Luke headed won the hall and to the dorm he shared with Jasper. he opened the door and plopped down on the small bed.

Kate walked down the hall, distracted by the thoughts on what Luke had said.

IC: Chloe yawned and sat up in her bed. She rolled out of bed and got to her feet. Half-asleep, the young leader changed into her uniform and headed into the hall.

IC: Damien heard some commotion over at the church. Deciding to check it out, he headed over in that direction.

Chloe passed by Luke's room, hearing the teen's snoring. She stopped herself from knocking on the door and waking him up, deciding he could sleep in some time longer.

Chloe jumped, hearing the thump followed by Luke's yelp. Rolling her eyes, she continued to walk down the dormitory hallway. When she reached the sitting room she sat by the large window, looking out of the large aircraft and at the open space.

Chloe jumped and turned around. "Oh, morning Luke." she said, relaxing.

Chloe stood to face him. "No sign of danger." she said, pulling out the holographic tablet she used to check Cloud9's missions. "Our unit is going out to practice diving later though. I can't stay cooped up in this aircraft all day." she said, looking back up at him.

Chloe rolled her eyes, sitting in the chair opposite from him. "Would you rather be stuck inside?" she asked, looking out the window.

"Good." Chloe said, rising to her feet and standing. She faced the window and looked out, watching the clouds pass by. She remembered being brought here as a child. She hadn't had a choice of having a normal life. Not since her parents... Chloe stopped herself from thinking, rubbing her sleeve across her eyes to stop herself from crying. She couldn't think about that right now.

She stiffened at his question, looking away. After a moment, she cleared her throat. "Yea, I'm fine." she muttered. After a moment's pause, Chloe cleared her throat one more time. "Be ready to go at noon." she said before turning towards the door.

Chloe headed towards the armory quickly. That was close. You can't let your emotions get the best of you. she thought to herself. Holding up her badge to the scanner, she heard the click of the armory door open. She slipped into the room, heading over to her wing pack, labeled number 32. She grabbed the bag before heading back out again.

Chloe checked her watch. It read 11:35 am. She looked up and saw Luke headed towards her. "You wanna just go out now?" she asked.

Chloe nodded and slipped on her pack, heading out towards the diving area. She stopped by one of the doors, next to it was a large red button. "When I open the door follow my lead. Spiral dive until the clouds leave your vision. Then count to three and open your wings. Got it?" she said, looking at him.

Chloe nodded and hit the red button. The door outside flew open and she fell backward, diving through the thick clouds and towards the Earth.

Chloe followed short after, opening the wings on her pack. She shot back up, falling into a line beside Luke. She shot him a grin, her past thoughts vanishing and being replaced with the adrenaline she felt every time she flew.
