"Oh it's on now, sapphirepaw." Chillpaw mewed playfully. He sprinted out of camp after her, paws flying across the ground. He loved the feeling of the wind whistling in his ears.

"Maybe in deeper parts of the woods with more undergrowth?" Dewpaw said. Noticing hollypaws nervous look and speaking quiet enough so that lionflash couldn't hear, he said, " I understand your shyness, I'm never this outgoing. I-I've been too nervous to talk to you for a while now. I'm sorry if I make you uncomfortable, but I don't know I just-" he sighed,"I just don't want to be like this forever. I-I uh kinda like you." He twitched his tail in embarrassment, " sorry I shouldn't have said that." He looked down at his paws. "Lionflash where should we hunt," he said, raising his voice to more than a whisper.

dewpaw purred and smiled at hollypaw, then turned to his mentor, "where is this secret hunting spot?"

Robinpaw glanced around the camp, searching for her mentor. With no luck, she resumed sitting next to her sister,violetpaw, and wondered where there brother had run off to.

Dewpaw sprinted after hollypaw. "Those fox-hearted pitch clan cats," he muttered. Upon arrival at camp he ran alongside her to jaystar, "Jaystar, we have intruders! Pitchclan is here and lionflash told us to come to you," he growled.

Robinpaw looked at hawkpaw, "no, we haven't. We were going to get our mentors to take us hunting though." She sighed, looking for her mentor.

Dewpaw smiled and brushed his tail against hollypaws before running after the patrol going to confront the pitch clan cats.

Robinkit slept with ease knowing her mother would protect her.

Chillpaw left the camp, running through the camp entrance to hunt.

Fawnwhisker approached eclipsepaw and asked "Is there anything I can do to help, like fetch herbs or something?"

Fawnwhiskers tail flicked back and forth curiously, having seen the drama unfold she wondered who'd be picked to mentor the soon-to-be apprentice.

"Alright," fawnwhisker said to the medicine cat apprentice. She left the camp to search for cobwebs.

Chillpaw ran through the woods, picking up all sorts of smells as he went. He stopped suddenly, paws skidding across the ground, and turned at the smell of a rabbit. He heard it rustling about, and upon the sight of its beady black eye, pounced. He killed it with a single bit and his tail flicked with joy. This'll help the clan he thought fondly, before picking up the scent of a clanmates nearby.

Dewpaw leapt onto a pitch clan apprentice, raking its back with his claws.

Fawnwhisker looked at him, scared, "I last saw him not too long ago sitting over there," she pointed with her tail at an area near the entrance to the camp. She was thankful for his help. "Do you think you could pick up his scent?" She asked with a hopeful glint in her eyes.

Dewpaw recoiled from the apprentice's attack and swept his paws under the pitch lab apprentices legs, knocking him over.

Fawnwhisker's eyes widened, "Thank you so much," she mewed in admiration.

Fawnwhisker flicked her tail, "I will, if you are alright with it, wavestar."

"Where is moonkit?" Robinkit squeaked to fawnwhisker.

Dewpaw saw tigerstripe with her eyes widened. He snuck up on the Tom attacking her and clamped his jaws around the warriors tail as hard as he could. When the Tom whipped around he had ran back to fight the pitch lab apprentices. He snarled and cuffed the apprentice around the ear, shredding it in the process.

When pitch clan fled, Dewpaw turned and padded back towards camp, licking his wounds.

Robinkit woke up, yawning. She prodded Dewpaw with her paw, "are haunt kit and cosmokit back? I wanted us to play with them," she mewed, sighing. Dewpaw grunted and pointed towards two sleeping figures with his tail.

Fawnwhisker trembled with fear for her it, cradling her remaining kits.
