He couldn't take his eyes off of hers. "I don't see how this pack thing could go wrong."

Silver could hear somebody running towards them, and he looked away.
-
He ran through the trees, with no where to go. He didn't really know what he was doing or why, he just knew he had to get away. From what, he wasn't sure.
He stopped when he saw the she-cat.
-
Smiling, he watched the two wolves frolic around clearing. Yea, they were definitely cute.
He couldn't help but glance at Russet.
-
Shadow watched Aurea from a distance. Personally, he thought she was beautiful, but maybe that was because he was different too? His pelt was white, with dark gray stripes, and his eyes were an icy blue.
He padded over to her, and lay down beside her. The cold water made his belly cringe, but he didn't mind.
"Hey, you alright?" He asked.
-
Aspen crept into the mansion, her orange eyes wide. She tucked a strand of hair (it was purple, but the rest of her hair was brown) behind her ear.
"Go on! You're not scared, are you?" She could practically hear Marco's grin. She whipped around, glaring at the red-headed teen, his expression matching his twin's perfectly.
"You never told me I had to go alone, did you? Hunter, get over here!" She summoned her friend, who swept his dark brown hair out of his icy blue eyes. Marco started to object, but then remembered that he never said anything about her going alone.
"Fine, fine. But the rest of us are waiting out here, okay? It's just half an hour, anyway." Marco answered, rolling his eyes.
Aspen smiled and walked in, Hunter following close behind.
((OOC: Is that alright?))
-
"It's kinda cute, don't ya think?"
-
"...Are you sure about that?" He asked, unsure whether to push her or not.
"Oh, I'm Shadow, by the way."
-
Aspen admired the inside of the mansion, which, despite the fact that nobody had been here in years, was in perfect condition. Hunter followed her, adjusting his hood and smiling at her awed sighs.
Aspen was admiring a painting on the wall when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. Startled, she turned to see two siblings (they looked like twins) creep out of the shadows. She pressed close to Hunter, and looked up at him. Her confused gaze met his baffled one, and it was then that the two conveniently remembered that nobody had lived here for years.
She turned her attention back to the twins, who were slowly stumbling closer. Something seemed off about them- their clothes were old, and they seemed to be built perfectly (almost like dolls).
When they stammered out a greeting, she could tell that they were scared out of their minds, and she decided to try to help them.
"Hi! I'm Aspen, and this dork over here is Hunter. Who are you two?" She smiled at them, and elbowed Hunter. He obediently smiled.
((OOC: Yay! You're welcome ^.^))
-
Aspen blinked. "You live here?" She asked, puzzled.
She knew the rumors of the crazy man who had once lived in this house, the one who spent his days playing with dolls. However, one day, the crazy man's body had been found in the woods. It was said that the mansion was haunted, and since she had lost a bet to Marco, he made her go in the house for half an hour.
However, nobody ever said anything about anyone living here.
Meanwhile, Hunter curiously watched the two teens. They definitely seemed to live in the past, but besides that, something was still kinda weird. They seemed too... perfect.
-
Coalstorm opened his amber eyes. Blinking, he stretched, his gray and black fur shining in the sunlight. He noticed Goldenblossom eating by herself, and padded over to her. "Hey," he greeted her.
-
Flicker padded through the abandon city. She couldn't smell any cats nearby, but maybe her nose was just being weird. Her blue eyes absorbed everything they saw, and her tortoiseshell-tabby coat shimmered in the midday sun. She kept her ears pricked for rustles in the weeds, but heard nothing.
Her belly growled, and she hoped that she would come across something to hunt or eat soon. As if answering her prayers, a blackbird appeared in front of her. She made quick work of it, and moments later she was eating her meal in the shadow of an abandon Publix.
-
"Oh? We didn't know anybody lived here!" Aspen exclaimed. No wonder they were scared! She and Hunter had just broken into their house, after all...
Meanwhile, Hunter's mind was running at a mile a minute. The old clothes... the old way of life... the missing father....
He grabbed Aspen's hand, and she looked at him confusedly.
"If I may ask," he began quietly, "how long has your father been gone?"
-
"Well, we're new at this too, right? At least, I am..." He trailed off, watching the two wolves playfully wrestle. He was new to the whole romance thing, but he wasn't new to loosing those he cared about. However, he had made it, and he knew that if he could survive the pain, anybody could.
"I guess all we can really do is watch? But honestly, I don't see how those two could go wrong," he assured her, and twined her tail with his.
-
((OOC: I'm assuming so? Idk though))
Hunter turned at the new voice. This new girl looked just as alarmed as he was, which was a lot.
"I'm Hunter, and this is Aspen," he answered Athens' question. Aspen waved a greeting, and then went onto introduce the twins.
-
She looked up at all three of her new companions. She sat up, feeling a little uncomfortable at the air of authority surrounding these cats. She couldn't help but wonder why some of them had wings, but she didn't voice these thoughts out loud.
She faced the jaguar, the ghost of a smile on her muzzle. "i'm Flicker, and I was just roaming around. I wasn't aware that somebody already lived here, and I'll leave now." She dipped her head respectfully, and padded away, leaving the half-eaten bird with the three cats.
-
He took note of her shyness, and at that moment, decided to get her out of her shell. "Say, wanna go for a walk with me?"
-
She stopped at that question, because, it was a good question. She turned to face them, the confusion evident in her blue eyes.
"I don't know... I just woke up here, and started walking. I don't know how I got here...."
-
Smoke watched the cat from the trees, his dark gray coat blending in with the shadows, his golden eyes shining.
-
"Run," he had whispered.
Blood dripping from his smoky jaw, blue eyes set with determination, ignoring the chaos erupting around them.
Her body was weak, her green eyes wide, blood streaming from the several incisions in her pale silver tabby coat.
Her coat, which once glittered in the sunlight, now was dull. The pouring rain made it stick to her frail body.
The enemy was overwhelming, great big beasts surrounding them, malicious eyes narrowed and strong teeth sharp.
"Run," he had whispered.
And so she ran, and didn't look back.
The last thing she heard was a scream.
She ran for days, she ran until she was too weak to stand. Then she collapsed, closing her green eyes, unable to keep them open for a second longer.
The last thing she saw was his welcoming blue eyes, his crooked smile, his smoky gray tail beckoning her to come to his side. So she did, and she didn't look back.
((OOC: Yea, I have no idea where I was going with this xD))
