The male looked up at the sound of the knock, and smiled.

He moved swiftly to the door, and unhooked the lock, before pulling the wooden entryway open, revrealing himself and his home with a disarming smile.

"Katheryn. You came," he murmured in slight awe, smiling genuinely and stepping a side as he welcomed her.

    "This is our home, welcome."

Said 'great daddy of them all' was a massive tomcat of dark russet-cold fur, his weight and size quite staggering. His eyes, focused forward as he patrolled the ends of his own territory, were a bright golden-amber color.

He gave a sharp, chirping sound, pausing as he did. His tail swayed to and fro as he gave another chirp, his shoulders twitching and his chest heaving slightly at the noise.

No answer. This female seemed not to notice, nor care. But he did. He lived, but he did not thrive. He needed to extend his lineage... he needed a mate and further lands, and to have cubs. That was his current goal.... and who knows, perhaps he might love the great tawny femme when push came to shove...? Or she may just end up a breeding tool.

The cougar's eyes narrowed, before opening fully again, his prowl continuing, his jaws parted to draw in every scent, huge yellowed fangs cornering his maw.

After quite a while without response, the dark russet cougar became slightly wary. As the rustle of branches and the soft echoe of pawsteps reached his ears, he winced.

But to no real threat.. yet. He quickly scanned the scene, and followed by scent the close-by female, before halting, not even having had to take ten steps when he spotted her. His eyes narrowed lightly, and he sniffed at the air, ears alert, and tail swishing.

So the demon hired a new maid.

    Great.

From his desk, the Phantomhives uttered an under-the-breath curse, staring down at letters from various nobles and perhaps a letter from the queen. It was definitely not a time to train some foolish human into being worth their salt... but of course, it was his own fault.

Days ago, he had come home to the manor in disarray… Not even from Soma and Agni, nor from Ciel' s Fiancee, Elizabeth. From Bardroy, Finnian, and Mey Rin themselves. Is his anger, Ciel had carelessly threatened a new servant Being required, to show them how it was done.

But Sebastian, as useful as he was at times, proved incompetent, and probably thought he was witty in going off his words.

Earl Phantomhive enjoyed games of the mind and will, but the devil he was contracted would sometimes come back and nip him... perhaps because his grasp on the leash was to tight - but it was meant to be that way.

The answer was simple: Sebastian Michaelis was playing off Ciel' s words in order to toy with the young Earl.

    Damned Devil.

    "Sebastian!!"

Moments after his call, a smiling black crow was at the edge of his desk, tipping a pot of tea to let the liquid fall into his cup. The scent reached his nose, New, unfamiliar, and he inquired about it.

Sebatian gave a faint smile and relayed the tea's contents to the young Lord.

"An American tea blend, in other words, My Lord," he finally rattled off. " As our new servant is."
A sick smile prevailed for a moment on the demon's lips, but vanished into stupidity as Ciel gave an angry tsk!

The young Earl frowned and pushed the teacup away, not caring for it, and honestly quite irked about the situation.

"Take that away, Sebastian.... we need no more American tea in my cellar space than the need for any more Bardroys." The reminder was bad enough, but it was high time he knew of this new servant...

"Anyways. Bring me the new servant; I'd like to assess her as quickly as possible."

With an adressal of his words, the demon left his master for the moment, and moved quickly to the maid's quarters, knocking politely, crisply, so as to be heard.

"If you'd be so kind as to come with me, the Young Master would like to see our newest maid," the ravenette called to the door, stepping back a pace, and gazing pleasantly at the entryway. He had planed this oh so well, and with perfect timing...

He matter was now just to watch it all unravel.

Michaelis smirked quietly as she stepped out with plenty to say. She'd have to learn to controlling that later should she become an efficient maid.

But of course, he could make this more or less a part of his game.

Crimson eyes flickering, he made no move to correct her accent, nor speech. She was mouthy, and he always going to keep her that way for a while, at least. However, at her peculiar stare, he simply put on a show of a smile, tilting his head a bit and striding forwards, with a hand placed on the small of the American's back, guiding her throughout the Phantomhive manor.

"You will learn in time, Missus. As we all have."

For the rest of the time, he walked as a clipped pace in silence, until they come to Ciel's office. Here, he leads to girl to the ornate desk his master sits upon, bows, and introduced the lass as the new maid, coming all the way from Midwest America to work for us, and that he is sure to love her.

Cole only glowers at the two from his desk, and the ravenette butler smirks a smirk of devils.

Cole flowered on at the American for some time, his single dark blue eye flickering.

"What misfortune ails you to come here? What do you possess for Sebastian to deem you worthy of Phantomhive servantry?" The young Earl's words were clipped, cool in tone, though a challenging smirk played at the corners of his lips.

"Well?" impatient as he was, especially in his anger, her flashed his gaze to the demon who stood at his side, but the ravenette only smiled. Sighing, he looked over to the new servant. If she had nothing to give, then nor did he.
