The two sat there for a moment, in a daze as they watched the scientists come closer.

"You're like a sister to me too, Renegade." Skyhigh sighed, bracing herself as the last of the mews went outside.

"Let's go!" The mew hissed as a loud roar sounded.

The two cats rushed toward the closing doors, their fur bristling.

The mew cat didn't want to leave Skyhigh, so she followed close to her, levitating off the ground.

The both of them lunged under the door.

Renegade and Skyhigh blinked open their eyes, surprised they weren't crushed under the metal.
