[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]"Flowers are plants, like a lot of the green things you see around here, even those big tall brown things called trees. They can't move because they are rooted into the ground by, well, roots, which suck up all the nutrients they need to keep them alive," the young wolf explained as she padded over to the others, eying everyone carefully. She'd never met most of these guys before, so she supposed greeting the new faces would help her cause. Her gaze flickered to Twistkit and she smiled. "My name is Katherine, but feel free to call me Kat."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Katherine padded up, almost timidly, towards the others, a bit self-conscious of asking if she could join in on the patrol. "M-Mind if I come along, miss? I've never been on a patrol before," she told Decembersnows and offered a sheepish smile.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify][font=arial]I actually had that one on a list. DarkClan seems pretty interesting.
And I'd love to roleplay with you. I have only one character as well. Perhaps they could meet? That'd be funny to see, since one is anti and one is pro, though. xD -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify][font=arial]Sorry for the late reply, I went camping, but making a thread would be nice since I have to go unpack.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]"Glad to hear that I'm not the only one not Clan-born," the pup said, heaving a small sigh of relief. Katherine felt lost in a world of those who were used to such a life whereas she was just adapting to it.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]ooc. I love Pitch Perfect!
About being ran into wasn't going to be fun, especially if by a creature as big (or in this case bigger than, considering that Kat was small) as you were. Yelping with alarm, and to alert the other canine that she was there, Katherine jumped up, kicking up a storm of dust as she stepped out of the way. The squirrels that had been in her mouth now laid limp in the grass around the two canines. The black wolf smiled sheepishly at Sam but couldn't help but feel a bit cross that he'd made her drop her prey.
She nimbly picked it up again and sat it at her paws. "Uh...sorry," she mumbled, gazing at the squirrels in a shy way so that she didn't have to look up at the other canine, and also so that she did not give away the fact that she was slightly angry that the careless RiverClanner had almost made her fall. "I've never seen another canine in RiverClan before," she commented after a moment.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Glad to hear she'd been accepted for patroling, Katherine lost a bit of her shy demeanor and walked with a new spring to her step, eager to see some parts of the territory she had not yet, and maybe get a look into some other Clan's territory as well.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Katherine felt lost. At first she had been eager to start a new life in RiverClan, wondering what life had to offer other than just a free ticket around with your family all your life. That's why she had left her pack. Katherine, even though she was no go-getter, did like the idea of an adventure, and RiverClan had seemed like one. Now, she just felt out of place. Not only was she a canine but she knew nothing of the Clan ways. Her name stuck out just like being a wolf did. She knew nothing about being a Clan-dweller. Everything was so confusing.
It was times like these when she felt these feelings that she escaped into the woods, hoping to get a glimpse at the life she had left. Of course, she never really did see her family again, figuring they'd moved to the summer den, but there was always that sliver of hope. Not to say Katherine would go back to that life. She missed it, but RiverClan proved obstacles, overcoming the feeling of loss and confusion to make something out of it. Katherine had decided to push on, but sometimes that meant some time alone.
She had been wondering when she came upon Leopardkit. To be honest, the younger Clanmate was the only one Katherine had gotten to know, and that was really saying something because she hardly knew anything about the kitten. They'd been partners in the herb training, but that was just about it. Their knowing each other did not expand beyond that. Though, there was always the chance to build upon their small history together, and so, the wolf found herself approaching Leopardkit.
As she pulled to a halt beside the beech tree, Katherine smiled. "Hey Leopardkit," she woofed. "What'cha up to?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]As Flashpaw answered Twistkit's question, Katherine nodded to confirm and gave a smile to the curious kitten. "It's nice to meet you, Twistkit," she woofed, wagging her tail ever so slightly.

She didn't know what herbs to use, but the kitten knew the symptoms well enough to put two and two together. "Marigold, yes, and burdock root, too. Not only does it treat the infection, but it also lessons and heals the pain," the chocolate calico explained. "And rest-don't forget about rest. Anything else?"[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Katherine pursed her lips slightly, thinking hard. They hadn't covered anything for pain, which would also come with bites. Rats had sharp teeth, just like any critter who could take a chunk out of your flesh and leave you bleeding all over the place. "Something for pain, like poppy seeds, I believe they are called," she said, trying to think if they had covered everything.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Who's Belle? Katherine wondered, but shook it off. Obviously, she knew enough. Belle was a Clanmate of hers that was a canine, too.
The wolf smiled again at Samuel, a sheepish grin like before. She wasn't exactly the kind of character who enjoyed company. She was kind of a loner, hung around herself more than others, so she really had no idea how to treat Samuel. "Th-That's okay. I didn't really know you were there either, o-or I would have, um, moved sooner." The small smile came again, unsure and wary. "I'm Katherine, but everyone calls me Kat," she woofed.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Sure.
Can you make? -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]"I guess that's reassuring," Katherine replied and chuckled nervously. "It's nice to meet you Sam. Glad to see I'm not the only canine around here, either." The wolf watched in silence as Samuel picked up one of her squirrels and threw it across his back.
A smile of gratefulness crept along her maw. "Thank you," she said and picked up the other one in a similar fashion. With that, she began to walk.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify][font=arial]Once Upon A Time-based characters? I wanted to make a character based off Regina Mills/The Evil Queen, but that's no fun unless you have other OUAT characters as well.
Would anyone be interested in this?

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify][font=arial]Thirding (or whatever that would be called) the Bamboo tablets! I've used them in the past and they're great...and cheap!
holy smokes another regina! hello c: -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify][font=arial]Okay, we got one taker xD
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px][justify][font=arial]Katherine paused, but for only a moment, before picking up speed again. She glanced over at Samuel and shrugged her shoulders. "There's not much to tell, really. I'm still trying to discover stuff about myself. I come from a small pack of wolves that live just off of the territory, but I wanted to join a Clan, and so here I am."
She thought a moment, long and hard, brow crinkling up slightly. "I'm kind of antisocial, if you hadn't gotten that one already. Shy and all that stuff. Not very excitable, but I do like helping out a lot. And I like squirrels. Heh. What about you?"
