"Eww. Why would they want their bones displ-" He was cut off after a sharp nip on his ear from Thorn. "Different wolves have different rituals, Ring. We're going to the Outermost, and we'll pass many different animals and other wolves."
-
Willowkit decided not to waste her time on the other kit, but helped Silverkit instead, leaping to claw at his flank from behind.
-
Shinetip smiled from her branch, her gray eyes shining as her name-sake.
-
Ring almost tripped over his own paws. "Outermost? Aren't there monsters and fire wolves and...more monsters?" "Ring....just....be quiet...." "Whats that?" Ring and Thorn stopped as a strange scent wafted towards them.
-
"Have you lost your mind! Poppy seeds at a time like this can harm both the queen and the kits! We need to give her yarrow or...or SOMETHING!" Featherpaw yowled in horror.
-
Thorn frowned. "Whatever it is...it's probably farther away." Ring could tell that her voice was shaking from fear....for himself, maybe?
-
OOC: We can leave it, but maybe one of the kits die or something?
Featherpaw sighed and parted her jaws.
-
Thorn waved her tail signaling Ring to stop, while she found a mouse near one pile, swiftly killing it, instantly regretting it when she saw Loki bowing. Maybe this place is sacred or something.... she thought, her hackles raisingIt certainly does have..an aura around it.
-
Shinekit choked back a scream. Her 'sister' was sharing tongues with a ghost! She knew telling anyone else would just get her sent to the medicine den, so she ran back to camp, trying to keep her breath steady as she waited for Shadowkit to return.
-
"W-Where have you been, Shadowkit?" she asked slyly, looking as innocent as she could.
-
Thorn felt a sudden attraction to a smaller group of bones, hidden behind a larger pile. She shooed away two ravens perching on what appeared to be a rib. "Ravens... never a good sign." She growled under her breath.
-
"Oh I don't know, you kind of smell like fresh pine needles and.... another cat?
-
"Of course not Phantom! We just.... are really.... different." She stuttered, not sure how to word her connection to the bones. She craned her neck to see Ring holding back, his own lips curled back in a silent snarl. "I don't like 'em." He whispered, almost to low to hear. "What?" "I said I don't like them!" he howled.
-
Shinekit hissed. "You have a secret, don't you? Mother's still on my side, so don't forget that too soon!" She said, swatting a paw at Shadowkit's nose.
-
Ring ran back after him, throwing a quick glance back to his sister, who didn't chase either of them, but instead crouched before the bones, which disgusted him deeply and made him want to retch.
OOC: Roleplay sure has slowed down a lot.... what happened to the days when I would log in flooded?
-
Shinekit stepped back in suprise. Secrets? she thought, All of them? She hesitated before following.
-
Shinekit only stared in a shocked silence, and for the first time in her life, she felt a twist in her belly- that was pure envy. She had lived a sheltered, open life, and her only secret was probably that she had a crush on one of the younger apprentinces. "I-I can have my own secrets, even if I have to make one myself!!" She yowled selfishly, and ran into the forest, hiding under a log and breaking down into tears.
-
"Hey Phant." Ring barked, coming up behind him. "What really happened to ya?" He asked with puppyish curiousity.
-
(I'm going to find someone else to roleplay with us. Do you know anyone?)
Shinekit whimpered again. She didn't like being told that she was wrong in anything, but she stopped crying after hearing Shadowkit speak about her own life.
