[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub] The tinkling of the silver, glimmering bell attached to the sky blue collar adorning the cream and brown she-cat's neck signaled her arrival into RiverClan territory, her paws muddied from wandering about. She felt a little nervous and unsure as she'd never wandered this far and she was now on unfamiliar earth. Her paws sunk into the soft ground with each step, and she decided it was too late to turn back-- she had to press forward. But, a plethora of scents reached her nostrils. It seemed that many animals were here, and she was but a small kitten.
"Anyone out there?" She squeaked.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub]"Lost? No," she denied, gazing up at the larger feline. She paused briefly to rest her ocean blue gaze on her cream and seal paws then brought them up again to meet the savannah cat's eyes. "Okay, yeah. I'm lost," she admitted, flinging some mud from one of her back feet. "But just a little. Not like majorly lost. I kinda know where I am," she went on.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub]"Your territory? Oh, I didn't know," the siamese blinked in surprise, the tip of her thin tail giving a slight flick. "My name's Madeline. I wandered a little too far from home... and now I'm here," she explained sigh a sigh. "But where exactly is 'here'?" She inquired, tilting her head to the side; whiskers twitching.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub]"Home for me is... a house, with people. Or twolegs I think they're called? I don't know." She shrugged. "But mine haven't been home in a long time. The strange things that always sit in front of the house have been gone for days and days," the kitten explained. "I've been living off of bugs and stuff. What's RiverClan?" She asked finally, her oceanic gaze glinting with curiosity.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub] The young siamese's deep blue eyes widened.
"I never knew you all existed!" She chirped. Madeline listened closely as it was explained to her that there was more than one Clan-- but were any of them as welcoming or informative as RiverClan had been? She blinked. "How does one join a Clan?" Was the next question that escaped her maw, the silvery bell on her collar sounding as she meandered a little closer to the so called Clan cats. I'm so stupid. I doubt you can actually just join a Clan. You probably have to be born into it or something...

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub] Madeline smiled. Maybe she wouldn't have to live off of beetles and grasshoppers anymore!
"So if I promise a high position I'll be loyal to the Clan and Aella, I'm in?" She questioned, trying to clarify. Her head buzzed happily with thoughts-- maybe the cream and chocolate feline would finally feel like she fit in somewhere. Or were her hopes too high? She wasn't sure, but it seemed promising.

"Okay," the siamese kitten agreed. She didn't know who Aella was, but if she was anything like the RiverClanners Madeline had met so far, she couldn't be too bad. "I swear my loyalty to Aella and RiverClan for the rest of my days here," she promised, oceanic eyes gleaming. -
[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub]
"Thank you!" The siamese chirped, a grin spreading across her deep chocolate maw. She could tell the first tom had forced a smile, but she brushed it off. Some cats just weren't very sociable. Unlike Madeline. Madeline loved to talk.
Turning to the cheetah whom had also welcomed her, she dipped her cream and brown head. "Thank you sir," she copied the apprentice's formal tone; not mocking him, however, her whiskers twitched with slight amusement. "It's an honor to join." -

"Watcha doin?" Madeline inquired with a chirp, deep brown ears swerved forward. "Why is that rabbit following you? Doesn't he know he'll get eaten?" She tilted her creamy head to the side, oceanic gaze still fixed on the hare. "I won't eat him though. I'm still not used to the food around here. It's so... stringy? I don't know. Oh, and then the fish." She sighed, wrapping her tail around her slender paws. "It's just not quite like what I ate at home. But uhm. Not trying to insult RiverClan, or anything." -
[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px red; width: 800x;][justify][sub]
Madeline shook her head vigorously."I hadn't, but now I'll be sure not to," she promised Glitteringpaw. The river was poisoned? That wasn't good. The siamese could have easily wandered into the toxic waters while she was exploring before she joined RiverClan-- and no one would've been around to help her. She shuddered. "Thanks," she added.

The young siamese's oceanic eyes blinked. Paella? A food? What's that? She pondered before parting her chocolate maw to speak once again."Yeah, her name's Aella! But I've never seen her. Yet, anyway." the creamy feline shrugged. Her gaze flitted from Afternoonkit's russet pelt to the pinkish form of Caeser once again. "I'm not gonna eat you!" She insisted. "Or any blue or yellow rabbits. It'd probably make me die!" She exclaimed with a lash of her deep brown tail. "Just like the river water," she added. "And, oh yeah. My name's Madeline." She figured the new kitten would want to learn some names.

"I don't blame him," she admitted; whiskers twitching with amusement. "I mean, I'd be kinda grumpy if I was a bunny surrounded by hungry cats, too," she explained with a hesitant smile. "Promise I won't eat him," she assured Afternoonkit. "You seem pretty attached to him, so I wouldn't kill him-- I'm not a bully!" The siamese defended, then, shifting her paws, a small purr escaped her maw as the joining kitten complimented her address. "Thanks," she blinked in appreciation before speaking again, "Your name is nice too." And it was, she didn't just say it out of politeness. It had a nice ring to it. "Of course!" she chirped in agreement to his last statement-- of all the talking Madeline did, she didn't have any friends to show for it. -

Madeline sat at the edge of the river, making sure her paws didn't get tainted by the poisonous waters. The gentle ebbing and flowing of the shallower part of the stream sure didn't look infected-- it was as tranquil as ever. But, things weren't always as they seemed, she'd realized. She still missed her humans. The spacious rooms and luxurious canned food and her rounded, plush bed. I can't ever get any of that back, she noted solemnly. Why did they leave without me? Why didn't they want me? She let the bad thoughts consume her, a hint of bitterness washing over the cream and chocolate cat. They betrayed me. They left me to eat bugs and get torn apart by fleas. She stared at her deep brown paws with narrowed, sad blue eyes. -

Madeline quietly approached, feeling a little nervous around so many unfamiliar beings."I'm, uh, Madeline," she introduced herself, shifting her deep brown paws. "I don't think I've seen any of you around before," she added in an attempt to make conversation. Her oceanic gaze flitted from cat-to-cat.

The siamese dipped her creamy head in response to Bullkit's introduction, feeling a little more at ease. The pretty brown tabby with darker swirling markings was rather small; one of the first things Madeline noticed about her. Madeline wasn't all that big, either - and was rather gangly... slender, as she would prefer to be noted as - but Bullkit was even tinier!"Nice to meet you!" Madeline chirped to Taurus, her front legs splaying out before her in a stretch.

Madeline flicked her deep brown tail to Walkingkit in greeting. She could see that he was nervous; but she was, too. She wondered if anyone cared that she'd been a housecat. No, she doubted that anyone cared about her at all."Hello, Walkingkit. How are you?"

The siamese kitten blinked as Sirenkit stalked off, seemingly frustrated. Who put bees in her nest? Madeline pondered, before turning to Walkingkit with a similar faint smile to the one that had formed on his maw."Me too," she chimed, stretching her chocolate toes.

Madeline tilted her head to one side as the fluffy canine's paws dug into the earth and uprooted blades of grass. Her humans had always made sure she was clean, and promptly bathed her whenever her creamy pelt collected a single speck of dirt. But now, she was free to do as she wished."May I join?" She inquired, head still held at an angle.
