Yuki nodded in understanding and listened to what Kuran was saying. At least he didn't seem as pissy as he did a few minutes ago. "Sounds spooky."

Yuki turned his head to look at Kuran when he spoke again, but his eyes met a blade going through his instead. His eyes widened in horror as he watched blood seep from the wounds on Kuran.

This was all his fault, if he wasn't distracting Kuran he probably would've heard it ahead of time.

"Kuran!" Yuki yelled and ran to where his partner had been kicked. He kneeled down next to the raven. "Oh my god, are you okay?" He questioned. He was panicking, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do

(Im so sorry for the low muse!)

Yuki quickly grabbed onto Kuran as he transformed, and stumbled out of the way of the crazed kishin. Something didn't feel right at all

He barely had time to dodge. He made sure to pay close attention to every word Kuran said. He attempted to cut the kishin but it dodged too. "I-I cant! This thing is to fast!"

Yuki felt cold despite the sweat he was working up by moving around so much. Was this it? Were they going to die here? The kishin had managed to slice through a bit of his hoodie, at least it wasn't lethal

((Its okay! im sure itll come back soon haha)

Yuki startled when Kuran turned back to human but ran with them nonetheless. If Kuran hadn't blocked the kishins blade with his own, Yuki would probably be dead right now.

The last thing he heard was Kurans whisper before he felt himself being pushed. He let out a yelp before as he hit the ground from the force of the push. He looked back behind him and saw the kishin not go for him on the ground, but continue to chase after the weapon

Why was he set on Kuran?

He winced as he stood up but ignored it in favor of stepping out of the alleyway. Maybe they could go to the school? But if students were there they could get hurt.

Yuki wasn't just abandoning his partner thats for sure. He growled before he started running in an attempt to catch up with them

Maybe they could set it on fire or something?

By the time Yuki had finally got to them he was out of breath and panting. He leaned his arm on the alleywall to steady himself. What he managed to see when he got here was the end of it. Kuran stabbing the thing in the chest and it leaving behind a strange soul.

"I guess-you did it, huh?" He forced out before his breath caught watching Kuran fall to the ground.

He immediately rushed over to the fallen man and got on his knees next to him. "H-hey, you didn't pass out on me did you?" He asked, clearly panicked.

He quickly took off his hoodie and pressed the fabric to the wound on Kurans chest, hoping it'll stop at least some of the bleeding. He put a hand to Kurans mouth to check if he was still breathing. He looked much paler than usual. He hadn't noticed the blood on his shoulder until just now

He frowned and bit his lip, looking around for anyone here. He didn't know if he was capable of carrying him all the way to a hospital, but if he had to he'd try.

Yuki had never been as happy to see a teacher as he was now. He quickly explained everything as best as he could in detail to the man. He watched cautiously as the teacher picked up Kuran and began following him back to the academy.

Yuki sat silently out in the hall, his hands clenched together, staring at the floor.

He slightly turned his head to look at the teacher. "I'm fine." He grumbled and eyed the door to the room Kuran currently resided in.

"I'm not the one that got hurt."

He'd rather have Kuran yell and call him an idiot a thousand times instead of sitting where he was right now.

Yukis eyes quickly darted over to the nurse once she stepped outside. "He is?" His eyes widened as he heard the news and rushed into the room.

He frowned as he saw Kuran in the bed covered in bandages. He still felt like it was his fault. It probably was.

When he got closer to the bed, he could see the discarded bloodstained hoodie sitting on the side table. He felt his eyes begin to water

"I thought you were gonna die, you dummy!" His voice broke and he reached up to try and wipe away the tears that continued to fall. "Why'd you just shove me and run off?"

"I still should have thought of something!" Yuki said in response. He felt so embarrassed to be crying in front someone, especially Kuran. He had just felt so useless.

Yuki reached up to wipe at his eye again. They were probably all red and puffy. He felt his other wrist being grabbed and ended up letting out an undignified squeak as he was pulled into the other male.

He hesitantly reached up to hug Kuran back. "If you say anything about this I'll punch you so hard you'll go through the wall." He threatened

After a few moments of getting his emotions in check - 'stupid tears' - he leaned back. "Did it cut your shoulder too?"

Yuki squinted at him. "If you say so.." He better not be lying about how deep the cut was. He turned his attention to the nurse and stayes quiet during the interaction. He was glad they could go home at least.

The walk back to the apartment was quiet, only really speaking once they both went through the door. Yuki watched as Kuran flopped down on the couch.

"Yeah. But first I'm going to take a five hour long bubble bath." Yuki replied with a sigh. He made his way over to the garbage can and stuffed his hoodie to the very bottom. He didn't want to keep it anymore.

He turned back to Kuran. "Do you think you'll be able to sleep?" He asked then clasped his hands together. "Or does wittle Kuwan need a wittle lullaby?" He teased

(Its ironic because i fell asleep like that this morning lolol)

"You better or I'll knock you out." Yuki stated before heading to his own room. "Goodnight." He called out to his dorm mate. He gathered up his clothes to put on for when he got out and made his way to the washroom. At least the bathtub was big.

He turned on the faucet and waited a few moments for it to warm up before getting in. He leaned back and watched the bubbles rise. All in all, this day sucked. 0/10 would not recommend. He sighed and shut off the water before it got to full.

After washing his hair he leaned over the side of the tub. At least now he finally got to relax. His eyes drifted shut.

Yuki woke up. The first thing he realized was that he was cold. He slowly sat up, his back cracking as he took in his surroundings. ' Oh, I guess i fell asleep..' He must've been more tired than he thought.

Drowsily, he got out a dried himself off, slipping on the pajamas he brought with him. They were long sleeved and blue this time.

He opened the bathroom door and started to head to his own room when he noticed an outline of a person. Panicked, he quickly switched on the light.

"Oh, it's just you. You scared me to death!" Yuki yelled at him. He paused.

    "And why are you awake?!"

Yuki didn't try to hide his amused expression when Kuran dropped his cup. He was still shivering from the cold water of the bath, but seeing Kuran nearly have a heart attack was worth it.

He made his way over to the fridge. Might as well get a drink too. "Haha, well-" He let out an awkward laugh. Leaning against the counter next to Kuran, he popped open a soda.

Not the best thing to drink at God knows what hour of the night but oh well.

He took a sip. "Yeah, so I kinda fell asleep in the bath."

Yuki nudged Kuran with his elbow. "Have you been awake this whole time?" He asked quietly

Yuki nearly dropped his soda when Kuran punched him. It wasn't hard but he didn't expect it. He gave a pout and rubbed the spot on his arm with his hand.

Pout stretching into a grin after hearing the question. "I-" he started but was cut off but Kuran.

    Pout is back.

Death by bathtub sounds absolutely hilarious

When Kuran looked back at him he gave a small "Night." Before walking into his own room. What time even was it?

Oh, it was 3am. You know what everyone says about waking up at 3am.

With a grin he banged on the wall separating their two rooms and called, "Oooh~ Don't let the demons get you!" He teased, not completely oblivious to how accurate it may be for Kuran

Afterwards, he flopped down on his bed and hugged his Ankylosaurus. He was to tired for reading

Yuki startled awake from the loud bang and ended up falling off his bed. With a groan he blinked warily, wiping drool off his mouth with his sleeve.

After about two minutes of trying to untangle himself from his sheets, he exited his room, pink strands of hair sticking up everywhere on his head.

"Thanks." He said sleepily, grabbing his own plate of food. Not that he would ever admit it to the other male, but his cooking always tasted delicious.

He sat on the couch next to Kuran and began eating his food. He wanted to ask about the cut but didn't want to bring the mood down. He turned to ask anyways but blinked.

"Well. It seems someone is hungry." He teased, watching his partner wolf down his entire plate.

"Uhm," He began and pointed to Kuran. "How's your.." He trailed off, instead using his finger to point to his chest and make an 'X' in the air.

Yuki finished eating his food while Kuran talked. He was relieved his wound was getting better. But deep down he still felt the guilt of what happened.

He swallowed his last bite of hashbrown before making his way over to the sink. "I mean, If the school actually cared they would probably restrict us." He started and joined Kuran in helping his clean the dishes.

"But it wouldn't be fair if they didn't restrict other students too. Since we're ahead of everyone else, we technically had the best chance to win." He paused. "If it was one of the lower students they probably woulda' died."

He turned to look up at Kuran and saw that his eyes were closed. He was about to snap and ask if the dumb hedgehog was even listening when his eyes found the glass he was holding.

"Wha-?!" He whacked Kurans arm. "Did you just break a glsss?!"

It wasn't completely broke, but it did have a crack going down the side

Yuki shook his head at the question and watched Kuran walk into his room. He picked up the cracked glass to inspect it. Did he really squeeze it hard enough to break?

It didn't look like there was any glass broken but just in case he threw it away. A tiny glass shard cutting your throat would be a sucky way to die. He preferred death by bathtub.

The knock on the door made Yuki jump, but Kuran opened it before he could. His eyes followed the raven with concern.

Luckily, it was just the nurse.

When addressed he looked over at her. He didn't want Kuran to be angry at him by telling her. What was he supposed to say anyways? 'Aha ha, I'm fine. Just kinda worried cuz' my friend nearly crushed a glass in his hand then proceeded to down pain killers.'

He forced a smile. "I'm fine!" He said then pointed at Kuran. "Just kinda worried, think he has a bad headache." He said instead

Yuki watched the interaction with a frown. He slightly waved goodbye at the nurse and turned his attention back to Kuran, where he laid groaning like a zombie on the coach.

"I'm staring at you cuz' I'm worried, idiot." Yuki replied. "And you're making noise."

He entered his room and retrieved the soft plaid patterned blanket he brought from home. He returned to the living room before dropping it on Kuran.

"My mom gets migraines a lot." Yuki said quietly and entered the kitchen area. "So, she always drinks tea and watches soap operas until she falls asleep." He said with a soft smile as he started to boil some water.

"Earl Gray or Chai tea?" He called over his shoulder. He nodded at Kurans answer before getting the tea leaves to steep.

"I'll try to be more quieter today."

After a minute or two he brought over the tea to Kuran before making pouring himself his own cup. "No need to thank me! Can't have my partner feeling all sick." He gave a grin.

He turned his attention back to the kitchen and cleaned up some of the tea leaves and water he spilt.

When he turned back around he saw Kuran had fallen asleep holding the tea cup. He gave a soft huff and raised an eyebrow.

He softly took the cup out of his hand and set it on the coffee table so it wouldn't spill.

"What an idiot." He mumbled quietly before heading into his own room to retrieve a book.

He returned to the living room and silently sat down on the opposite side of the coach.

The only sounds in the room were the low murmur of the television and the sounds of pages being flipped as he delved back into the world of H.P. Lovecraft.

A few hours later, Yuki felt like he was dozing off himself. He was awoken by movement on the couch.

Yuki groggily looked over at Kuran when he heard his name. But something seemed..off. It was dark in the room so he couldn't see his face, but his voice sounded strained.

He watched the shadow of Kuran walk to the bathroom and shut the door. Did he not see him on the couch with how dark it was?

He waited a few moments in thought before setting his book down on the coffee table. Slowly, he made his over to bathroom.

He quietly knocked a couple times. "Kuran? You good?" He questioned, a bit of worry etching his voice

Yuki squinted at the taller man. He didn't move out of the way of the door. Instead, crossing his arms and staring up at him. He wasn't dumb, he knew something was up.

Okay, maybe he was a little dumb. But at least he was kinda observant

Yuki didn't answer the other man's question, just continued to stare. He searched Kurans face for a sign that something happened. The only thing he seemes to notice was the tired eyes and pale face.

"You've been acting weird lately.." Yuki started, never taking his eyes off Kuran. Sure, Kuran would get moody from time to time before, but it would mainly be from Yuki pissing him off. He seemed like he started acting like this after..

"Did something happen during the fight you're not telling me?" He questioned. His face was uncharacteristically serious.

Yuki seemed to deflate at his answer. He didn't say anything else to Kuran. Instead silently watching him retreat to his room.

"Am I that untrustworthy?" He asked quietly to himself. He knew he was loud and mean sometimes but he wouldn't judge someone when it was something serious. Especially not his partner. Even if he didn't like the dumb guy.

He quietly turned off the tv and brought Kurans discarded cup of tea to the kitchen. It was cold now anyway.

He eventually made his way to his own room in an attempt to get some more rest. The mood felt solemn.

Yuki sat in class next to Kuran, drumming his fingers on the desk. He had pretty much given up on asking what was wrong considering he never got an answer out of him.

"Same, dude." Yuki sighed as the teacher walked in. Apparently, they were trying something new. At least it was better than sitting here.

Yuki trailed after Kuran and the other classmates. "Well, we'll see how it goes." He shrugged and looked around outside. He remembered the last time they had done something outside the classroom.

He gave a chuckle and judged Kuran. "If we do good, do you think those guys will try and fight us again?" he kicked one of the rocks lying around the field

He turned his attention to the teacher when he started to explain instructions
