to become head peacekeeper after him. But Talon has other plans, namely girls. Girls and money. Girls are easy; Talon's pretty good looking. But money is more difficult to come across. To the delight of his father, Talon showed eagerness for the games at an early age. He attends the academy for six hours a day, five days a week. His training program is not nearly as intense as say District Two, but Talon is confident that he could win the games, and thus he will. Despite his eagerness, his father has made him wait until now at the age of eighteen to volunteer, and he's pretty deadly to say the least. Well-fed and strong, Talon will be a great victor if it comes to that.

yo, returning member here! i forgot the login for my old account, and i wasn't particularly well-known here anyway, so i just decided to start over.

anyways, hello! i guess you can call me regality, since that's my username, or anything else you'd like i suppose. i like history, reading, writing, and - of course - roleplaying. i consider myself to be a fairly advanced and literate roleplayer, though i've only been playing for about four to five years. i maintain several independent roleplay accounts elsewhere and am currently studying four a level courses, so i'm afraid i can't be entirely devoted to this site, though i do hope to partake in some fun roleplays and make some friends. if you'd like to roleplay with me, please don't hesitate to pm me or whatever! definitely looking for partners and plots, whatever they may be.

seeing as i am a new member, i have a lack of roleplays right now, so here's a plotting thread! being a new member, i also know that some of you might not want to roleplay with me without seeing whether i'm a decent writer or not. i will be happy to provide you with writing samples if you need them.

onto the plotting i suppose, but first...

some guidelines;

- i'll begin by saying that i am a little bit selective in roleplaying, but i am willing to give people a chance. if i feel that our interactions are just not working, i will ask to drop the thread. likewise, if you feel that we will not work well together, i will not be offended if you decide to break off our roleplay.
- i believe that ooc communication is an important part of roleplay.
- having roleplayed for a few years, i consider myself to be a capable roleplayer (i'm not entirely sure what qualifies for advanced here, but i'm going to be safe and say i'm definitely semi-advanced to advanced).
- that being said, you don't ever have to match my post length if you feel you can't. quality over quantity. all i ever ask is that you give me something i can work with. although you might think that i will reply faster if your responses are short, that is not the case - it drains my muse and i will most likely take a lot longer.
- primarily, my roleplay experience has been on forums. i'm also an active tumblr roleplayer. i'm familiar with how this works.
- please forgive any slowness on my part. real life gets in the way sometimes, and i have to concentrate on studies sometimes. roleplaying is recreational - please don't make it a chore.
- also, please do not hound me about replies. i will get to them in my own time. a gentle nudge now and then is very welcome, but please don't overdo it.
- i am better at playing females, but i might give males a go. i am more comfortable with doubling up.

what i WILL do;

the following are a list of things i am familiar with and could be interested in roleplaying. i could play some canon characters, but you should probably ask me first. i will not roleplay a canon character so that your self-insert can fall in love with them.

i would rather take inspiration from the things i am familiar with, and we can create plots of our own. as well as these, i am interested in hearing your plots so don't be afraid to pm me about them or whatever

feel free to inquire about anything else! i may have missed things off the list.

books;

movies/tv shows;

other;

what i won't do;
- i don't really have any triggers, though i don't enjoy body horror or excessive gore, so please don't try to force that on me.
- if you have any triggers, please let me know.

wow! how lucky am i to come back to this site and find people interested in a game of thrones plot? helloo there! i'm definitely interested in plotting out something got-related -- i've watched the show in it's entirety, and read the books so i feel i have fairly extensive knowledge on the series (even if this is only loosely based on it, maybe it'd be helpful?)
i would consider myself to be an advanced roleplayer (i've never really tried for uber-advanced before, but i'm sure i could give it a shot with the right thread).
risque scenes don't faze me. while i have some boundaries as to what i will partake in, it's not so much of a bother to me. violence/gore etc. won't be a problem either.

hello there! i'm so sorry, but would you have the wars of the roses a little bit confused with the hundred years war between france and england and the houses of platangenet and valois that directly preceded it?

by wars of the roses, i'm referring to the civil conflict between the war between the two branches of the plantagenet family, york and lancaster :) unless i'm the one confused?

TEMPEST 1 : it's been a while since i read the series, but i do remember enjoying the concept of it! i should probably brush up on my knowledge, but i'm assuming you'd like to do something based on that? c: would oc's be alright, since i doubt i'd be able to play any of the canon characters?

storm : ah, hello! of course i would like to do something games of thrones/asoiaf oriented! i don't have a particular plot in mind yet, but would you like to play with canon characters or our own ocs? (i mean we could use like canon locations/houses but maybe pre or post-series? whatever you want!)

so sorry about not posting; i've been busy over the past few days!
i'm reading over you guys' posts, and i'm a little confused as to whether we've decided to do something post-series or not? i'd just like clarification before i start throwing ideas around uwu

i totally understand your reservations about doing something post-series, as i am quite wary of the idea too, but it's been suggested to me in the past by others and i was only putting it out there as a possibility. i am more than happy to do something pre-series if you'd prefer :)

we could do something with a house loyal to the targaryens, but as far as i know the loyalists were mostly forgiven by robert baratheon and swore fealty to him. unless maybe we created a minor house that remained steadfast in their loyalty even after the fall and were therefore exiled? again, i'm not sure - just throwing ideas out there.

i can see this turning into quite a long process. would you maybe like to continue this over pm? :)

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: transparent; width: 400px; font-family: times new roman; color: #ffffff]
ohhhhhhh my gosh you watch the white queen and downton abbey. Please please do an rp with me XD it's so hard finding people who are into historical roleplays but I love them. I just got back from the UK and I'm super in the mood for either :P

ahhh friend let me love you! two of my favourite shows right there :) if i'm honest with you, i think i'd rather do something revolving around the white queen if the choice is between the two, but whatever you'd like! would you like to do something with the actual characters or...?

Sure! ;D

alright! um... i'm a little lacking in ideas for a plot right now. did you have any suggestions?

this is just my two cents, but seeing as though some of us here on the thread aren't up to date with the canon storyline, whether it be show or books, it would be incredibly difficult to do something post-series. if someone who is not up to date on the series were to unknowingly suggest an idea that contradicts canon completely, it would be kind of difficult to correct that person without giving them any spoilers.

on the other hand, if we were to do something pre-series there is much less of a risk of spoilers.we could pick somewhere in the timeline between aegon's landing (or even before that if people are feeling brave enough) and the canon timeline and roleplay oc's of canon houses. technically people could roleplay as canon characters that have been mentioned in passing, but have limited information provided about them (e.g. the targaryen royal family at a given time). we don't even have to stick to canon and we could go completely au with a rebellion, or whatever we wanted! storm seems to be interested in plots regarding essos, and we can definitely bring that in too!

i just think it'd be very difficult to do something post-series without contradicting canon completely.

Well I'm a BIG sucker for the gxg romances but I'm not sure I have a full solid plot yet. If there's any plot you have in mind is love to hear :)

i don't have anything specific in mind but are you interested in just plain old gxg romance or would you like to incorporate some other theme into it (eg. supernatural or fantasy)? just so i know :)

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: transparent; width: 400px; font-family: times new roman; color: #ffffff]
so like, war of the roses and such? Sounds fun. I would rather do ocs since I wanna do gxg but whatever youw ant :P

of course! hmm... maybe our characters could be two ladies at court during edward iv's reign? if you wanted. feel free to suggest other things though if you have an idea :)
