Sunlesskit had been bored; there weren’t many things to do, now that everyone was focused on the proclan captures that had been happening. She was walking down the hallway, bored, when she saw a flash of fur by the window. Curious, she climbed onto the window sill and looked outside. Monkeys! There were monkeys walking around camp with colorful strings! She hurried to get outside and ask what it was about. Maybe there was an event where everyone who had a monkey body changed into one? She ran down the hallway outdoors, not quite looking where she was going, and tripped over the maze of threads beneath her paws. Tumbling, she was soon tangled in multiple colored threads, struggling to get out. A pink thread was in her mouth, and it tasted horrible. She clawed her way out, although she tied the ends of the same- colored threads together so as not to mess up whatever this event was. It must be an event, she decided, and carefully picked her way through camp, looking for the clan member that was responsible for the event. She spotted Mark just as he thanked the monkeys and started announcing the event. Sunless twitched her ears, listening closely. A game? Oh yay, she had something to do. She concentrated on the thread colors, which were so mixed up they were starting to make her dizzy. Red, blue, orange, white, purple, yellow… all kinds of colorful threads were decorating the DarkClan camp. She giggled. They were such a bright anticlan.
“I’ll try,” she called to Mark. After some consideration, chose a dark green thread the same shade as her wide eyes and started to follow it. “All we have to do is follow the strings, right?” She carefully started to pick her way through the mess. She wondered if she would be able to keep the eggs that she found, but decided she would find now and ask later. She was so concentrated on tracking the thread that she bumped right into a tree that was in her way. “Oof,” she grunted, backing away from the tree. She blinked a few times to clear her head. Now, where was that thread? Looking down, she realized she had strayed from the dark green streak she had been following. Sighing, she carefully picked her way back to the place where she had started, looking for the dark green thread. Losing the thread once only made her more determined to find the egg it led to. She searched, eyes narrowing with concentration.
Finally, she found it, a dark green thread the same color as her eyes. Grinning proudly, she followed it, keeping one paw on it so as not to lose it again. She walked along, keeping a sharp eye out for the egg, and began to hum while searching. As she looked around, she saw a flash of white- maybe a bunny? But it didn’t move, no matter how much she stared at it, and the more she stared, the more it looked like an egg. Wait a minute. It was an egg! Sunlesskit, forgetting the task at hand, bounded over, finding the white egg before remembering the color she wanted. Sighing, she went over to where she was when she spotted the white egg. Luckily, she found the greed thread and continued walking along, holding the white egg in her mouth and keeping one paw on the thread
