"Stop saying that! You will survive!" Blood covered his paws. The cut in her neck wouldn't stop bleeding.
"I'll go get moss. You'll be okay. Everything will be okay." He started to run, but he heard a faint voice.
"Goldenpaw, we both know I'm going to StarClan. Please stay with me." He came back, and didn't argue. The tom snuggled up to his mate.
"I love you. Forever." Ferretpaw forced a smile, and struggled for breath.
"Please, no! I love you! Please stay!" It was too late.

"Would you stop calling me a kit!? I'm as old as you are!" Possumpaw hissed. She ignored Snowpaw's warnings, and jumped towards the next dog. She jumped on it, and held on tight as it jumped around. Pain seethed through her back paw as it kept hitting the dog's back. Two more came out of the bushes.
Possumpaw climbed up the dog's back, and gave it a big bite on its neck. She slid off, and slit its stomach, blood pouring onto her face.

The dog fell to its side, and whimpered. She left it, it was going to die anyways.
She nodded at Featherwish's question, and turned to face the growing army of dogs coming through the bushes. There were at least five, too many for the three cats. One was small, and didn't pose a threat. They would have to work together, though, if Snowpaw would let them.

Possumpaw felt bad, but she was glad she said what she did. She didn't say anything to Snowpaw, just glared back at her.
Two dogs ganged up on her, but one was small. Everything would be okay. She cut the big one's nose, but it didn't respond. No yelping, no growling, not even an angry look. That scared her more than if he had done those things.
The little dog nipped her tail, and the apprentice turned around and slashed at its eye. The claw grazed its eyelid, and the dog ran away, yelping.
