Damaris Leopold

"Pity pity." He said, slipping a hand through his hair and making a minor rain with all the shuffling.
Damaris surveyed the map and nodded. Swiping a hand across the screen, he opened another page. A blue page. Filling it with numerous seemingly unmeaningful phrases he proceeded when at last something much more technical came into view. It was another map but not of the building, but the locks of each of the test rooms.
"Now we just have to hack-" He blinked, "Um, we just did." They now had access to all the data. "Okay, con-fi-gu-ra-tion..." He said slowly, as he looked for a way to delete their steps into the system and cleanly kill it. Showing them a way out.

Veleda Aven

"Fine fine." She said stubbornly and used her healthy hand to sit. Then stand up, stuffing the unlucky arm in her pocket, pretending it didn't exist. Which was slightly difficult with all the pain but she was ready to get out of wherever they were. Leading again, which was sort of habitual now, she found out that there was a single source of light ahead. Right there in the middle of two rooms. One of them, she quickly recognized as an elevator. The other though, was much more simple and quite similar to the first floor rooms.
The elevator was there. Freedom, she thought. But her curiosity got the best of her. She reached the room beside the elevator and tried to open it. Immediately finding out that it was unlocked, which was simply shocking.
She looked at Ryan, "So what do we do? Check out the surprisingly unlocked door or sneak out of here towards freedom?" She asked, although she somewhat knew the answer.

(Let's skip the cracking part till Relle gets into the elevator. Then we can just...do it. )

Veleda Aven

Veleda had already stepped inside when she got the confirmation. The room was a small library with bookshelves everywhere. For a modern crazy underground test facility, it seemed like a disappointment. Maybe they just didn't want to rely on computers anymore. Or maybe whatever was stored here was too important to be saved on technologies you couldn't trust with hackers. Whatever the reasons, Veleda did not find any hint of danger and moved on to let Ryan in.
"Look at that, huh? Files and boring stuff." She commented, surveying the shelves full of hard files. Almost all of them were identical, with their according serial numbers imprinted on their backs. She was moving through the shelves, slipping her hand through them all when she caught a word: 'Georgina Brook'.
Georgina Brook. The name surely rang a bell. But she couldn't remember clearly. She pulled the file out and skimmed through the pages till she caught the biography and a face. A familiar face.
"That's Gina! She used to be my neighbor!" She exclaimed, stunned. "But she was..." Veleda stopped as a realization hit her. The girl had died two years ago. Veleda had even attended the funeral. Though the reasons to which a 20 year old girl died were not entirely confirmed. She had a seizure maybe. An accident? One thing was sure though: Gina was a subject. And her file was in Veleda's hands.
Veleda searched the file through, nothing but lists of her life with the tests. The same tests all the teenagers had. At the end though, Veleda found a page with a much shorter list.
Submission granted: Accessed room 1.90-2.90.
Subject did not fulfill the requirements and proved incompetent. Exposed to excess CO. Terminated.

Veleda was simply taken aback. It all made sense now. Georgina Brook couldn't handle the 5th floor's pressures.
"...Murdered." She completed, looking up at him in utter shock. "Of course she was." She continued, a bit aghast. Someone had died because of the facility's hidden measures.
Veleda was fuming with anger now, "They put in in two sentences! Just like that!" She thundered across the room, rummaging through the files. She needed answers or the mere thought of having to die without any would eat her alive.
"This God Forsaken Facility has some answers to give me!" Her voice crackled as she yelled at another file, which belonged to some 'David Brown'. Electrocuted. Terminated. She threw the file and moved on, looking for something more specific.

Veleda Aven

While Veleda was continuously busy gawking at files, looking for some source of information, she hadn't quite noticed anything peculiar. Nothing more peculiar than the fact that they were basically somewhere where people's death records were kept. She noticed the same neat piles of pages, the same boring way 'terminated' was written at the end of each of them and felt more and more frustrated. She'd always felt like a lab rat but never as much as she felt right now.
During the hustle of her outburst, she'd thrown some files away, but after getting her senses back she placed them back where they belonged. And searched calmly this time, eventually coming up to a stop where the files now read things like, 'Project 83'. She skimmed through the pages, only to find more on a collection of that year's progress. Which was nothing basically. But they wrote it down all neat and nice, numbering the number of people they had deliberately thrown down the 5th level and successfully murdered them. The file dated back a few years. She checked the year and something terrible evoked somewhere at the back of her mind. Shoving the file back, she took off in search for one word only.
Wild.
The name she had tried so much to forget. The name which connected her to the past and the past, unfortunately wasn't as peaceful as many would think. The name she'd removed from hers. But it was still connected to someone else. At that moment, she forgot where she was, only one thing remained and it was to have the answers. She hoped though, as she moved through the shelves, that her mind was just assuming the worst like it always did. But that was the truth after all, she found it. Right there, stacked in front of her.
Did her heart stop? Or was it beating out of its cage? She didn't quite remember as she took the file with trembling hands. Some other Wild. Some other Wild. Please. She chanted in her head as she flipped it open. Only to see the curly black mass of hair and the brilliant violet eyes. A small cry escaped her throat instead of a gasp as she registered the facts.
She felt her shoulders weigh her down, suddenly her legs weren't strong enough, she slumped against the wall, just staring at the picture. The picture wouldn't lie, would it? The picture smiled at her and Veleda's mind only refreshed everything. She caressed the picture, breathing heavily. Her head burst in anger as she clutched her hoodie and held back a shout. She was losing control, just like the multiple times she had before. But nobody had and nobody could see her like this. She had to maintain control, stop herself to fall apart. She couldn't fall apart, not when she had company. A salty tear dropped on the very page and she brushed it as it soaked, tearing the pages out and stuffing them in her pocket.
Placing her hands on the floor, she breathed-in and out, and then wiped her eyes with her sleeve. The room didn't feel right anymore. It felt like it'd burst into flames and burn her any moment. She had to get out of here. Find Ryan on the other side of the shelves and slip put out this prison. She stood up, heaving a breath and covering her head again, making sure her face didn't show much with all the bangs.
Hoping her eyes were normal and not red rimmed, she walked swiftly and found him. She didn't face him, didn't try to look at him and simply held his arm. "Let's go." She croaked, looking away and walked outside, pulling him along in a tight grip. She couldn't let him burn inside the prison-like room. Not when she finally knew the truth.

(Can't they just HUG EACH OTHER AND BURN THE FILES AFTERWARDS? No...? Okaaay.... :\)

Damaris Leopold

For countless minutes, his eyes didn't leave the screen as Melody accompanied him. Their procedure was simple and quick, it wasn't a big deal. Apparently, the scientists had never expected a break out. So there were no measures taken at all. It was a piece of cake, especially now that the death threats were gone.
At the end of their task, they waited as the screen loaded. Raising his hands from the keyboard, he looked at Melody in anticipation. That's when an ear-splitting sound ricocheted about, coming back in echoes, indicating the whole facility being alarmed. One of the three doors, slid open revealing their exit.
"It worked! Now we run! COME!" He took her arm and sped across the floor, shooting out of there as quick as he could. If there were alarms, there was security.

Veleda Aven

She was somewhat glad for the alarms, at least no one would care looking at her face in all the hurry. When the doors closed behind them, she found a comfortable spot on the floor and slid down, crossing her legs.
She thought to herself why she wasn't worried about the sudden alarms. Then she realized, it was because she wanted to get caught. Sitting down on the cold elevator floor, she looked at both of her hands. Somehow the pain had vanished. It wasn't even killing her anymore. Perhaps because something had taken its place. Her heart felt heavy and head numb. She realized, she still had company. Now, she didn't really care what anyone would think, looking at her staring at her hands like a lunatic. But it would be better if she was back to herself as soon as possible.
She sighed slowly and patted the spot next to her. "Join me, soldier." She was trying to get her loud tones back but it didn't really work. She looked at her hands one last time and stuffed the broken wrist back inside. Thinking how she wouldn't mind them to turn into murder-hands. She'd love to kill every single one of the scientists. Cracking their skulls might make her forget her sister's death. Her head sank a little as she thought about her. And she was afraid she might lose it again, so she cleared her throat.
"You did well. I might have to reconsider that promotion," She started for the lack of conversation skills. "Though I'm still hungry. You have yet to offer me food. Like, half of the reason I carry you around is to make available my needs. But you're a clumsy little red-head who doesn't have a pizza in his pocket. What a disappointment!"

(Yay!)

Damaris Leopold

The doctors filed in like a pack of wolves, Damaris wasn't sure he could take them himself. And that's when he recognized the man who had earlier saved his life, Melody without further though had an outburst. Damaris instinctively stepped ahead to be on her side, concern more than panic rising in his mind. They were advancing slowly now. He clenched his knuckles, getting ready for whatever that followed.
"Don't move," A sturdy looking fellow warned Damaris.
"Dear dear, look at that. We meet again." A sweet melodic voice full of mock concern said slowly. Damaris scanned the pack and located to find his doctor. The same one they had amazingly made fun of just a few hours ago.
He smiled, "Ah, it's you. So the witch finally gets her meal!" He exclaimed, confusing the other doctors. But successfully making the lady red with anger. She smiled nevertheless.
Damaris continued, "I fail to understand what you're doing here. Surely, you don't have the brains behind this experiment. The blunders you're capable of wouldn't make you the least bit qualified to have come up with this whole...whatever this is. " He smirked, shrugging at the end. "You just don't have the potential, see."

Veleda Aven

Veleda removed her bangs which were threatening to attack her eyes and gave him an annoyed smile. "Your problem, not mine. Why, what has modernization given us? They can't even produce pocket sized ovens." She said dramatically, "Humanity, you failed me!" She ended, stretching her arm, almost hitting him in the process... probably hitting him.
"They give us a stupid plague and a lack of entertainment with a mere population of oldies. But no, no, no! They can't process pocket-sized ovens." She shook her head dismissively, "Nor can they discover magic yet. Ignorant beasts."

(Why not we both control both NPC's? More fast!)

Damaris Leopold

Richard pulled Melody in a firm grip and turned her around, grabbing her shoulders, "Melody. Listen to me," He processed the best way to calm her, to explain her somehow. But for now, he had to separate her and get her to safety.
"I will explain later, we have to get back-"

Damaris was able to thrash around and pull himself backwards, letting out a kick at the witch doctor, who groaned painfully and came back furious.
"YOU!" She screamed, advancing with the syringe folded in her palm. Her state clearly meant she didn't care if the needle even hit the right spot.
"What a coward!" Damaris shouted, using his elbows effectively for all the injuring, "Need fifty doctors to keep a kid down!" Hands grabbed him from all sides. He dived and plunged his knee in someone's stomach.
"KEEP HIM STILL!" She ordered at the doctors who were failing to control him and prevent themselves from getting hit at the same time. The lady doctor stabbed the needle in Damaris's arm forcefully, his struggles failing. More doctors joined in and Damaris felt hopeless at the last moment, looking from the bundle of doctors to Melody. Spotting black mass of hair just as his vision blurred. Anesthesia kicking in a bit too fast, his body leaving consciousness at last. He fell lifeless in their arms.

Veleda Aven

"The world is anything but fair, my lad!" She announced in a different accent, looking up at the ceiling. There only needed to be some dramatic violinists in the background to complete the picture of the little act.
Veleda laughed when she realized her little hit had the ability to throw him off balance. "Agreed! The truth has been spoken. Now we only need to get on a fine little adventure on a fine sunny day on fine white horses in search of the mystic magical lands, yet to discover." She stretched her legs and spoke in the Scottish accent in the manliest hoarse voice she could make, "Me great grun'ma used to say, 'Whit's fur ye'll no go past ye!' But we'll make it happen ourselves! Say aye!" She said, taking a bang of hair from her ponytail and making a mustache even though she already had a blue one. But a hairy one was more realistic. She leaned across and looked down at him, "SAY AYE!"

Damaris Leopold

The lady doctor wailed, holding her stomach, "NOT AGAIN!" (this is sort of funny) She shouted, giving out an audible infuriated war-cry. Holding her self in an upright position, she limped towards the uncontrollable girl. At the last moment though she remembered something and looked at Richard, an incomplete sentence on her lips, "Sir!"
"DO IT!" He ordered as Melody was halfway through, the doctors a bit unsure at the moment.
"Don't let her get to him!" She ordered, covering the distance as the other doctors held her. Now that Richard had ordered, they weren't hesitating to hold her in a tight grip. The lady doctor, took out the second syringe and stepped ahead, careful to be out of her front and avoid any more kicking.
"Little squirrel in the cage!" She said through gritted teeth, stabbing the needle in her arm.
"Sweet dreams..." She sighed and sneered, looking at the about to be unconscious body.
Richard looked at Damaris and the people who were holding his form, "Take him to the 4th floor. You know where." And the doctors followed, at least 4 of them carrying him away.
"Sir-" The lady doctor started.
"You're off now, Doctor Bridget. Go home. Don't speak of this to anyone." Richard looked at his daughter, frowning a little. He was still unsure what he was going to tell her once she was awake. Or would she even listen.

Veleda Aven

She laughed and stood up, taking another bang and placing it on his upper lip, "Quite fair now, aren't we?" Making a mustache with her broken arm didn't hurt really. She felt pleased with herself.
"At least you're sure to have things to be done fairly when you're with me!" She said, "But not when we're talking about food." she continued, nudging his elbow, "I take moooore-"
The elevator doors opened, revealing a 16 year old brunette and a doctor. She stared and her eyes widened, "I'M SO SORRY!" She yelled, running away.
The doctor huffed a sigh, "Kids these days..." She said, completely annoyed and didn't try to occupy the elevator. Apparently they thought, some teenagers were 'busy'.
Veleda blinked and looked at Ryan innocently, "What did we do?" She clearly couldn't comprehend it at all.
She turned around and shouted, "HEY STOP!" making a little run, but she was held back. She realized soon enough that the alarms were still going on. They had to get out of the building.

Veleda Aven

Veleda froze, thinking about various lame excuses she could come up with. But it turned out, excuses weren't going to help them anyhow. The doctors crowded them and her mind came up with the only possible thing they could do. Hoping to the heavens for Ryan to get it, she nudged his arm slightly so that no one could notice. And then she sidestepped, head lolling on the left, a lazy smile coming up her sleepy daze.
She probably looked like an idiot, that's how wasted people looked anyway. She had no idea what being drunk felt like as she never had been drunk herself, but hoped she was looking like a goner.
"What'cha folks lookin' at?" Her speech was slurry, she placed a hand on her head as more doctors joined in with their contorted faces.
"Hey-" One of them came forth, but Veleda shook her arm wildly showing her a fist and letting out a lazy kick, "OFF WITH YER PAWS!" She yelled, grabbing Ryan's arm, "MA MAN, LADIES!" She said angrily, scaring the doctor to step back. "YOU...Y-YOU...STAY BACK! Yeah, that's...that's right..."
She was practically holding on to his arm completely when a few doctors came up to investigate the problem. They came up in two's now, confused to react just looking at one to the other in utter disbelief.
Veleda stepped towards them and warned, waving a lazy arm like a flag, "I will incinerate the bunch of you!" She shouted at them, and prepared herself for a trip, thinking I hope I don't break any more bones, then deliberately slipped right after she kicked thin air.

Veleda Aven

Veleda took a whole of a minute to get up, swaying every now and then. Then extended a hand at Ryan, pointing straight at his forehead. "See that there, eh eh?" She announced, head swinging to look at the doctors. She slapped his forehead, holding the head to show them clearly, "MINE!" She yelled at them as they wondered what on earth was going on.
Slumping back down, she tried to pull him up from the arms, "C-come...on, hunsie poo..." She pouted and giggled, "Let's get out of-of this..this...where are we?" She asked him, tilting her head completely.
"Ugly girls wanna steal you, pumpkin...my pumpkin!" She said, eyes half closed and grabbed his hands.
Some doctors tried to come near, to help them up maybe. But they were of course, making a mistake. "OFF WITH YER PAWS, I SAY!" Veleda begin, "He's..maaaaine!" She raised an arm, again pointing at his forehead. "Can't you, can't you...read?" She looked at Ryan in a half gasp, showing compete astonishment, "Can't..." She placed a hand in her mouth, eyes wide, "Read..."

Veleda Aven

"Ooooooo," Veleda had mused, nodding absently when she heard the explanation, hand still in her mouth. She looked at the ugly girl and supressed laughter, "Ooooh, like..that..." Obediently following suit, she tried to get up. Failed and held onto to him while he did pretty much the same. It took a lot of effort for her to get back on her feet, flapping an arm in air and thankfully grabbing Ryan's sleeve.
"Yush!" She said, smiling widely at Ryan as she hugged his arm, then looking back at the doctors and giving them a glare. "Ug...lies..." She murmured and clicked her fingers at them, "Will sue...you...Stealing...my-my pumpkin."
The doctors cleared way, letting them pass through. Veleda rested her head on his shoulder and gave them an unfocused gaze. "Let's, let's go...hunsie poo," She mumbled in a childish tone, stumbling forth.

Veleda Aven

Veleda didn't let go until they were at least a good distance away. Stupid guy couldn't control himself from laughing. Once they were away, she freed herself and even shoved him away a little, then completely lost it. Cracking up like an idiot, she held the wall for support.
"Ugly girl!" She hissed between breaths, holding her aching stomach. The laughing wasn't helping the already empty stomach.
"Did you-did you look at their faces?!" She asked, leaning against the wall and slowing down a bit, breathing steadily. But then she remembered the way they'd tripped over each other and Ryan shouting for her to get off, and held her mouth to stop herself from anymore laughing.

(Oh God. Look what my obsession made me do. ->

I'm going crazier...Help moi...)

Veleda Aven

Placing her hands at her waist, she breathed in once again, regaining control of herself.
"Huh, what?" At first she didn't comprehend his statement, but slowly a smirk made way up her lip. She was slightly surprised, greatly amused and not to forget- seriously hungry. And she clearly wouldn't mind chomping down a large pizza all by herself. But right now she felt like taking pleasure in the way he had offered her.
"Ya asking me out, punk?" She grinned, clicking her tongue, "When you will ever learn? Asking me out won't give you a promotion." She shook her head dismissively and gave him a stern look.
"Nope."

(YAY! YOU LIKEY. Yes, it's Ryan's. I just loved that quote. And SURE-DEE-DOO. I just can't find good backgrounds. x.x But here's more.

Veleda Aven

"Check out the attitude." She whistled when he turned.
Instead of following him, she kicked him in the back and kept up. "Ha! Let's go freak more people out." She commented, happily. She was planning to remove her name from his face, but thought otherwise. It would be fun. And anyway, she didn't want to delay food.
Turning on the GPRS she checked out for the nearest spots around. A food place only a few streets away was available, which only made her pace faster. Getting to it, she looked herself in the glass doors.
"Look at that," She pointed at the glass at her own and Ryan's reflection. "So hawt."

(Hue hue hue. ^-^)

Veleda Aven

It was fun hitting him. Especially now that he had started shouting as well. "Meh, I'm still thinking about it." She shrugged.
"Oh look, you're there too. Sorry, didn't notice you under the overwhelming power of my dazzling beauty." She commented, following and getting in first by squeezing through. The smell of a typical hotel assaulting her and making her even more hungry.
"OH, THE LORDS OF CUISINE AND DELICACIES. I OFFER THEE MY REGARDS." She said aloud, probably getting everybody's attention. Then acting as if it was completely normal, she moved towards a table for two and crossed her legs on the chair. "WHERE ART THOU, OH LOYAL SERVANTS OF THIS BEAUTY?" She said, looking for waiters. Who simply stared at her just like everyone else.

Veleda Aven

Veleda finally caught an eye with a waiter, looking out of place and dubious. She clapped her hands and motioned for him to come. He looked at his fellow for confirmation, then slowly walked towards the table. Straightening up, he asked in a formal tone. "What would you like, Ma'am?"
"What is it that you offer?"
"We have-"
"SILENCE!" She stamped a hand on the table. When she was sure that the waiter literally shook under her volume, she spoke softly with a smile. "Pepperoni pizza, if you will please." She said, "Same goes for my apprentice." And the waiter scuttled away, bringing their order after five minutes.
Veleda realized, just like many other places, this one was also crowded with grown ups. Mostly, getting back to their meals but some still viewing them with either annoyance or envy.
Getting back to her plate, she slapped her hands together and closed her eyes, "MY SOUL, MY LOVE, FINALLY WE HAVE REUNITED." She folded the pizza slice and took a bite, shooing the waiter away with a hand.

Veleda Aven

"I'm the Captain, you're the soldier. There's a reason for that." She stated with a glare.
She noticed the child and hid a smile. No matter her outright hate for the human population, she couldn't help but love the innocence a child had. But then they just grow up and corrupt themselves. Nevertheless, she held a soft spot for them. She was about to ask her name when Ryan made her go. She gave him a death-glare and went back to her pizza.
She didn't know if that's how she'd react, but she answered the last phrase. "Yes, I don't think so. I do enjoy it when I beat one to a pulp. Lovely feeling." She said, shrugging casually. But then came back to the point. "I don't know really. I love... " Now that she thought about it, there weren't many things she loved. My mom, yeah. That's one human she loved. But a thing.
"My banjo." She inhaled, daydreaming about her guitar. She named it banjo just so she could annoy people and confuse them to death. "My lurvely banjo! I MISS IT!" She chomped down another slice, unable to wait anymore. She probably looked crazy, so she slowed down a bit.
"And you? Your love is probably being an annoying je-" She stopped herself, that term was reserved for real jerks. Ryan was annoying all right but didn't deserve it. "Brat." She finished, correcting herself.

(I should probably stop but-)

Veleda Aven

"Honey, names don't matter to me. Tell me once I've used yours." She said, raising her eyebrows. "Ryan was it?" She finished a slice and looked up, "So you see...I like to live mysteriously..." She whispered in the same way she had when she'd met him. Though she felt like it was quite unfair, now that they had been through a lot of unexpected dangerous stuff. But she didn't feel like telling him anyway.
She made a mental note of hiding away her beloved banjo in a dungeon and gulping down the keys. But the thought itself made her tired, also making it clear how much she loved it. Her obsession with the instrument was sometimes a bit too much. She wasn't sure she wanted anymore people to know that.
At his denial, she looked up, a bit surprised. How was it that a person like him didn't love anything? Veleda had concluded he'd start up with the list of 'What is there not to love?' and had planned to regret asking him. But it turned out the other way, so she wondered if he simply didn't want to share. But for a person as annoying as him, it seemed impossible.
"Well, I refuse to believe that." She said simply, cleaning her hands with a tissue and mopping her face. "It's either you're embarrassed to tell me or you just have some other silly nonsensical reason made up by yourself."

(But-)

Veleda Aven

She was amused at his attempt at sarcasm. "You're a danger to people's hearing senses," She answered, still wondering why she remembered his name.
Veleda tilted her head, "Aven isn't my last name. Boohoo, fooled ya!" She exclaimed, raising a victorious hand in air. "It's my middle name." She explained, still not in any mood to give up. The curious kitty had to wait more.
Suddenly she got a little serious and entwined her fingers, placing her elbows on the table. She spoke softly but emphasized every word. "Names don't make any difference. It's the heart." She finished. She had a strong belief in that statement, even though she'd never before shared it with anyone before. She felt like names were just a reminder of being ordinary, a part of the human race. While personalities were what really made an actual difference. So what was the reason to call anyone Bob, Cob, Dob, Nod? When you could just call them, mustache man, funny face, weirdo? Made more sense. Apart from the humoristic turn of thoughts, the heart was really what mattered. And she felt weird now to have told him that. Sharing her beliefs wasn't really something usual.
Veleda felt success. So there was something he loved. She smirked and pulled her hoodie to her face, "But what if we never meet again?" She whispered in a sing-song voice, "What if this is just an illusion, a dream that you are yet to wake up from?"
She widened her eyes dramatically. "What if you're asleep, dear apprentice?"

(Because this obsession is getting way too much and-)

Veleda Aven

"Well intended. I'm glad you noticed." She said with a straight face, giving a head-bow.
The conversation was getting interesting and Veleda answered promptly, "Well, that is for you to judge isn't it? You're an annoying fellow, that's what you are." She added but continued her theory, "Existence isn't something we can question really, though I do it occasionally. I'm just a fraction of life about to extinct. Naming me won't change that. But knowing me might." She finished slowly, frowning a little.

"Which, I'm afraid you haven't been able to do so. Nor have I in your case. " She shrugged, "Whatsoever, it still doesn't matter what my name is. I'll forget yours just like you'd forget mine. It's the personality that matters." She said aloud her thoughts. "Say, if we never meet again. Years later, if we're alive and well, not murdered, huh." She grinned for a second, "We won't remember the names. We'd remember how you irritate people and how I constantly abused you." She placed her hands in front, "See now?"
Veleda raised an impressed eyebrow. She wasn't expecting to be remembered. But apparently, according to him he'd remember her. She was going to be sarcastic and say how she was thoroughly touched, until he said the last part. "So what you're saying is, you can't have nightmares? Nobody ever insulted you in your life?" She said in displeasure, "That's a whole lot of vanity."

(Nobody needs to! They are ours. We'll just use them over and over in fanfics and die.)

"Hey! Do not question my intellect!" When she heard him say something about confusing her feet, she raised a fork and waved it at his face, "In circumstances such as those, my judgement tends to deter." Then she heard the last part and slight surprise overtook the moment. Taking her hand out of her pocket, she realized it's been lying there ever since. And she didn't even feel the presence. Probably, hopefully meant there were no broken bones. Just wounded skin and opened stitches.
At first, she wanted to poke it with a finger. But midway in air, she stopped. And looked at her hand and mumbled, "It doesn't hurt. It's...numb." Her eyes stayed fixed at the black glove but her mind drifted somewhere else. "Pain fades after all." She inhaled, "Pain fades." She repeated and then blinked, getting out of her lost state. She suddenly felt uncomfortable and out of place.
She didn't notice his uncertain speech as she was in an uncertain state herself. Her gaze followed his and she looked outside at the grey view, only making her even more uncomfortable.
"I hate this weather." It was going to rain maybe, but there was no rushing wind at the moment. Just a slight breeze. And a strange hum. Grey skies awaiting the storm. Recalling memories, she simply felt remorse and anger. She looked away and tapped the table, finding a waiter. More than anything, she wanted to be back home as soon as possible and create some tones.
She gave the waiter a cold stare and stood up, saying, "We found a bee in a slice." After his request to show the bee, she gasped and told him what an insolent servant he was until he was scared enough to go red. Then she cracked up and patted his shoulder and walked away.

(YESH! And not even staying with this world and atmosphere. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!! )
