- Valerie and Nightmare aren't surprised by Jonah's usual antics, and show no emotion at his entrance. Nicholas, however, quite literally fell off Nightmares steed and was now sprawled on the ground-
Valerie- Jonah, what is it this time?

Ooc: Akane left Ater, Ater left after a few hours, left a note thanking her for her hospitality, went to the academy, asked kate to tell him the state of his soul, needs true love to heal it and is in despair, found an old friend of his, Jonah
Ic:
-Ater wrote, 'I killed the princes favorite assassin, and he may seek retribution against me. That's why I asked you about the state of mt soul. To see if I could free myself from his realm through one of two ways' and handed it to her- -
-Valere relaxed. She had entered the Arrondike Plains, neutral territory. Latonae snorted and shook his mane. She rubbed his neck and sighed. Being a Wanderer had it's advantages and drawbacks, the rewards few but great. She looked back toward the north, toward to kingdom of Zykar. She had left her village in ruins, but she had no choice. They went too far and she lost control of her powers. Valere swore to return one day, but now was not the time, not for many years to come. She spurred Latonae onward, toward a new life. One in which she wasn't the Shadow Incarnate, the daughter of the Dark Incarnate, but one of a very powerful Shadar-Kai Witch and skilled Chainfighter-
Valere- Wae a-rae paa-seta tahee patoinata tofe neto raetaorane
-We are past the point of no return- -
-Val smiled as she put on her shades-
Val- You had me at smoothie -
-Ater sighed and wrote, 'I'm afraid there is not much you'll be able to do against the Prince himself Kate. There is another way to free my soul, but I won't survive the ordeal with my soul in its current condition' and hadned it to her-
-
-Nicholas was still stunned by Jonah's entrance, and took a few minutes to regain his senses. Valerie was mentally glaring at Nicholas-
Valerie- We've noticed -
-Val laughed with her-
Val- now lets see if pizza here is as good as you claim it is! -
-Ater left Kate, Jonah, and Zero, disappearing into the shadows and reappearing a few mils away so they couldn't witness him fall apart. Memories attacked his mind, ones he had supressed for millennia-
-
Ooc: not much happened, Ater is going through an anxiety attack and Kates arm is healed
Ic:
-Ater leaned against a tree, breathing heavily. The memories were so vivid... he shook his head. Why now? Why would theu plague him now?- -
-Valerie nodded as Nightmare helped Nicholas up to his feet-
Valerie- Yes, saved this one from one of Azonious creatures, a Bone Claw, which means the Chaotic gods and most likely the evil gods as well are taking notice of this influx of Keepers -
-Calm yourself, he reminded himself, they are only memories, they are only the past. Aters breathing slowed, and he knew that the cause of these influxes of long dead events was his broken soul-
-
-Ater collapsed as another wave hit him. Faces, sounds, sights, and smells attacked him. He tried desperately to not get caught up in the chaos of it all-
-
-In a swift motion, Ater cut his arm. It was shallow, but the pain was enough to chase tbe memories away. The cut healed quickly, leaving another scar. Ater sighed, and now more than before he wanted his soul healed-
-
-He was still shivering slightly as he shadow walked back into Akanes home. He burned the note, as it was apparent she hadn't returned since he left, and waited for her. He was determined to gain the truth from her-
-
-Ater heard Akanes katana outside, and was prepared with his pen and paper.Time to see if the pen really is greater than the sword, he thought-
-
-Ater shivered again, the memories trying to invade his mind again, but he held them at bay. He needed to focus on what would happen next-
-
-Ater wrote, 'Why would I? I don't run from what I could fear'-
-
-Ater wrote, 'I still want to know how you felt when you saw me dying. What the real Akane felt, not your mask'-
-
- Night soon fell over the plains, and Latonaes mane, tail, and hooves crackled and lit into silver fire. Karer, her daemon, nipped at her left ear in greeting, and poked his head outside her deep hood. Valere smiled, something she hadn't done since she learned about her father and her position as Champion of Iskios. The smile faded as she remembered the first time she met her father. Shaking her head to come out of the memory, she halted Latonae and made camp by some high bushes. After her Nightmare had been rubbed down, she cast a spell of concealment, invoking her patron god Anzic, the god of shadow-
Valere- A-nesaikhn i a-seka yatoo tao heidae ose feraoma seichhata, heapa mae khnlatoa-ka ose ine sehea-daowa.
Anzic I ask you to hide us from sight, help me cloak us in shadow
-Power filled her being and her eyes and chain-like tattoo flared silver, as it always did when she used her magic. She surrounded the camp in shadows, which faded until the normal scenery could be seen. When her eyes returned to their normal dark gray, she knew that no one could see in, but she could see whoever passed by. Valere, with Karer perched on her shoulder and watching, sat against Latonaes side and studied from her grimoire- -
-Ater wrote calmly, 'You are still a terrible liar Akane. Please let me know the truth.'-
