Set stalked over to another corner of the room, the squeaking of her armor bothering her to no end. She lashed her tail around, still seething with rage at the older Sandwing. "Who does she think she is," she snarled, her eyes dilating into thin slits. "I can escape from here whenever I want to." She flung off her armor, which made another loud crashing sound as all the metal clanked together. "Shut up," she hissed under her breath. Anything that made the slightest noise was going to die and as soon as Desert walked back into the training cavern, Set was planning to throw herself and anything else at her.

Set growled and picked the armor back up and started to follow Desert's instructions. The clanking of the armor still bothering her to no end.
-
Set sat down in the scrolls room and started to contemplate. "Hmmmm. . ." She muttered out loud, the clanking of the armor driving her insane. She opened one of the scrolls and started to read.
-
Croc shivered unconsciously, worried out of his mind. "We. . . We should probably sur-surrender, guys," he suggested, his tail flicking back and forth, lifting a small cloud of dust. He looked from the Mudwing patrol to his friends and could easily see that they were frightened and would be easily overcome. The Mudwings, on the other hand, were large adults, who had years of experience, who were barely showing any remorse. C'mon guys, Croc pleaded silently. Just surrender. It'll be the easiest way and no one will get hurt.
-
Croc nodded and let himself be bound, hoping that the others would do the same. This seemed like the only way, but what if it wasn't? What if there was some way to escape and I just didn't see it and now we're going to be stuck with the Mudwings forever? Croc sighed, as best he could with his muzzle bound, and turned to the other dragonets, hoping that no one else would have to get hurt.

Set flicked her tail and squeezed drops of poison onto the spots where the armor was connected. After enough poison was amassed, she slid the armor back on and tried moving around. Soundless, she grinned, her new invention working perfectly. I've read the majority of the scrolls in here, but I suppose some new knowledge couldn't hurt. I can't wait for tomorrow. It's been a while since I've let anyone see what I can really do.
-
Set finished reading the only two scrolls that she hadn't read before and curled up. She yawned softly, looking around one last time, making sure that Desert was no where near her. Maybe tomorrow she'll actually let me go outside and do something. Then, she finally shut her eyes and fell asleep. I hate everyone.
-
Set sighed and turned over in her sleep. She was having bad dreams about her friends, the other dragonets, leaving her, not wanting to be her friends anymore. She growled in her sleep, her eyes opening in fear. Looking around in confusion, Set peered around the cave room. There's no one else here, she panted, fear still dilating her pupils to just slits. I hate it here.
-
Set tried to go back to sleep, but her fear of what she might find her in dreams, kept her awake for far too long. Eventually, after making the realization that she wasn't going to be able to sleep at all, Set got up again and started to pace the halls. The only good thing that's happened so far is that the armor is still working, Set grimaced to herself. Thinking of the armor, she craned her neck around and saw that the poison was mostly dripping off. Can't have that, can we? she silently and rhetorically asked. She squeezed some more poison onto the parts where the armor stuck together, than just flung poison over the entire thing. Might as well.
-
Pacing back and forth between the halls, Set suddenly had a realization. So far it seems like Desert is a pretty clever dragon. That means that she would never station us in a place that has only one exit. That means that there must be someplace to escape from here. Set started looking around, pawing at some walls that looked a bit too sandy, but nothing was really working. This place is huge, Set sighed, as she turned into a different but mostly empty room. I'm never going to find anything. She sat down with another sigh and leaned against a large rock.
Suddenly the rock gave way underneath her and Set fell. It was only a small fall, but it felt like minutes. From where she had landed, Set could still see the light of the cave, but slowly the boulder closed behind her. Slightly terrified, but excited at the same time, Set started walking down the long dark tunnel. Nothing this exciting happened back with the Talons of Peace. After about an hour, Set could see daylight streaming into the tunnel. I made it! she thought joyfully, as she crept out, constantly on the watch for any other dragons. I'm finally free! -
Set grinned and made sure that the exit that Desert was watching was no where near. She recovered the new exit she had found, making sure that the other large rock that covered this exit was ingrained in her memory. She flew into the air with one large flap of her wings and eyed her surroundings. On the horizon she spied a group of three Sandwings flying around. Probably a patrol. This'll be fun. Hopefully I'm not too out of practice. She grinned toothily and shoot a burst of flame straight up into the air, trying to get their attention. It worked and she could see them turning around and speeding towards her. Yup. Lots of fun.
-
Set narrowed her eyes as the first dragon flew right up to her. The other two were lagging behind, probably having some sort of conversation, Set reasoned.
"What are you doing on the edge of Sandwing territory?" The leader asked, his voice deep and challenging. It seems almost like he wants a fight, Set grinned to herself as she flapped again, lifting herself higher, just barely above the older adult dragon. "This is your territory?" she asked in a challenging voice. "Really?"
The two dragons stopped just a couple wing lengths away. I guess they think that their leader can handle the poor small dragonet, she chuckled to herself once again.
"I'm going to have to force you to leave," the older dragon roared, his eyes gleaming as he peered at the smaller dragonet. Looks like it's both of us that want a fight.
"I'm afraid that I can't do that, sir," Set trilled, readying herself for a fight.
"Well then I suppose that I can say that I was forced to do this," he snarled as he leaped at the other Sandwing, his claws outstretched and ready to pierce through scales, only to find that the smaller dragon wasn't there. Twirling around he saw her silently flying behind him, a malicious glow in her eyes. "I guess I'l have to finish this fast, since your friends are going to be coming soon."
"What are you talking about?" he hoarsely whispered, his voice starting to tremble.
"This," Set muttered back, right before she ripped her claws into his wings and stabbed her tail into the back of his skull. He dropped to the ground, and Set whirled around to face her new challengers. -
Set rolled her eyes just as Desert's talons struck her. She winced, not expecting such a blow from the dragon that was supposed to be 'protecting her.' Desert had managed to claw one of Set's eyes, and things were starting to look blurry. She looked down at the three Sandwings, only one of which was still alive. With blood dripping off her face and a half of her vision going black, she decided to head back to the underground tunnels. The last dragon, the one who had first challenged her was almost dead, the poison slowly working it's way to the rest of his body.
Set flew back into the tunnels through the front exit, the one that Desert had used and hurriedly shut the door behind her. The pain on her face becoming almost unbarable, she tried to go back to sleep, hoping that by the time she awoke, the pain would be reversed. Once she fell into a deeper slumber, Set had the nightmare again, of her friends turning her away, telling her that she wasn't needed or wanted. Only this time Desert was with them. -
Set grew restless and woke up once again. Thankfully, she could feel the blood on her face starting to dry, but it was caked over her eye which was still throbbing. Set walked over to a small pool of water and peered at herself. The dragonet, who had once prided herself on her appearance, now looked like a beast, some kind of monster out of a young dragon's nightmare. She dunked her head into the pool for a couple of seconds, trying to wash off the blood, but she only suceeded in rubbing a tiny part off, and tinting the pool red. Fantastic, Set growled to herself.
-
Set stood back up, her tail lashing back and forth across the sandy floor. Bored, but unwilling to go back outside, she decided to wander through the tunnels, hoping that there was something more interesting for her to do. I'll have to go outside at some point to find food to eat, but for now I'll just stay here, she reasoned. Her wanderings finally brought her back to the training room where she saw Desert's discarded armor. Yes! That's it! Something to cover my face! She ran back into the room where Desert had taken the armor from and, after a couple minutes of frantic searching, found a helmet-like thing, that covered her entire face, with two slits for the eyes. Once I regain vision in my other eye, this'll work perfectly.
-
Set sighed and decided that she would take a nap, as there wasn't really anything for her to do. She wandered back to the dark cave where she had found the secret exit, and closed her eyes, letting her mind wander away.
-
Set woke up from her small power nap, feeling much better. Hungry, but better. She was just leaving the tunnel and pushing the door back into it's hiding place when she caught a new fresh scent. Desert. Set ducked down and narrowed her eyes, her pupils dilating slightly. Where is that two-faced weasel? She's supposed to protect me so she goes and scars my face and refuses to let me out or do anything. And now she's back for more. Fantastic. Well, if I see her, I'll be ready this time.
Set made sure to coat her armor, including her new helmet, in another layer of her poison, before taking to the air in search of some prey to eat. -
OOC: OMG Senpai noticed me! ;)
IC: Set continued to fly around the boundaries of the Sandwing territory, hoping to find prey of some sort. Seeing nothing, she decided to fly into Sandwing territory. She saw a small fox, hurrying back to it's den, and Set snatched it up in her talons and killed it in one stroke. She swallowed the small mammal headfirst, when she noticed a hill-like thing in the distance. Her readings coming back to her in a flash, Set guessed that this must be the infamous Scorpion's Den.
-
Set cautiously entered the Scorpion's den and started to wander around, looking at all the different dragons. Some of them were young, old, or even disfigured, but a majority of them looked like plain Sandwings.
I'm glad for my armor. It covers my face and makes me look even more terrifying so that no one wants to approach me. I'll have to figure out sometime soon, whether I want to look scary or weak. If I choose weak I might even have to forgo the helmet. Oh well. I'll make all of these decisions later.
Set was so busy thinking, that she forgot to watch where she was going. Accidentally, she bumped into another dragon, a dull grey Sandwing who looked to be about her age.
"Oops!" The other exclaimed, looking up at Set with an expression that could only be described as pure fear. Set guessed that he was about to run away, when she whirled around him.
"It's okay, I'm not trying to hurt you." She considered taking of her helmet, but decided against it.
"What's your name?" She asked, genuinely curious.
"Dusk," he quietly responded.
"Ahhh. . . That's a very nice name, Dusk," Set complimented, thinking of her other 'siblings.' I never realized how much I missed them.
Dusk still looking terrified out of his mind, continued to shake, until he asked, "Can I go now? Please?"
"Of course." -
Twitch eyed the two companions from behind a trash can, her golden eyes reflecting the dim light that managed to filter through the smoggy air. Two oddities, a lost kittypet and a werewolf, both surely doomed to die. I wonder what they're doing together, she mused to herself, considering making her presence known, but quickly discarding the idea. She watched the kittypet's feeble attempts at trying to hunt and barely managed to stifle her laughter. There is no way he's going to survive here.
