" Everything's fine, Moonpaw," Acornpaw told her, " could you keep an eye on Dovekit for us?" he flicked his tail towards the new, white kit. It was cuddled up against Fernblaze's side, already suckling.

" Alright then, Shimmer. Let's get you to the nursery, I'm sure there'll be a queen willing to take you in there." Aroko said, flicking his tail inside the empire.

" Just sit next to it, make sure Dovekit doesn't go anywhere." Acornpaw told Moonpaw. He turned his attention back to Fernblaze, " you're doing fine."

Aroko flicked towards the camp entrance, a hole in the ground.
" I'll keep an eye on Shimmer as we head down." he told Elixor.

Aroko stopped Shimmer with his paw as she began to head down into the camp.
" Wait for Elixor. You don't know where you're going. You might get lost."

Once Elixor passed them, Aroko let Shimmer go and they headed down the tunnel.

Hourglass just woke up from her nap and saw all of the commotion. Stagdance and Death the Kid fighting, Inceptionrave and Matrixoracle leaving, and Zombie just sitting there with a bored expression on her face.
" Why doesn't mommy play with us like the other mommies?" she thought. Her eyes found some moss and she decided to make a ball.
" Better make it perfect, or Death will 'have my head'. " she thought again. After a while, Hourglass made herself a perfect moss ball. She carried it over to Zombie.
" Mommy, will you play with me?" she asked sweetly.

Runaway woke up. "Huh?" she said, then sighed. So it wasn't a dream.. I am on my own.. she thought, then heard the others talking about cougars. What are those? she thought and flicked her tail. "What's a cougar?" she asked, blinking her yellow eyes.

Hourglass turned towards Runaway.
" A cougar is a really big cat. Like, a million times bigger than us," she turned back to Zombie, " please Mommy?"

Hourglass knew that Zombie was ignoring her, but that didin't stop her from getting what she wanted, she's a persistent little kit.
" Please, Mommy? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

" Hey, Cinderpaw!" Some of Cinderpaw's buddies came up to him and Shypaw.
" Oh, hey guys. What's up?" he replied.
" We heard what happened. Are you two alright?"
" Yeah, but I got a cut on the back of my head, see?" Cinderpaw turned to show them.
" Whoa. How'd you get that?"
" I hit the side of the gorge."
" And Shypaw, how scary was it?"
" Very." she replied.
" How did you react to the fact your life could be over?"
" What? No, I saved Cinderpaw."
" You did? Huh, someone said that he saved you. Weird."
" Very..."

Darkpaw listened in on the she-cats' conversation.
" Apprentices can't be queens! Something must be done about this! But then again... I don't want more cats to hate me..." he thought. Darkpaw wasn't exactly popular with his clan mates, he had but one or two friends. Unlike Blackpaw, everyone adored her, he was lucky to be her friend.

Greypaw padded to the apprentice den when Honeypaw caught his eye. Her golden fur, her shimmering eyes, she was too good for him. But he went over anyways.
" H-Hi."

Greypaw backed up after Thunderstorm came up.
" Great. She'll obviously pick the big, strong warrior rather than the lanky, nothing special apprentice." he thought sadly. He padded into the den with his ears flat and tail drooped.

" Yeah, thanks for reminding me Chaoswind." Cinderpaw said, heading to his nest, Shypaw padded after him.
" What was that about?" she demanded.
" I honestly have no idea. The only cat I've talked to since what happened was you and Chaoswind's family."
" Then why did you friends think tha-"
" Maybe it's because of our background. You're more of a shy cat, and I'm more of the one who'd take risks like that. Maybe it was a misunderstanding."
" You make a good point..."

Greypaw couldn't believe his ears when Honeypaw said to stay. He turned around and padded back over to her.

" I'm... Greypaw." he said, not very into himself.

" O-okay." Greypaw stammered, smiling shyly. In his mind he was screaming YESSSSSS!

" We're coming." Greypaw called to the warrior.

Matrix whirled around and glared at Darkness, pinning his ears back. His whole face twisted into a displeased glare. "Back off, old man, this ain't any of yo' business!" He snapped. Stupid old timers... why can't they just mind their own? Puffing up his fur, he stood up straight, trying to make himself as big as possible. Besides... weren't parents supposed to be scaring the living daylights out of their kits? The black tom kit curled his lip. This guy definitely wasn't no daddy. 'I'm a god, a master of the universe," he purred, "I don't take advice from no one. If a cougar comes around I'll just like, grow a whole bunch and whup his butt!" He swiped his paw in the air in order to give a demonstration.

Hourglass got fed up with her ignoring mother and tried to bite her paw.

Greypaw wanted to say something back to Thunderstorm, but that would be disrespectful and would scare the bird away. He got into his best bird hunting stance and crept towards the bird.
