legend walked with sky to the camp. he could see the distrust in their eyes as the two stallions escorted them to the camp. "do you know that theres a new wolf pack being established here?" he asked, speaking directly to the lead stallion...pride.

Rift eyed the mare sky. she had a pretty build and her eyes were gentle and warm, her forelock framing her face in whisps....that'd at least be how he'd describe her. other horses might think different. The stallion however, looked battered and had a gleam in his eye that couldnt be explained.

flare chased after the two foals, she really couldnt help herself. a race was a race and flare loved going fast. Flare had liked the strange stallion, and could tell a few other mares did too. but she would never admit it.

Echo trotted back happily, wondering what the new horses would be like. she liked the mare and thought she might even be able to befriend her. the stallion seemed like a good horse at heart but he was much harder to read than others. she wondered vauguely what had they done to be driven from their previous herd?

Blossom walked sniffing the fresh air and enjoyed the warm breeze that drifted through her mane. her ears however, twitched. straining to hear what the four horses behind her were talking about.

"sure, ill come" stormy said, and she spun on her heel going to the paddock to get Chance. She brushed her calm, easy going mare and slipped an english bridle she'd fabricated to have two separate reins like that of a western bridle. Though some of the kids in her pony club thought that it was "weird" or "in proper english" stormy did'nt care. in fact, she was quite proud of her work. she mounted on with out a saddle, she had done this for a long time; though she did'nt dare ride saddleless on Chrome or Silouette. they were too highstrung and had the potential of being "unpredictable" as her mother would say. Stormy then walked over to where she would meet the two other riders.
OOC: so i totally got two of my roleplays mixed up and called my character(stormy) kat by accident. sorry! :-\
oh! and i like that name, nightingale.

kat watched izzy and her mare, they reminded her of herself. she walked forward, "hey, have you ever tried running and mounting on your mares back? you guys would probably be really good at it." she said, she might as well make friends and there was no denying the bond between the girl and her horse. kat noticed the new riders and took vaugue curiosity in them.

stormy looked over and steered her mare over to the newcomers. sliding off her warm back she walked over, Chance following obidiently with out needing to be told to. she wondered how wild she must look, how she didnt pay much attention to how her hair looked and rode bareback with a strange bridle. not to mention the fact that she typically stuck to herself. well, she told herself. i may as well step out of my little box, and addressed the two rider's. "hi. im stormy" she said, not entirely confident.

    OOC: ;)
IC: legend stared, wondering how the herd had established this place. it was a nice place, providing shelter and food/water. he watched sky's reaction and noticed with surprise that her belly had become awfully round. it's not like we've been eating a lot. have we? he wondered. then a thought struck him and he nearly gasped. it couldnt be....it couldnt. he thought.

Frost saw rift enter with the newest additions to the herd. she ran over to him immediatly and buried her nose in his mane. she loved him dearly so she couldnt help but wonder. why was he staring at the new mare?

rift was partially aware to frost's fretting but his eyes were on sky. he must talk to pride about her. and if she was taken...

Flare played a little then went to drink from a stream. she then trotted to wisty, her half sister. "is'nt he cute?" she asked, she could talk about anything with her sister and trust she wouldnt tell. "wisteria finished a mouthful of wildflowers then turned her gaze on her. "you mean the new stallion. yeah, i guess he is. but he has a certain air to him, the commanding type. he answer's to no one" she recited. flare frowned, wisteria was always the perceptive one and seemed a bit more wordy than any one else. but this was much different. what did she mean? flare thought hard about it.

echo walked quietly to a place shaded by wind and layed down. all the while watching...

stormy noticed two others pull up and turned her head to glance at them. where wer dean and cassidy? she wondered. she murmered a small goodbye and vaulted onto her mare, spurring her into a trot. coming to stand by a large arena, she really couldnt help herself. unlatching the gate, she closed it behind her and began to warm up. finally, she started an easy collected canter and felt like she could fly. Chance could'nt stay in a canter and began working into a (slower by stormy's standard's) gallop. they stopped and walked a little, taking a breather. they resumed a lope out of a halt and stormy practiced the touch on the neck stop, and dismounting at a fast pace. she even worked on a few basic dressage moves, to her great frustration. afterwards they got water and stormy checked that Chance was still fresh for a trail ride. eventually she concluded that she'd be fine as long as they did'nt do anything stupid. she waited...

legend swept sky off to a corner of the camp, taking care no horses followed them. he stared at her in the eye"sky. do you know and are just keeping things from me or-or..."he trailed off. what could this mean? he didnt love sky. or did he?

blossom went to bed sleeping soundly, wisteria curled up next to her.

rift was led off to bed by frost. secretly, he wanted to talk to pride but he hadnt a chance.

stormy watched the twins, noting their horses personalitites and temperment. she turned back to her bay mare to stroke her face. reaching in her back pocket, she found a carrot and gave it to her generous horse. she chuckled, half to herself and turned her gaze to the stables.

legend gazed at her. her face shocked and slightly hurt. of course he remembered but he never relized..."i do" he murmered. "but i didnt relize....im not completey familiar in how things. work." he finished. he didnt want to seem rude. he dropped his head. "im sorry, and i wouldnt change a thing." he said, stretching his muzzle to nibble her swollen belly.

legend watched her, sorrow and unseen tears choked his throat, he wanted to wail aloud. "thats not what i meant.." he whispered. he didnt want to hurt her, not the way his father did his mother. he laid down and squeezed his eyes tight while (hopefully) silent sobs racked his body.

Legends mind was whirling with thoughts. i do love her. Why am I so stupid? he'd never seen a mare in early heat before and didn't know what she would look like. He barely registered when soft hoof prints sounded behind him.

legend looked up, she stood there. He got up, hastily trying to hide his tears. "I-I. no, it's my fault. I knew it was going to happen, but it's so soon. I did'nt relize that It happened so fast. im sorry." he stammered.

Kat nodded. just like me and Flint she thought. kat turned and whistled for Flint, he was ready. he cantered over and walked out on command. hooking his lead rope, she went over to some of the new riders. "well buddy, i may as well find your stall." she murmered to flint, who nickered softly.

Legend curled up and sighed, he was glad they weren't fighting any more.

Echos ears flicked, she had heard their whole conversation. She closed her eyes and wondered what was going to happen. She could tell that something was going to happen, her body was thrumming with life. As if she were running through the woods. But she wasn't, she was here curled up trying to sleep. It was like a shadow, following her constantly. Hunting her. She reared at it, in her mind. But it wouldn't go away. It watched her, calculating and vicious. She told herself she was acting silly and gave up. But somewhere In her heart, she didn't believe it. She just hoped no harm came to any horse...

Kat walked flint into the stables and chose one somewhat in the middle #15. Here you go boy, she said as he walked in, sniffing every corner of his new stall. Once he deemed it satisfactory he bobbed his head and let out a loud whinny. "Ok then. You make yourself right at home. And I'll get your stuff." She said chuckling. Walking back to her scout she noticed two new people. She cautiously avoided them, wanting to be alone with horses. Hauling her bag and some of flint's stuff, she walked back. There were several trips like this. Once she as done she slipped flints halter off and replaced it with a thin leather cord around his neck. Opening his stall, she walked out. Flint following obediently. "Might as well get some exercise huh boy" she said, and went to find a jumping arena.

"I'm stormy" I said, head low. I wasn't much of a talker anyways. "And this is chance but Chrome and Silhouette are in the stables." I said. I stretched my hand out to arsenal, Luke's horse while the others talked. She snuffled it eagerly, her whiskers tickling my hand. Chance came, stretching her muzzle out to Arwen, it took 5 seconds until they were sniffing each other and bobbing their heads, all I could do was grin. I turned to Jess " I'd love to come, and I love your horse" I said. Stretching my hand out to Aladdin. He had a gleam in his eye that couldn't be explained. "Is he fast?" I asked, I loved fast horses, they always had the perfect temperament. or at least, that's my opinion.
