Sunless fought hard. She really did. She fought hard to keep the darkness from spreading throughout her mind and soul and heart, seeping through her being and drowning her in shock and frustration and longing and sadness. She fought hard to keep the tears back, to swallow the short, whimpering sounds in her chest.
But she lost her battle.
When one tear escaped from her dark green eyes and rolled down her face, its brethren soon followed.
She was soon crying, racking with sobs, fighting for breath and enlightenment and light and most of all, fighting to keep quiet.
She was a mistake. Extra. The apple chosen by Eve to disobey God. A flaw in the perfect scheme of a swindler.

She sobbed almost silently, occasionally, accidentally, letting out a whimper that fought its way out of her throat. She didn't want to bother anyone with her crying, to burden and 'torture,' in her mother's very words, others with her presence.
She sat there, crying, realizing she had no room anymore, now that Yunie had refused to let her in, and deep in the kit's heart here was a longing for someone, anyone, to come and offer her comfort.
