Altrayan's feet were beginning to feel tender from all the walking she had done in the past few hours, but she ignored it. Really it was nothing but a nagging discomfort in the back of her mind, something that could be easily brushed off. Compared to the hikes she had done in the past, this small scouting mission was small potatoes. Only a couple hours out, and the same amount back. She had travelled for days at a time before, stopping only to eat and rest when necessary.
A look at the sky told Altrayan that it was time to sharpen her eyes and look for a possible place to make camp. Coming out of the mountains increased the number of thicker trees and undergrowth, and there was also a small creek dancing to the right of the she-cat. Anywhere around here would be ideal, really. There was enough cover to conceal a large group of cats in darkness (or, it was better than camping out in the open). The stream would provide fresh, cool water after their day of travel, and water also meant that prey was nearby.
The Bloodclan warrior nodded her head ever so slightly, glad that the area would provide everything essential for a night or two's stay. Altrayan silently scaled a tree next to the creek and was pleased to find it sturdy and the branches easy to perch on. Before descending, her gold eyes flashed around landscape, drinking in the information. Finally, she leaped down to the lowest branch and then onto the ground, almost noiselessly. Another quick cursory glance around the area and she took off, southbound for Bloodclan. Her spirits, as well as her energy were revived, and she was ready to report back to Solarstar. And if any cat happened to stumble across her path... well she was ready for that, too.
