Salem raised a brow at her tone, tilting his head he said simply, "I'm just simply showing respect for a good fighter. I've had not had a good fight in awhile and since you're in not so much in a good condition I'm simply lending my help." He said lazily, "But I do suggest you make up your mind quickly, the scent of blood could possibly attract over some of the more ah, feral members of my kind that won't think twice about finishing you off."

In a nonchalant tone he responded as if he had all the time in the world, "For your first question: no I did not take back what I said, at least not all of it. Though I suppose most of it could be taken back, I am surprised you're still able to be alert much less talk. And secondly," He paused briefly to cast a glance over his shoulder before continuing, "It wasn't my intentions to come within range of some basitin territory. Some d*mn humans chased me over here, besides," His blue eyes seemed like chips of ice as he continued, "You wouldn't want to be caught by them to either be killed on spot, becoming a servant to some high ranking human or such, or worse a sex slave." He snorted, "Keidrans have the worse of it, with those weird Keidran Breeders that are supposedly specified in breeding keidran, but anyways originally I was on my own, the humans caught me by surprise and that's exactly the reason why I'm here talking to you. Now, anymore questions before you lose more blood basitin?"

He raised a brow upon the basitin female lifting up her ruined shirt as so he could inspect the wound. He did however do as he was asked, kneeling down to check the severity of the wound. Seeing that it was not life-threatening he stood up and said simply, "Well you won't die from it, so I'm sure you'll be fine, though some medical care could be tended to it so you won't get an infection." A lopesided grin crossed his face as he said, "I am fairly surprised though, doesn't your Basitin decency laws call that I don't know, greatly indecent for you to be lifting your shirt up, especially to a stranger that you barely even know."

Salem listened as she had started talking, upon hearing her list out all of the current problems, he shrugged as if it was of no big deal to him, "The first one requires a distraction so you could sneak by without any problems which I can probably help you with that," He paused briefly as he said, "Then your second issue is on your own. I doubt your kind would be too trusting of an outsider, especially a keidran at that." Then he yawned seemingly lazy at the moment, "The last problem is my own which I can handle by myself. I didn't just live this long without picking up a few skills along the way."

Salem shrugged, "I dunno, I suppose I can but... I never was the type trusted easily by your kind though. Then again, humans don't trust me either so I suppose I have no choice either way," He eyed her placing the blades back into their scabbard and thought, "Huh, an assassin? No wonder she's quicker than any other Basitin that I've ever came across..." Though he was slightly irritated with the tone she was using with him, he did keep his calm attitude for the moment, then upon seeing that he had not introduced himself -not that he was usually forget since the situation hee had put himself in before caused an awkward scenario, he smiled a generally friendly smile, a complete contrast to his attitude earlier reaching out a paw in a friendly geusture he said, "Salem R. Zarene, at your service."

Salem nodded his head, now settling into a more serious mood now at the hint of urgency in her tone. Of course he knew that she must be feeling horrible right now judging simply by body movement and tone of voice which caused him to be faintly concerned but he decided to shake it off for now and said, "Alright, I suppose we should start moving then." He kept a cautious eye on her though as he walked after her old scent trail, apparently tracking it back to whence she had came. He couldn't help but not feel uncomfortable with being among the Basitin species once more, but he simply dismissed it. As he walked forward, a slight smile crossed his face as he glanced over his shoulder at the how old he was question, "I've been alive for fourteen years. Supposedly, in your race as well as humans I'm considered still a child, but since keidran mature faster and really don't live long, I'm really twenty three." He seemed fairly amused with answering the question.

A smirk crossed his face as he said in reply, "Thank you," He watched as she took the lead but didn't even bother to attempt to walk faster than her, deciding not to purposefully irritate her for now. He stared ahead as he said, "Really, I'm not bothered by the question of my age much, it happens all the time... at least from humans and basitins mostly." His gaze grew somewhat somber as he continued, "And really, for keidran the expression "Life is Short" is a reality for us, so I learned everything I can... of course without getting caught by the humans. I had visited the homeland of your race though, a very beautiful place I must add but the decency laws are ridiculous." He said that with an annoyed tint, "Honestly it really does seem like your race has a law for everything, even personal lives revolve around your laws."
