She couldn't smell the cats anymore, so she assumed they were gone. Her stomach growled angrily, but she ignored it, returning to her wounds.
She needed to come up with a game plan. She longed to return to her blood-soaked home and search for her friend, the tom she loved so much. But at the same time, the stranger that had distracted her captors long enough to escape was probably being held prisoner. She felt like she should help out the stranger, but her friend could be dying right now... The scream she heard when she left....
Her mind was set. She'd return home and find him, and then come back and free the prisoner.
