yeah, i always get flooded and ignored so i typically don't respond more than twice. really, this goes for any thread with over four members if there's not a set reply order, but that's just me. -

i've always personally defined it like this:advanced is three or more paragraphs with lots of detail and proper grammar/spelling/punctuation.
literate is any length, with proper grammar/spelling/punctuation.
i don't know if there's a proper definition for either, but that's how i define it. semi-advanced is just kind of advanced, but i've never heard semi-literate before.

[hr]APPEARANCE. Click for messy ref. At first, this cat doesn't look like much. Maybe a little bit taller than some at the shoulder, but otherwise a typical cat. He's a light brown tabby, with white on his muzzle, the tips of his ears, the tip of his tail, and every foot except for the back left. His eyes are a pale hazel color, bordering on green.
The only thing that really makes them stick out in a crowd is the glowing field that seems to surround their body: a pale green that seems strongest around his paws. It's similar to fog, almost. They have no way of controlling it, but it seems to get stronger when he's asleep, leaving them glowing like a nightlight.

[hr]PERSONALITY. Well what can you expect from someone nicknamed Spooky? They're spooky. But it's a good spooky. The kind of spooky that inspires thoughts of crop circles and alien abductions. He's got a certain way of presenting his odeas, with an almost cheesy exuberance, followed by a period of straightforwardness as they explain their thoughts and ideas. They often follow up their seriousness with jokes that are borderline ridiculous, but just ridiculous enough to work. Despite his usually cheerful, funny disposition, they are often followed by intense periods of cynicism. They have a strong dislike for authority, and their trust has to be earned.
(ah wip but characteristics: childlike excitement mixed with complete and utter seriousness. sarcasm and cynicism paired with a lopsided grin and an easy sense of humor. extraordinarily enthusiastic when it comes to things he enjoys, which usually deals with what others say is their imagination. he has made a habit of not really trusting anyone, except maybe one or two individuals that he comes to trust with his life. they are protective and careful in their friendships, but rarely finds himself in intimate or close romantic relationships, mostly due to his eccentricity. he allows for his personal emotions to cloud his judgement often, and may eventually rely on someone else to shake him out of that haze every once in a while)

ah i always seem to ask this stuff, sorry. ^^;
so, i'm finally working on my glowy character, and i need a little bit of helps with names. i have a concept i can explain, but basically i just need some spooky names. not like... dark names, nothing to do with murder or death. just kind of paranormal-ish, think ufo sightings and little green men in military bases. that kind of spooky.can anyone help here? the only ones i have are paranormalencounter and alienencounter but those are really long and they look a little strange.
