[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][font=dotum]The king had noticed how Darius had been acting. The shock of finding out that Parker had siblings had seemed to be something that hit the volcanic Sunguard hard though he wasn't sure as to why. Whatever had happened for him to have children, surely it was something that they would have been through before the attack had happened. It hurt to notice how his fiancé had been acting as of late, but Connor still felt pretty clueless to most of it. It made him feel awful though, like he had done something seriously wrong by being attacked like that. He felt useless, he hated it.
Hearing the shouting his throat had tightened as he stood in his empty room. The mutilated creature's usual invisibility cast onto his antlers, sabreteeth fangs and white bird wings flickered over his small and skinny frame at that point as he looked around at the vaguely familiar room. His invisible form still glowing such a dim orange, like a dying flame as tears slipped down his cheeks. Leaving tear stains and making him unable to keep the power running any longer. Who was he? Darius was right, he was a bastard. Couldn't even stop himself from turning to alcohol without the creature or Peppermintpaw around.
He missed his ex-colleague and by now he remembered vividly the way she had gone. Her crumpled form lying on the ground that had shoved him into a depression that he hadn't been able to find a way out of. It had been awful, it still was. How was he able to forget even for a second? Connor didn't know, but if he had managed to forget a relationship that meant so much to him then there wasn't much of a shock to find out that he hadn't been able to hold onto his memories that well at all. Tears continued to run down his cheeks by now as he lay on the floor of his room and tried to comfort his aching head. Not like that was going to happen though.
As much as he didn't want to, Connor had to talk to him. Paws shaking and almost unable to hold up his petite frame as he tried to clear his thoughts. Looking like a normal calico as he had done for a long time now, having been used his powers to cover up the fact that he had mutations for the sake of just wanting to be normal in at least his feline form. It was nice, but right now that wasn't the thing on his mind. It was the fact that he had ruined someone's life like that.
"D... Darius" it hurt to say his name as he forced himself to lean on the door frame as he tried to hide his tears and shaking figure. Not wanting to go through this anymore though he knew he had to. Connor wouldn't be able to continue like this and after what he had heard he highly doubted Darius could. If he had known the guy had been thinking of ending his own life for the sake of there ruined relationship he would have broken right there, already feeling so useless and desperate to just live life like anyone else would. To not have to deal with the fact that he had left behind something so important to his life.
With a name seared into his mind, the creature tried to hold back another flood of tears as he stood there. Trying to ready himself for whatever the lion had to say to him. How useless and awful he was, the things he deserved to hear.
