[font=georgia] Acornkit grinned with all his teeth at Candypaw's reply. TidalClan - he could only assume that was someplace with a big body of water, especially since all of the cats from there seemed to look perfectly made for such a territory. "Like I said before, welcome!" He purred. "I've never tried candy before, but I've heard its pretty sweet. And also dangerous if you eat too much. I wonder if they have any here - have you ever tasted any before?" He asked the apprentice, lighting up when the announcement was made that the food was open.

[font=georgia] Though his legs were sore from running, Acornpaw was more energized than he had been in his entire life. The more he hunted and worked, the less likely it was that he would have issues sleeping - and he certainly had moved around quite a bit the day before. Things in his life were finally picking up speed, evolving into more beautiful and open possibilities. He was still grateful for lazy days, though, since he truly didn't feel like romping about too much now.
The young tom scoured the Camp with his eyes for someone to talk to. He had so many cats he considered friends now - Lilypaw, Ententepaw, Sweetkit, and even Icepaw made it onto his list. With his mood dancing, Acornpaw noticed a kitten sitting a little ways from the medicine den. He saw her a couple times around Camp, though he hadn't properly met her much. What was her name again, anyhow? Poemkit? Riddlekit - no that wasn't right.
Ah, Rhymekit. Acornpaw padded towards her, about to mewl a cheerful greeting when he noticed the tears forming in her eyes. He paused for a moment, then he went forward, deciding to just be a little more tactful than that. "Hello. I'm Acornpaw, I don't think we've met before. Are you doing alright?" He asked, trying to tone down the bursts of energy coursing through him.
-
[font=georgia] Excited because of the apprentice's willingness to teach him, Acornkit eagerly followed the instructions, attempting to rise up on his back legs and copy the move. However, he really didn't have all that great of balance, and he ended up on his back with his belly face the air. "Oof!" He grunted, laughing at his failure. The tom shook it off, grinning broadly. "A lot harder than it looks." He purred, admiring Icepaw for his excellent balance during the move. "Let's try this again." Acornkit once again threw his weight on his hind-legs, managing to rear up for a couple seconds with mildly sloppy form while striking at the air. It felt pretty amazing.
"This is so cool!" Acornkit squeaked, swiping his paws in the air a couple times. "I can't wait to be an apprentice! Will you show me a hunting crouch, too?"
-
((I know, but Acornkit doesn't know it ;) ))
-
[font=georgia] Acornkit sort of stared at it, the rain falling into his eyes. "Uhh." He answered intelligently, padding a little closer. "We could... try grabbing onto it with our claws, then taking out one paw and putting it in a little higher or something." He mewed, unsheathing his tiny claws and vertically jumping at the tree. The bark immediately sent impact up his limbs, the slick surface making it intensely hard to grip it. Determined not to fail, the little tom tried exactly what he had suggested, pulling out his forepaw and placing it a bit higher. Acornkit gritted his teeth, straining to pull himself up. At least this was going better than his other attempt.
The tom continued in this fashion for a few seconds until he reached a low branch. The plate-sized leaves dribbled water onto his head, soaking the already drenched fur. "Come on up! I'll help you when you get close." Acornkit called, inching into a drier area.
-
[font=georgia] Acornpaw began to feel more and more awkward, his eyes trailing of her strange-looking legs. So... she couldn't walk or something? The tom swallowed kind of hard, leaning down sit next to her. He knew it probably wasn't a good idea to give her a comforting touch or something, since he just met her. Rhymekit's sob made a hand twist over his heart that he wasn't aware had been there - he was actually feeling kind of sick now, come to think of it. Acornpaw glanced at the bodyguard approaching, giving a faint wave of his tail before turning back to Rhymekit. "Hey," He mewed softly, his eyes meeting hers. "How can I help you here?" He asked, not sure what else to say.
-
[font=georgia] Acornkit watched with admiration as Lilykit just went for it and tried his stupid idea. He silently cheered her on, about to open her mouth and congratulate her on making it up when she slipped. His heart fell into his stomach, and he felt as if he was hit by a ton of rocks. Her name bounced off his tongue, and he prepared to dive for her when - she caught herself. Shaking slightly, Acornkit looked down, eyes wide as she made her way besides him. "N-nice catch." He mewed, forging a smile on his face. "A-are you okay?"
-
[font=georgia] The tom's expression didn't change a bit, refusing to let his eyes wander around Rhymekit's spine. He was hardly an apprentice himself, and he knew he knew nothing about the world. Yet he couldn't help but feel a visceral urge to somehow help this kit. Not to fix her, but to somehow raise her spirits. Acornpaw was lucky - incredibly so. He wasn't going to wipe that in her face, and he wasn't going to be able to fix her legs.
"I do see." He agreed, nodding. "I'm not going to pretend to understand your situation here, because I don't. I really don't, and I'm sorry. And you totally have the right to yell at me and be upset and whatever - but you don't need my permission for that, either, 'cause we're basically strangers and - and - I'm really sorry." Acornpaw winced at his words, and he shook his head, hard.
"But I've heard you like poetry? Can you - maybe tell me one? I've never, heard a poem before. I mean, I've heard songs but - can you, maybe..." He kinda trailed off, sighing. "I can get some fresh-kill, or water, if you want it, too." Acornpaw mewed.
-
[font=georgia] Acornpaw glanced towards Icepaw, his mouth pressed into a straight line. The horror and anguish on the other tom's face felt somehow distorted to his eyes, though he couldn't quite explain it. He just knew that Rhymekit shouldn't be the one explaining and comforting Icepaw when she was trying to put up against her own tidal-wave of grief. Still, he supposed that Icepaw meant well and that Rhymekit maybe needed to talk about her own experiences. Maybe it would help her cope.
On the term of the topic, he stared at her with solemn eyes, knowing she probably would rather answer Icepaw's question instead. "Anything you feel like." He replied, ducking his head.
-
[font=georgia] Acornkit winced a little at Xadakit's question, his cheeks heating up. "As it turns out, this was a result of my inability to climb." He mewed, chuckling a bit. "I was trying to go up a tree but... it didn't really work out. That's why I want to learn how, so that it doesn't happen again." The tom nodded, shifting his injured joint around and turning back to Fireflypaw to see if he was interested in teaching them.
//rushed.

[font=georgia] Acornpaw padded through the entrance to camp, a thin gash ripping across his flank. He had expected his first solo hunting mission to go a little better, but unfortunately, he had underestimated the claws of bunnies. And their strength. And their speed. At least, he reflected, he didn't get cut somewhere else. The tom shook some stray dirt off his pelt, a wry smile on his face. Being an apprentice certainly was more exciting than he thought it would be.
The lithe WindClanner looked up for a group to talk to, knowing there was always one around. Seeing the little group of random strangers, Acornpaw made his way towards them, smiling lightly. "Evening, everyone. Anyone have any tips on how to hunt rabbits?" He asked with a laugh, licking the spindly wound on his side.
-
[font=georgia] Acornkit let his eyes roam back to the world around them, a sense of peace rolling over him like a gentle tide. The soft murmur of the rain hissing on the branches of the trees made the whole thing seem surreal - as if he was watching from a million miles away instead of right here. The tom turned to Lilykit, surprised at how close together they were on the limb. He hadn't realized how short of one it was, and he found he really didn't mind it, either. There was nowhere he would rather be in this moment.
"It is." He agreed with her comment, shivering a tad. "I can only imagine what it would be like to look down at the world from the mountain, or from the sky. Have you ever wished to be a bird before, Lilykit?" Acornkit asked, his gaze glued to the rips of clouds between the gaps in the tree.
-
[font=georgia] Acornkit was certain at this point that the burning on his cheeks was visible. Xadakit's remark made him feel just a tad uncomfortable - though he loved seeing the good in other cats, he wasn't really sure what he was supposed to do with compliments. They made him feel warm and squishy inside, while at the same time kinda sweaty on the outside. He decided to just go with a classical answer to that. "Thanks." He replied, grinning lopsidedly. "It - it wasn't such a bad fall. I mean, not really. But - um, thanks." Acornkit mewed.
When another cat entered the scene, Acornkit jubilantly padded towards them, his ears perked. "Yeah, of course! I don't think we've met before - I'm Acornkit, what's your name?"
-
[font=georgia] Acornkit listened to the she-cat's answers with rapt attention, questions flashing through his mind at her every sentence. For instance - what was a 'house?' Or a 'village'? Or a Harabro- or had it been Haribo? And a ship - Acornkit loved the feel of all these new words on his tongue, the way you had to pull and push them out. He hoped that he could travel one day, if only to learn these new terms.
The cocoa-pelted kitten thought about her inquiry for a moment, trying to find a way to sum up his immense love for the land of his Clan. "Well, its like - hmm." He paused, rolling his head around for a moment. "We all live among these big mountains. There are these little things, like deep sideways bowls - caves, that is, that we sleep in. In the winter, the ice freezes over them, and makes it look as if they were covered with stars. And we've got the forests to explore around us, and the big old moors, and this one cabin far away, too. It's like, if you took a touch of some of the most wonderful things in the world, and blended them into one place, that would be WindClan." He mewed, smiling.
"We don't have any islands or big places of water, though, which is really too bad. I would love to see it one day - your home sounds amazing." Acornkit stretched his back a bit, looking up at the she-cat. "Wanna go get some food with me?" He suggested, nodding towards the various items by the table.
-
[font=georgia] Luckily for him, Acornpaw had not decided to stay up tossing and turning with excitement the night before. It would have been easy to let his mind take him on a two hour tangent, to let himself run about and jump with ecstatic joy at his circumstances. But instead, the tom had walked into the apprentice's den - the apprentice's den, he could hardly believe it - and he forced himself to shut his eyes and grasp a few moments of sleep. Otherwise, he would have been drunk with exhaustion and adrenaline. The combination had never worked for him before, that was for sure.
Acornpaw nervously licked his chest fur, pacing around the Camp even though it was the brink of the morning. He doubted he had ever gotten up this early before willingly, but he was ready to do it again and again for what was to come. Taking a deep breath, he began looking around with a slight tremble in his jaw for his mentor - who just so happened to be the cat that Acornpaw respected most in the Clan. If there had ever been any hesitation about his future, it had all evaporated now.
-
[font=georgia] Acornpaw's jaws gaped open, curling his paws on the heated rocks below. The buds in the trees burst into colorful spirals, painting the world in a thousand hues. He was beginning to understand why some cats loved to look at the sunsets in the evening, or the flight of a bird in the wake of the morning. More than ever, Acornpaw was learning to love the world around him - with every fiber in his pelt and soul. The tom focused for a moment, closing his eyes to take everything in. And that was when he heard the wail for help.
Acornpaw immediately tensed up, his ears swiveling to hear where the noise was coming from. He took a breath, making sure he was going in the right direction, then he burst towards it with all the speed he had, his legs unfolding like a bow. Making sure not to do something stupid like stumble over a root, the apprentice hurried through the territory, finally stopping when he saw a tabby cat sprawled on the ground.
His eyes widened as he realized she was a queen, and there was blood everywhere meaning - meaning - and Lilypaw was here, too, he saw. If there was one cat (besides a medicine cat) that he would want to be here now, it would be her. At least that was something good about the situation, he supposed. "What's going on? Is something going wrong? Should I get the Medicine Cat?" Acornpaw asked, concern written on his face as he looked up at his friend.

I need a medicine cat
What are the injuries?: A cat is kitting

[font=georgia] I really like this idea. The four high ranking cats could also switch their name out for a number - so, someone would drop their regular name and be Four or Three instead.
-
[font=georgia] Maybe to contradict their whole ideal and everything, they could live in a really scenic area?
-
[font=georgia] Let me know if/when you create this clan, I'd definitely be interested in joining.
