Shade slid through the undergrowth, her raven-colored pelt melting in with the shadows of the setting sun. Her piercing violet eyes were trained on a crippled figure whom was limping heavily next to a mossy boulder. The injured doe was young, and oblivious to the lean she-dog.

The she-dog hadn't grown up with this, she'd once been a sled dog who'd ran flank on a supply sled. Before that she had been born in an arena, dog fights. It seemed where ever she ended up it was never for long. Now she'd made herself at home in the thick wild of Alaska, and fared well. Though game had made it sled scarce lately, so the injured doe would make for a much needed meal. Shade let its musky warm scent flood her nose, just a few more steps and she would practically be on top of it...

(Bump to Ashfur)
-
Shade was temporarily stunned as she was knocked off her feet, and immediately realized that this was a huge wolf whom had her pinned. The she-dog had seen wolves before, and at times even worked with the loner's to catch prey. This was no scrawny rogue though, and Shade had no intentions of getting maimed just before winter. Mind racing, the sleek dog harshly nudged his side to unbalance him, slid between the male's legs. In a heartbeat she sprang out of reach, and facing the pack bristling.
-
A sleek youthful she-cat hurried across camp, her crimson fur was slightly tousled from the rushed morning's ordeals. It was hardly sun-high and the apprentice had already been out of camp twice, EmberPaw rarely had a moment's rest with her mentor on her tail these days. Her emerald eyes were glimmering with moisture from the potent herbs that were crammed in her jaw.
-
"Everything to be done under StarPelt that's what."EmberPaw's tongue was as sharp as ever, despite being pinched with catmint. The apprentice kept a brisk trot until she reached the entrance of the cave that served as the clan's medicine den. Here she spat out the tangy leaves with open irritation, finding it hard to ignore the tom tailing her every step. "I see that you've taken a day off though." The she-cat's temper was almost as fiery as her pelt.
-
"Hmph, wanna' trade mentors? AspenFall is a pain in my bu-" EmberPaw started to say, unaware of the smoky brown tom emerging from the den behind her.
-
AspenFall's eyes narrowed, but the only suspicion he showed with the subtle flickering of his tail. The tom was surprisingly young still, his body set leanly and coated with glossy oak-colored fur. He was actually considered very handsome when the seemlingy ever-preset scowl left his muzzle. EmberPaw was no mouse-brain, and caught on quickly to the apprentice's words. "I don't know what I would do without him." The apprentice dipped her head coyly, her sea-green eyes flashing gratitude to her clan-mate. "Where is your mentor MuddyPaw? It is bad enough we are already short a warrior with EbonyHowl hurt, we need all paws in the clan to help out." AspenFall growled, his feet carrying him silently over beside them.
-
EmberPaw looked pleadingly at AspenFall, eager for some slightly less sour company. The dark tom stood silent at first, but slowly nodded his head. "Only until HawkWing awakes. The yarrow near the border of ShadowClan is thriving, a few stalks would certainly be of use." He said grudgingly, stalking off into the den once again to tend to the clan.

(I haven't read it, but I'm an advanced roleplayer who can catch on pretty quickly. Is that okay? Or would you prefer someone with experience with the book?)
Name: Jack
Gender: Girl
Appearance:
Personality: Incredibly smart, in a strategic mind set. Her eyes and face are usually guarded, and she is not one who can trust easily. Once she opens up however, you'll find a slightly more playful side with a delightful sense of humor. Her temper is fiery when provoked, but otherwise non-existent.
Dislikes: Being called Jackie, pet names (dear, honey, love, etc.), not being treated as someone's
equal.
Other: Family was lost in a plane-crash when she was seven.

Bump -
The pretty she-dog let her fur lie flat, but remained on her toes. ready to spring away and run in a moments notice. Defiantly, she raised her chin to steadily meet his gaze. "I am Shade, of the Whispering Forest. This is the only place were the prey still remains in this season, so here I am."

Jinx
Gender: Female
Age: Two years old
Supporter or Against: Still skeptical, but for now is supportive
Ranking: Look out (if she decides supportive in Roleplay)
Personality: A cool, sly dog who relies on her wit and street-smarts for survival. It isn't uncommon for her to fight dirty if she needs to, but otherwise is loyal to her word and friends. Her trust is not gained easily, and to get her to open up to someone is rare.
History: A dog who once was held captive in a dog-fight club, she is skillful at combat but has developed a genuine fear of small confined places. Now that she is alone, she wanders in order to survive and avoids the ex-fight dogs who hunt her for their redemption. -
Alright, thanks!

"How about I make a bargain for you? You let me go and you can keep your slimy tongue inside your head." Shade replied with fake sweetness in her voice oozing between her teeth. Her tone wasn't hostile, but it was cold enough to carry across the message. This she-dog was no prize to be won.

Bump to wow
-
Shade had tried to leap out of the way, but the male had been too fast. Before she had hit the ground he had at least managed to gouge a satisfyingly deep bite onto his muzzle. She had been about to lash out in a final attempt to escape when the crushing weight was suddenly gone. The younger wolf, and admittably more attractive one had tackled the older one, and in a blur had sprung back to his feet. Shade didn't need to be told twice to run, and was hurtling away as soon as she was on her paws.
-
"Ouch!" Shade flexed her throbbing shoulder, and turned to glare at her "savior" with piecing blue eyes. "Was that really necessary? What if there had been a drop into a gorge there? We would have been hurtled to our graves!"
-
"I was handling the situation." The she-dog muttered sourly, lying as smoothly as a snake slithers. Electric blue eyes bright but wary she followed the wolf.
-
"Shade." Shade's gaze climbed over the chilly landscape. "And you are?" Her heart was still racing from the recent chase.
-
Shade swung her head towards Spirit Runner "How do I know I can trust you? Your leader wasn't exactly courteous, you could be no different,"
