Donny wasn't grinning. He had more of a tight smile on a face that was just as tense as the rest of his body. The gopher was measuring up the odds of avoiding a fight at all costs. This far from his territory, injured, he'd be a walking meal for almost every animal he came across. Not that he already wasn't, of course. He was sure that he could win a fight if one happened to break out between the two, but not without a few injuries. He was a small gopher ( actually, he was quite large for his species at nine inches ), but this was a proclan kit with three legs and a happy disposition. "I'm a mesmedona of PhantomClan," He answered finally after he finished evaluating a likely outcome. "You're SkyClan, but surely you're too young to be named Snowstar, of all things? Are you playing a game?"

The other cat's gesture - Narquois, the new member, he noticed - was more painful, although it had the desired effect. The gopher stumbled to his paws, tripping a little as he went. It was strange how most of his clanmates thought he was trying to kill himself. He wouldn't do that; he was too cowardly to take his own life. Reyna's words sank into him, and Donny offered her a weak smile.

I'm Donny. You said your name was Narquois, didn't you?" The gopher was sure that was her name - he did have a good memory for names.

The rodent was not at all put off by the white kitten's curiosity and then apparent dismissal. He supposed it was rather strange to see a gopher in the clan, let alone as a mesmedona.
