Slumberingpaw had been doing what her rude name intended her to do, sleep. The shecat wasn't that lazy, but figuring the rules forbid Tumbleweeds (even awesome ones like her) or Courier Trainees to go too far away from the Heap of trash they called home, there wasn't much for the shecat to do.
She stood and padded out of the small cardboard box she'd been sleeping inside and trotted towards the deputy, wondering what adventure he had planned for today. Not likely she'd be able to come along; too small and useless in battle or hunting. |

Slumberingpaw sat in the sun at the bottom of the heap. Her intense violet eyes drowsy and unfocused. Sharpclan, the clan of the Heap, the clan with so many semi-hps, it was her home and always would be.
But she couldn't help thinking of something beyond Sharpclan, thinks like her parents and siblings. Where they really kittypets? They couldn't be, it was impossible. But she'd never had any real parents to speak of, or any siblings really.
But did that mean she was a lazy kittypet, just because so many factors pointed that her family where lazy kittypets?

"Anyone wanna like, spar?" The small shecat called out. She wasn't sure if Oakstar would approve, but she didn't really have a mentor so she needed all the battle training she could get, besides, she would keep her claws sheathed. |

Slumberingpaw's jaw was set, her mind was ready. Her creamy fur was bristled and her violet eyes intense with rage.
A small raccoon - not more then a baby, really - but still deadly raccoon stood in front of her, growling protectively. It was protecting a small den in which it'd settled, and now Slumberingpaw had gone off to fight the blasted thing.
She was small, and she didn't doubt it would be a bloody and possibly fatal fight for both the raccoon and her, but she took stupid chances and told nobody about them, it was just her nature.
She launched herself at the raccoon, snapping at its neck and trying to end the battle quickly. The raccoon was ready for her and dodged, but not before Slumberingpaw could grab its tail and leave a bloody mark where she'd bitten down on it.
The raccoon flung itself at her, snapping and thrashing and trying to kill the pest of a cat. Slumberingpaw felt jaws lock on her left hind leg and she let out a yowl, snapping down on the raccoon's neck. It thrashed around as she held its neck steadily, killing the beat.
Slumberingpaw dropped it to the ground once the thing was good and dead, before starting to groom her left hind leg where the raccoon had snapped its teeth on her, but she was otherwise unharmed. But she had ended the battle quickly, so it wasn't to be expected that she would have millions of battle scars from it. |
