"Your job is basically just to get 'favors' out of the other gangs and get them to trust you. It'll increase our profits substantially," I explain carefully, phrasing my words with care. "Also, as a gang, we just do things that'll help us so we don't become broke. And stay away from the cops!" I say.
Ten, I think...I'm not exactly sure.
That drawing is amazing! I loved your form c:
Wow. I just ask for a recap xD
I take a pocketknife out of my pocket and examine it carefully, struggling with my mind. I place it to my wrist, but I just couldn't pull it down and actually slice the skin.
With the drawing? Or the form?
Who did the drawing? The form seemed complete to me..
Ah, okay. Well, that's some dedication.

I suppress a slight smile as I see the same Amity girl who beat an Erudite up fall flat on her face in the gravel at the top of the building. She laid there for a little bit, but I had no concern about her. Death happens. Her friend, a Dauntless-born, helped her up and I frowned a little. Pity to the weak shouldn't be a part of her nature. The initiate should have been able to get up on her own and should not have been treated like a weak, ignorant child. I continue on talking as they hurry up to catch the last little bit of my speech.
I step off the edge, falling in silence. It still felt like I was weightless, soaring through the air without heed. It certainly wasn't frightening. I land in the net and scramble about, rolling off the edge and landing on my feet with a thud. I stride quickly over to the other Dauntless leaders, not bothering to greet them. I stand by Max and wait for the initiates to fall. It is a surprisingly long wait, and even the patient Dauntless leaders start to fidgit. I started pacing what seemed like hours ago. It was like they were debating who should go first and someone got pushed off.
There is only mild surprise when the Amity falls first, a slight scream being effortlessly squeezed out of her as she lands into the net with a slight whoosh of air. She just lays there and laughs and I am about to call her out for her giddiness when Four gets her out of the net and sets her right. There is another excruciatingly long silence while the initiate stares at me as I examine her again, my rigid posture not revealing a thing. I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow while waiting for her to speak.
She must. I don't hear her speak, but she must. I see her lean forward and say her new name to Four. I don't remember my old name anymore. It has only been two years, but it doesn't matter anymore. I just remember it being somewhat cold and calculating like my old faction. I really am not sure, and I really don't have it in me to care. Four shouts out, "June Dagan, first jumper!" Four was also first jumper. My teeth abruptly grate together. He has to beat me in everything.
I watch her as she walks over to where the new initiates will stand after having jumped, her eyes proud and her chin tilted up. Her shoulders are back, making her lack of figure brutally clear. I purse my lips and smile a little. She is quite small, but maybe she will use it to her advantage. An Abnegation initiate falls through next and I flick my gaze to her. Also small. Her name is Tris. Afterwards, I lose track of all of the names and people, only vaguely remembering the brutes and people that have the potential for immense strength.
I walk beside Four as we lead the initiates to the Pit. "This is the main room for the Dauntless headquarters. Obviously, you will be spending a lot of your time here," I say brusquely, not letting Four have the chance to speak. "Four will continue the tour and let you know when dinner is ready. We will begin training tomorrow morning at seven. Be there or, again, the streets are waiting for you." I leave before anyone has the chance to say anything, spinning on my heels and departing.
{{omigosh that took me a ridiculously long time.}}
All the Beta people disappeared...
Yeah. I love this thread.
MY MUSE RETURNED. It's only been like not even a day xD Could you reserve the medic spot so that I can take my time on the form? Or else it'll be horrible xP
oh, okay, that's fine! i didn't realize someone else was applying for the spot. i will apply for a field agent or something along that line. i don't know how fast the form will be since i am returning to school in about seven hours.
I was, honestly, a little surprised at her forwardness and bravery at standing up to me. Not many had been able to complete such a task. "Well, then. You obviously think very highly of yourself," I state. "All smart thinking that is should be obvious that anyone who backs out is not truly Dauntless." I pause so I know that I say everything with the utmost efficiency and without pointless talk. "However, there are people who wouldn't have realized that. I need to explain to everyone how crucial Dauntless initiation is to your success here." I stare at her for a couple seconds longer before looking away at the other Dauntless, one who was sniggering.
"Do you find something funny?" I ask her, sardonic enough to get it through her thick skull. "Let me be brutally honest. The Dauntless are thought of as the ones that have no rules. But there are basic rules that should be obvious. Even to you," I cast a pointed look at Molly. "There shall be no interrupting, backtalking, or simply being rude to either your instructor or your leaders. Is that clear? I hope so." I cross my arms, knowing full well that my muscular arms are even more defined through doing this motion.
I let an emotionless mask fall upon my face as Four continues lecturing the initiates and touring them around. I wasn't bothered by the initiate laughing at Trixi. I wanted that thick-headed oaf to know that I was in charge and fully intend on letting them know that. They do not get away with anything under my watch. It is considered cruel to verbally abuse initiates, but they must learn their way in this world. They may think that they are all that after the Choosing Ceremony, but they aren't. But they'll learn that in the world of Dauntless. With or without my help.
of course! on my old account, i didn't reserve a spot for anyone because it was unfair, so i understand fully. i hope my field agent will come soon!
Gee, two days? I haven't skipped school yet. Too afraid.
