"Of course, not at all. You're doing great, in fact, sickness wise," he nodded, just going along with it. "But you still have to finish it. I paid for this, all right? We don't waste food in this family." He announced, waving the spoon.
Tasting the soup, he realized it was definitely not the best but then again, it wasn't the worst either. For now, it was all they had anyway. He waited a while to watch her lazying around with the spoon, hands shaking still and gave up.
"All right, do you need help with that, Mel?" He asked, hoping she wouldn't decline being as stubborn as she was. The soup was still hot and he didn't want any soup spilling on her obviously. "Look, it's cool, you know? You're still on your meds so your hands being slightly unstable is okay." He swirled the spoon in the other bowl of soup, taking half a spoon and picking it up. "Sooo, there's no shame in this, all right?" He said encouragingly, extending the spoon to her face. "Come on, take it. It came all the way here, just for you."
"Everyone," she said incredulously, blinking at the slice of pizza and taking another bite. Then she leaned towards the guy, "I'm going to tell you a secret..." she whispered, "Everyone's an asshole in this world." Then with her wisdom passed on, she pulled back and chewed on the pizza.
"Except you." She sighed, "I thought you were an asshole too..." and exclaimed loudly, staring at the ceiling, "But you're nice??" She looked back at him in shock, gasping dramatically, "Which is SO WEEEIRD. I don't get it?? I don't get it."
