[move]warning: newbie but not really a newbie here[/move]

hello. my name is not really smile, but i will pretend it is. my name is smile, and i am new here at wcrpg. well not really new, but new on this account. in my previous attempts to create a successful account on this wonderful website, i always started out with a thread like this, were i would say whatever username i've chosen, and explain how i'm not really new to wcrpg. same boring old story. now i will boringly ask for friends, and do what every other single new person does on this website which is to ask a question. one of the things i dislike about being new but not being new, is that people think you are some kind of inexperienced weirdo who has absolutely no idea what they are doing. that strange and unfamiliar person is not me although i am slightly strange. so here is my question: are there any semi-advanced thread i could possibly join? if not, who doesn't need an awesome pal, because i would really like one?
that you for reading my extra-ordinary introduction thread and hopefully replying.

    Name:
    Juliet Katrina Rowan

    Age:
    Seventeen

    Personality:
Juliet is a sweet and social girl, who is nearly always optimistic. She's also got a more mature side, and can be quite sophisticated when she wants to be. She also is very good at talking with adults, although she hardly finds herself in trouble, and is a bit of what you might call a southern belle.

She takes her goals seriously, and is an incredibly determined person, who can focus on one task, and one task alone. Although she may not seem like the brightest when you first meet, her, Juliet is actually much more clever than the stereotypical girl, and is a much more logical thinker. She hates the stereotype of pretty girls, and does her best to prove everyone wrong, as she is also an incredibly stubborn girl, and doesn't budge on many things. Despite this, she would always put another before her own needs.

    History:
Juliet never came first in her family. She was the third in a family of six, and her father was constantly working. No one in her family was aware that they were anything but normal, although her mother actually had a slight power that she never in knew of.
When Juliet turned six the stress of raising a family alone became to much for her mother, so she left the family when their dad was one a two day work trip. This caused the need for most of her older siblings to get jobs, leaving her and her older brother in charge of the younger kids and house.
Things became so stressful at the house that her father determined that he didn't have enough money or time of the children he loved, so he adopted Juliet and her younger sister out to create more space in the household. The two went to separate homes, and Juliet ran away at the age of eight from her adopted family who cared nearly nothing of her.
She was then located and placed with another family, who she loved and stayed with for three years. Until one night when the family was sitting around at supper, did Juliet accidentally levitate everyone's food on complete accident. Her eyes shifted from their hazel green to a brilliant blue and everything hovered above the table for five seconds before she released in with a clunk. The family was mortified, and sent her away themselves. She then ran away and lived on her own for several years, before discoverin the school where she could be with people like her.

    district 4 | seventeen

I was made for this. That's what I tell myself as I sprint towards the cornucopia, and grab two backpacks and three knives lying on the ground. Looking around quickly for anything I might need, as I look around my heart starts pumping faster and I take a rushed deep breath to slow it. I could be a career if I wanted, my district is traditionally part of the career pack, plus I saw the others looking at me in training, but I refuse to be one. I can survive on my own.

After grabbing a water bottle I sprint towards the forest, using my long legs to my advantage as I was taught. I don't look back.

    Both finished.

I sat in my dorm, the edge of my bed sinking below as I stared at my hands. I had already open and closed my palms to many times to count, but it calmed in a way I could not describe. It had all happened in a whirlwind, but I can remember it, the memory clear as the southern sky. May had been talking about her school play, she had the featured role in Sleeping Beauty. Then something had passed over me, like dipping your hands half in water, a numbing sensation that oddly pulsed through my hands as I stood, my eyes glowing with my arms out. Their screams had been what brought me back, and I can remember them, piercing my floating consciousness. I squeezed my eyes closed, and my palms into fists, the memory stung, their yells and creams shunning me from their love. I sometimes wonder if I would still have my power if I got the option to give it. They say it is something rare, but I think of it somewhat as a curse.

I am snapped out of my wallowing by the sound of Winter's voice, and water springer from her fingertips. I am immediately drenched, which activates my power. I stand up and my eyes glow as my power extracts the water from me and my clothes. It levitates, but I know I won't be able to hold it on for long. I direct the water to the sink. The water makes it there my some miracle and whooshes down the drain. "Hey Winter you're okay," I say as calmly as possible, walking over to the younger girl. She's only younger than me by two years, but it hardly makes a difference either way. "You'll learn to control you're power. That's why were here, to learn about our powers" I try to say this with a soothing voice, but it sounds cliche even to my ears.

I suck at giving at advice. This is my first reaction to her reaction to my cliché advice, and it's probably the reaction I would have. "Look, I'm honestly not the best person for advice. But I get what you're going through, I got kicked out of my old house because I couldn't control my power. It's hard, I'm not going to lie and say that it's easy, but you'll get it, you're a smart girl," this time I put more strength behind my voice, and let some of my determination and past leak through to her. I put my hand on her shoulder willing her to get what I am desperately trying to convene to her. What is it with my cliché-ness today?

I watched Winter leave our dorm, worry printed clearly on my face. I glanced over at my alarm clock, and figure I would have time to do something. I sit back on my bed and ponder the everyday question of how to spend my free time. I'm not feeling especially hungry, so I opt out of breakfast. After pacing my room for about a minute or two I decided to take a short walk outside. Couldn't hurt, could it?

    please no posting... thanks!

how about instead of one teacher specifically for water, you have a teacher for manipulation of all the elements (including ice, fire, and such)?

oh then how about of i take the telepathy/telekinesis teacher and honors english? i can also take the shape-shifting teacher as well, and they will teach history as well.

the soft pitter patter of bare feet was all you could hear as aidia ran to greet her older sister. the eight year old's hair was loose and flew behind her as she half-ran to her older sister, a smile on her face, her arms extended. she had been sick that day, with a high fever, and her mother had forced her to skip school, which she of course, had disliked. now though, she ran and attempted to hug her sister's legs with her missing tooth smile.
