{Ooc;} I was still responding when you responded....
Eaglekit tumbled as Icekit pounced on her furry back. "Gah!" She choked out as she regained her balance. Her violet eyes narrowed. "Your gonna get it!" She hissed playfully and pelted after the silver kit.

Rhythmicpaw blinked; she had almost forgotten the kit her in rant. The apprentice slowly nodded her head in agreement. ".. I agree." She mewed. "We shouldn't argue now."
Her ruffled fur lied down as she calmed herself.{Ooc:} Sorry for the short post! >.>

{Ic;} Rhythmicpaw steadied her hold on the branch, and braced herself for the cat to climb up the wood.

"Hey there." A charismatic voice purred from out of nowhere. The boy landed himself onto the balcony's railing, his pepper colored wings flapping steadily to keep himself from falling off. His amber eyes shone as he spoke. "What's a fine girl like you doing cooped up in a place like this?" The winged male flirtatiously questioned.
Bay curled and uncurled her ebony wings in an effort to stretch them out. It felt like days since she had flew when it had really only been a few minutes.

{Ooc:} The balcony is upstairs bro. x3
And yeah, I don't mind. c:{Ic;} The wind blew through his hair, which was in total disarray.

The boy raised an eyebrow, casually raising his hands in a sign of mock surrender. "The name's Pepper-- and hey-- I bring no harm. Just saying hi." He clucked before lowering his hands and stuffing them into his jean pockets. A smile dared to twitch onto his lips.
"And besides, I could ask you the same thing." Pepper relied smoothly, indirectly managing to ask her name. His eyes glided over to the large leopard that had bounded up the stairs and was growling quite viciously at him. He stiffened.
"And uh, if you wouldn't mind, could you tell your cat to loosen up..?"

Ic: The past week had been a particularly strange one for Khiara. While her life was slightly abnormal already--which seemed to have started after the age of 12--the week had been quite bothersome. Her weight, for example, had dropped a massive amount despite the larger amounts of food she consumed. She also noticed how heightened her senses had become. She'd jump 20 feet into the air at the sound of a branch snapping. And her back, she could feel something shifting there--growing? It freaked the crap out of her. But she ignored it the best she could, hoping that it was some weird teenage thing that would soon pass.
The pallid girl took her seat directly behind Carol's. She murmured a greeting to both of the girls before letting her silver flecked eyes wander to the window that sat at her left. Khiara knew that it probably wasn't the best idea to be daydreaming when her grades weren't all that great, but, she just couldn't be bothered.
Flocks of birds roamed the sky as they flew in those memorizing formations. A smiled twitched onto her smooth face. The fleeting thought of how'd it feel to have the ability to soar through the cloudless stretch of sky ambled upon her. A silent sigh passed through lips. She could only dream. Khiara dragged her eyes back onto the teacher, who was blabbing on about something she was just too lazy to force her brain to comprehend. She frowned, noticing that Sophie had left. Just then, the loudspeaker went off, calling Carol out of class also. 'How peculiar.' She clucked. Despite her nonchalant thought though, the unnerving feeling washed over her again. Something was wrong, but she hadn't the faintest idea what. Like an eager dog pulling upon it's owner's leash, it tugged at her. She had to investigate.
"Excuse me, Miss?" Khiara asked in an overly sweet, fake voice, her dainty fingers raised. "May I go to the bathroom?"
The teacher nodded, and resumed her utterly tedious lesson. Khiara rose from her seat, and tried not to bolt out the door. The feeling in her gut only amplified. She could see the last traces of Carol's lengthy hair as she turned the corner, and she quickly followed. They were nearing the office when Carol's footsteps wavered. Khiara had to stop herself from jutting out to steady her. A couple of men in white lab coats sped out of the office, walking the now unconscious Carol to a shady looking car that rested just outside of the school's front double doors. She narrowed her eyes. Somebody else with the same form as Sophie was sitting in the car. Khiara tried to process this.
'Okay. Carol just suddenly went unconscious and now some scientist-looking people are dragging her into a weird car. That can't be right. Are they kidnappers?' Her heart skipped at the thought. 'They can't just throw random people into cars, can they? Either way, I've got to stop them.'
"What the h*ll are you doing?" Khiara growled boldly, giving the men her best glare.
They glanced back at her. One of scientists mutter something to the other before releasing his grip on Carol and advancing toward Khiara.
Her scowl deepened, and just as she was about to open her mouth to demand an answer, a screeching pain ricocheted through her head, and she was out.
Ooc: Btw not all my posts will be this long, I just wanted to catch up.
-
Thud.
Khiara's painfully sensitive ears caught the sound of Alek's body crashing to the ground. It echoed through the peacefully silent night, bringing her thoughts that drifted like the shifting water around her to a screeching halt. She was sitting at the dock--of course--as she did whenever insomnia haunted her. Which was practically every night. Khiara craned her head, curious as to what to disturbance was. Nothing stood out in the darkness. But noises like that weren't just nature. So she pulled herself up, and began the quick trek to the woods.
-
The Whitecoat that had walked her in shoved her roughly into the seat next to Sophie. Her raven hair hid her face as she bowed her head, teeth clenched and trying to push the dull throbbing that lingered. The girl had barely woken up before she was being rushed through halls and into the bland room.
Slowly, she picked up her head. To her far left was Carol, and right beside her was Sophie. Three scientists were stationed in her room, two of the three carrying ominous looking guns. Her stupefied brain gradually stirred to life.
'..These are the same people that napped Carol and Sophie, or at least the same type. I must have fallen unconscious also. But why did they take us here?'
She shook her head, still in the process of clearing it. 'They have guns for God's sake! That can't mean anything good. One thing for sure, we had to get out here.'
Khiara took a breath. "I don't know what you people are doing, and really couldn't give a damn. I just know that you can't go around throwing students into cars and point guns at their faces." Her voice lowered to a menacing growl. "So, letting us leave now would be an excellent idea, no?"

Name: Evelyn Lawliet
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Female
History: She was stolen from an orphanage and taken to the lab at ten to be experimented on. She ended up with large, pure ebony wings and heightened abilities. Evelyn can remember her life before the School quite clearly.
Looks: Soft, pale skin with stormy gray eyes. Long messy hair that falls to her waist. At the moment she looks quite scrawny, but has the potential for an athlete.
[font=times new roman]Personality: Stubborn is a great word to describe her. Defiant and challenging, she wont go down without a fight. You'll be sure to hear it if she thinks anything is unjust. Evelyn is also profoundly loyal to people whom she trusts -- which isn't a whole ton of people, for the School has caused her to be wary of strangers -- and would be willing to protect them with her life. Overall she is pretty easy to get along with -- as long as you're okay with her boldness -- but you would sincerely regret getting on her bad side.
Other: Has a natural talent for throwing knives. -

This sucked. A lot.
Eve laid on her back in her cage, her two feet pushing mindlessly up against the metal ceiling. She had been here for what-- five years? And she still couldn't (or wouldn't) accept the terrible lifestyle the School came with. She absolutely despised this place, it's never changing, tediously mundane routine, and the cruel, white-coated, mentally disturbed... entities that it harbored. Eve didn't dare call them people, those things were monsters. It brought fury to think that they thought testing on innocent people, innocent kids was even remotely alright. Eve sighed. And what upset her more was that she couldn't do a single damned thing about it!
Well, that's what she thought before this very special day had arrived.
Her senses snapped back to life as the sound of metal crashing against metal sounded throughout the room with endless cages. She twisted around, bending in awkward positions in her much-to-small cage before finding a comfortable spot. Eve's stormy grey eyes peaked through the thick bars, to see.. oh. In all of her time here, Eve had never seen the girl that was right now placed next to her. She had unnaturally bright blue eyes and straight blonde hair. She could tell that the girl wasn't new. Curious if any more new people had been arranged near her, she spun around to scan the cages encompassing her.
'I know him, her, that guy, that bird, that reptile, that cat-- oh!'
Right next to the blonde was another avian, with dark hair (that would probably look beautiful if it wasn't for the conditions of the School) and matching eyes.
'This place is just full of surprises, isn't it?'
Since these two sparked her interest -- and she had nothing better to do -- Eve decided to introduce herself.
"Ello! I haven't seen you before. I'm Eve. You?"
-
Eve blinked in surprise as Screech let out a loud squawk that soundly exactly like one of a barn owl's.
"..I can see why you've named yourself Screech." Eve said jokingly, a small smile forming on her face. Her smile grew a little wider.
"Your wings are beautiful!" Eve exclaimed, awed and slightly jealous by the luscious feathers. The tiny sound of a fearful voice caught her attention. She turned to see and wild eyed avian, backed up into the corner of her cage. Pity shone in Eve's eyes.
'She's new. Poor girl.'
She waved at the girl, trying to think of something comforting to say.
-
"Well, you're at the School. It's a place where demented scientists do experiments on either kids they decide to nap or make genetically." Eve explained rather bluntly, trying but failing to go after a gentle approach. She couldn't help it -- whenever how they got here was brought up, her insides would boil with anger.
"They put those there." She said before pointing out the girl's dark wings.
"But," Eve began, wanting to switch the topic with something lighter. "That doesn't matter, now does it? I'm Eve, by the way. And you are?"
-
'A plan? To get.. out?'
The thought stunned her. She opened her mouth to answer, when another quiet voice interpreted her. She peered through the bars of her cage to see the dark eyed girl she'd noticed earlier.
"Oh, hello!" Eve exclaimed, a grin splitting her face. This was the happiest she'd been in the School ever. A plan to leave this wretched place, and meeting these surprisingly nice bird kids -- Eve was actually beginning to think that they'd leave the School.
-
She glanced over at Jocelyn.
"Very." Eve switched her gaze to the strange boy, distrust swirling in her eyes. Screech wasn't the only one who looked at him with wariness.
"How can we trust you?" Eve asked him, almost glaring at the boy. But by the time she does, he's already flying out the window that he carelessly busted a hole through.
'Another avian?' She noticed dimly.
She returned her attention, finally realizing that the rusty door to her cage was opened. She imagined this moment would be easy, that she'd just run out and 'GTFO' out of this place, but Eve was nervous. Watching Screech lean out of her cage encouraged her to do the same. She looked down, took a breath, and slid out of her cage with one smooth movement.
