personally, when making a character for agrelos, i always start with the name!! i use that name to build everything else; appearance, personality, powers, etc! i suggest doing that, and once you have some basics figured out, tell a little bit about them and people could help you find a group that suits what you'd like and that would fit the character you made!!

anything goes!! there are really no limits, unless you decide to apply for one of the litters in the adoption board, in which case there may be naming themes there. making a character from scratch is really just limited by your own creativity and the information in the codex!

I think I disagree with the bit about the Exiles being too dark, as that's exactly what they're meant to be. The Exiles were originally meant as those who were too much for the rest of Agrelos, too dark and mean and aggressive. They're meant to be much more extreme than the other groups, and I feel like that's what they should be, as well. Perhaps some larger-scale plots in the group would make it a bit more appealing to me, but I think the darkness of it is what actually makes it what it is, so removing that would change them fundamentally from what they always have been.

seconding hyperian isles!! it's currently one of the slower groups, as already stated, but there's a plot going on that will hopefully bring up activity and allow more interaction between them and some other groups!! it's been my main group with my characters for three, going on four years now, and it's definitely one of my favorites!! otherwise, i'd agree that solaris kingdom is very welcoming, as is shadow veil and the blackheart rogues!! i'd say activity is the main factor in which one you might want to pick out of the four!!
as for names, seconding phobos, and also suggesting kratos!! kratos means power in greek, and seeing as you mentioned wanting a name that means power, i thought it might be fitting.

generally i view it as 1-6 is child, 7-9 is young teen, 10-12 is older teen, 12-18 is young adult, then 19+ is adult; of course, as keda said, a lot of it depends on the mindset/maturity of the specific character, too
