Wolfgate badly wanted to participate but, knowing how annoying it was to be interrupted in the midst of a spar, simply sat himself beside Lady Avorio and watched through sharp green eyes.

"Hoping there's room for one more." the quiet, rasping words came from Wolfgate as the smoke tortoiseshell approached, analyzing Falleneclipse briefly before switching his attention towards the nearest bush.
-
Wolfgate didn't like people who trespassed without expressly stating what they were doing. Green eyes narrow, the multicolored crew member approached in a cold silence.
-
Wolfgate spotted the familiar clouded leopard cub and felt a soft smile tug at the edges of his lips. "Hey, little girl." he cooed, attempting to sweep Aolani up in a hug.
-
"Well done. Getting over fears indicates mental strength." a truly Wolfgateian compliment; the grayish brown tomcat approached with brisk, lilted steps, smiling briefly at the Lady.
-
Wolfgate sank into a sitting position, still waiting for the stinky building's owner to reply, nose crinkled in disgust.
-
"I'm hostin' a race!" bellowed Wolfgate, striding out onto the beach and glancing about. A run would give them all something to do, he figured. "Participants, meet me in the meadow!" he proceeded to turn and jog towards the grassy stretch of land.
-
Wolfgate prowled in restless circles - his bad leg was hurting him especially today and made existence quite uncomfortable. Socialization provided the best distraction - perhaps a game would help? "Would anyone like to play, uh, Would You Rather?" he grunted in a pained tone, hobbling towards the shade of the trees.

Wolfgate had been ambled through the cool pine forest, his head lowered and his posture relaxed as he strolled, simply reveling in the simplicity and beauty of the misty afternoon, when sudden, harsh cries assaults his ears. Head jolting upwards, the multicolored crew member began to run towards the source of the sound. He found a scrawny loner swiping at a red-winged blackbird, which was letting out terrified shrieks. Letting out a growl, he threw himself at the rogue and, after exchanging a couple swipes, the underfed thing scampered away, bleeding slightly(Wolfgate himself was sporting a large but mercifully shallow gash along his side). The dark-feathered bird let out a shuddering chirp of gratitude and flapped towards the warrior. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" it said breathlessly, which came as a surprise. Apparently, it spoke cat. "I am your servant. You saved my life." continued the blackbird, bowing at Wolfgate's paws. He looked uncomfortable - his 'hero' act had not been to save the winged male - no, indeed, he had just wanted to ensure that a thief would not profit. But he wasn't about to turn down a devoted servant. "Okay. Well, my name is Wolfgate."
-
"I'll go to an ally." offered Wolfgate, stepping forward.

It was true that Wolfgate had hosted one of these recently, but that had been more of an unofficial event. This one, though, this one was official; approved by the new Captain, a way to test the newcomers and ensure that all the old members had claws as sharp as always. The tomcat had purposely waited for bad weather - rain lashed at the pirate ship and the skies rumbled with thunder. The poor visibility, however, would be an excellent challenge. Bounding onto a crate, the multicolored crew member began to shout over the tumult. "SKULLS! OUT OF YER BEDS, IT'S TIME FOR BATTLE TRAINING!"

Sticky please - approved by the Skulls' leader (:

Wolfgate continued to wait for an opponent, wondering if he should send his blackbird for more backup.
-
Groaning, the tomcat sank beneath a towering tree and nodded to Fitz. "Just my leg acting up." he answered tensely, flicking his ear at Ao's son to signify that he acknowledged the pup. "Okay. Fitz, you can go fi - " Wolfgate had to clench his jaw shut as his leg gave a throb " - rst."
-
Wolfgate's hackles lowered, though he looked wary. "Name's Wolfgate." he said shortly. "Wanna tour?"
-
Wolfgate, who had not been expecting this, let out a muffled shriek as he was pinned to the ground by a ball of flying ginger fur. Spluttering, he blinked up at the apprentice's face and just recognized her. "Geroff!" he meowed in a tone of frustration, writhing in an attempt to free himself.
-
"Wolfgate saved me!" trilled the bird adoringly, fluttering towards Fitz.
-
He had expected the snowshoe to show, so it was without surprise that he flicked his tail in a greeting to the Shanghai.

OOC: Ahh, I almost missed your attack, Merc! Mind using his color next time? ♥

Gwen's strategy was flawed - a hulking tiger barreling towards you was pretty hard to not to dodge; he therefore spun neatly out of the bodyguard's way and propelled himself forward, attempting to latch himself onto her back while she was still disorientated. -
"Good, good." Wolfgate wasn't entirely pleased to see Dauntlesspaw - he found her too erratic for his tastes - but at least he'd have something to be distracted with.
