I haven't played the first two games, but I've played Unwound Future, Last Specter, Miracle Mask, and the crossover, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

That looks so adorable!
I also prefer adding a bit shading to other areas, other than the eyes. There's also some loose pixels around the border.
