Hello!
I've just joined this site out of a newfound interest in roleplaying Warriors. I actually have been previously roleplaying Warriors for many years, and would consider myself semi-literate to literate, depending on your definition of those terms. c:
If any of you would like to roleplay, I would definitely be up for it!

Eveningsky glanced up from his position in the center of the camp, where he had been quietly working away at a vole, when he heard the roar. It wasn't even the kind of roar that caused the hair on the end of his pelt to rise; it was quite obvious that the roar was still a cat roar. And that fact alone made it all the more irritating. Who even tried to imitate lions anymore? Everyone knew that lions and cats were two completely distinct species; yet, some idiot was obviously trying to boost his own ego and go through self-promotion.
The dark brown tabby drew himself up to his paws and headed towards the camp entrance, hoping to catch a glimpse of the cat who had done it. It was a young cat, for sure. No decent warrior would subject themselves to such humiliation.

It had been a rather long and tedious day. After all, with the size of ThunderClan being so enormous, they no longer even had the need for every cat to go out on patrol anymore. For that reason, it had been awhile since Eveningsky had last attended a border patrol. However, he wasn't about to boast that fact to the rest of the world.
Instead, he padded over towards the nearest cat, Hushedkit. If he wasn't going to patrol, he could at least make himself useful in entertaining the she-kit. "Hey there," he meowed, dipping his head in greetings. "Found yourself a play thing, yes?"
-
"So it sounds like there are some introductions, eh?" A dark brown tabby joined the circle of cats, after giving a quick nod of greetings. "I hope you don't mind, but may I join as well? I'm Eveningsky, by the way. I was born into the Clan life."
After a quick glance around, he realized that he did know some of the cats. Many of them he had seen join the Clan midway through their lives. It was a common occurrence to watch others join ThunderClan now. But that open policy wasn't always something he entirely agreed with, as the sheer size of ThunderClan now attested to camp crowding.

[ I don't know if I want a mate for Eveningsky quite yet, but they can definitely get to know each other right now. Who knows what may happen later? ]
At the same time Shimmerstep exited the camp into the forest, Eveningsky was heading back towards the camp with a vole in his jaws. He wasn't hesitant to voice his own opinions on his preference for sleeping alone in the forest, away from the noise of the camp. It bothered him at times, prevented him from sleeping. As he noticed Shimmerstep, he stopped and dipped his head at her in greetings. "Hello," he meowed. "You going out for a walk?"

Haha, yes, I've noticed that this site is indeed very unique. But I've been stalking it for awhile and looking at some threads and the community, and everyone seems to be pretty nice. c:

"Well, I would argue that the Clans have their own interests," Eveningsky added quietly. "They are not similar enough to truly bond together to stop the anti-Clans. We fight amongst each other anyways, even in ThunderClan alone, so how can we expect ourselves to fight alongside others as a whole?" And that was one huge grievance Eveningsky had with the Clans. They were much too large to really function as cohesively as it could be if the Clan were smaller.
-
"Wildlife, Ursacub," Eveningsky meowed, nodding at the two of them in greetings. "Hello." Those two were cats he happened to see quite a bit, and therefore had spoken with them in group settings. They weren't entirely strangers, which classified his relationship with most of ThunderClan. He turned towards Poppypaw, eyes appraising the young she-cat. "What's your name? I'm Eveningsky, by the way."
-
Eveningsky lashed his tail. "ScarClan has indeed been getting on the nerves of ThunderClan," he growled. "But how are we to believe you? You are simply a kit. You have no credibility whatsoever. You can say anything you'd like. How do we know you aren't simply making up a story to gain attention? Anyone could make up a reason for the disappearance."
-
Eveningsky nodded courteously. "Of course," he meowed, slightly pleased that he had been able to find company. "Shall we head off to the small stream? I hear that it makes for a nice spot to relax a bit, though to be honest, I haven't been there in awhile." For some reason, he was uncharacteristically shy around the two. Perhaps it was simply because he hadn't gotten much practice with speaking to the female kind one on one.
-
The dark brown tabby nodded, tail waving excitedly. "Nice to meet you two, then," he responded, grinning. "So are you guys up to anything? Want to go for a walk or a hunt? We could get to know each other better through such an expedition of sorts."
-
Eveningsky began to trot towards the stream, turning his head back once to make sure that Shimmerstep was following. He slowed down to allow her to catch up, then continued forward. "It's strange that I've never seen you around before," he commented. Well actually, not strange. This was simply a topic that Eveningsky had been sensitive over for awhile. He had always thought that the enormous Clan size was not necessary and had resulted simply because the Clan had relaxed its policies regarding allowing foreigners to join. He often slept in the forest now to avoid the bustle of the camp and the distractions it presented to sleep.
-
Eveningsky dipped his head. "I suppose you have a point," he conceded towards Sunny and Hushedkit. "All I am saying, though, is that there is a certain degree of caution we must have. I do not believe I am incorrect in saying that some sources are more reliable in others," he turned his focus towards Sunny, "even though I will not say I don't believe you."
-
Eveningsky chuckled at the new name Hushedkit had created for the creature. "Asmodeus," he repeated. The name sounded strange and foreign on his tongue. "Well, that's quite interesting. Where did you ever come up with such a name? It's nothing like what we have in the Clans. I know I'd probably have simply named it 'bunny' if I were you."
-
"I would also argue that the sheer size of ThunderClan makes it so hard to manage," Eveningsky added. "Because of it, there is always dissent about every decision. We also are not as close to every Clan member as some of the smaller Clans may be with one another." The brown tabby could at least speak for himself on that one. While he had seem most of the Clan faces, in a battle, he would have to admit that he would occassionally have trouble distinguishing his Clanmates' face from that of his opponents, thus forcing him to constantly rely on a sense of smell. And it was getting annoying too. He would have much preferred to have been born into a smaller Clan.
-
"He told you?" Eveningsky repeated, chuckling. It was quite apparent that he didn't believe so. "Well either way, nice that you find him a name. And I wouldn't really know what he'd want me to be called. Not as been an imagination, I suppose." He wasn't afraid to speak straightforwardly, saying the things he thought. While he did indeed express clear doubt, it wasn't in exactly a condescending manner.
-
Eveningsky padded into the nursery, nodding to the queen. "Congratulations." It had been awhile since he'd visited the nursery, but as he had been walking past, he had noticed that there seemed to be a minor sort of commotion around the area.
While he was happy the queen had birthed successfully and had kits, there was also the part of him that groaned inwardly. More cats for ThunderClan? This was going to suck.
-
Eveningsky had been laying outside, underneath the shelter of a shaded oak. He preferred that spot rather than the actual warrior's den, as it allowed for more quiet and space. The brown tabby stirred as he heard the pawsteps of another cat. Raising his head, he saw the form of what must be a kit. "What are you doing out here, little one?" he meowed. "Shouldn't you be in the nursery sleeping? Or are you perhaps just as tired of that place as I am?"
-
Eveningsky shrugged. "That would definitely make sense then." While he sometimes desperately wanted to rant to another cat about his problems with ThunderClan, he still was not looking to start such an argument with a she-cat he hardly knew. That was simply awkward, and not a conversation he'd look to have with someone like her. Yet, at least. If they became friends, who knew? "Well, I trust you're doing fine? You do seem nice. And pretty."
-
"Americanflag? Don't believe I've seen him around, sorry," Eveningsky responded quietly. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure if he even knew who Americanflag was, but it wasn't like anyone else needed to know that. It wasn't a fact that he went around boasting about often.
