[color=#e0e0e0]Honestly, Ramses was just confused. He padded forward slowly and relaxedly, his brows furrowed. It was obvious that these were ShadowClanners, yelling things at RiverClan, but they seemed to be remaining off the border, so what exactly was their aim? "What are you guys even doing? Are you two moons old? What is this childish bullshit?" he questioned, his bobbed tail flicking. Were they going to attack, or not? Because their poor, uncreative insults such as fish-face were not even remotely offensive.

[color=#e0e0e0]This fucker wants to dual join? the very thought made him feel sick and disgusted. RiverClan and BloodClan may no longer be at war with each other, but that didn't mean that Ramses had to like Jackdaw or be anything other than irritated at the thought that he would have to share his beloved home with somebody so dense. He had to refrain from rolling his orange eyes as he arrived next, watching the maned wolf with a guarded and cold expression. "Jackdaw," he greeted dryly. He would've loved to just start shredding the other canine but sadly that wouldn't be very polite of him, and he was reflecting RiverClan at the moment.

[color=#e0e0e0]"Damn Arcy boy, what in the hell are you doing over the - oh. Would ya look at that." Ramses had just been absentmindedly chattering when he heard Arcanepaw's yelping and hopping, but when he came within view he saw the trap that held the Australian shepherd in place. Ramses would have reprimanded the other canine for not paying attention to where he was going, but the truth of the matter was that Ramses was even more careless in his ramblings and likely would've stepped in the trap himself. He padded forward, sniffing the metal curiously. He'd never seen one before and had no idea how to make it loose its jaws. "Huh. That blows. Know how to get it off?"

[color=#e0e0e0]"It sounds great. We'd be happy to attend," he said as he approached, dipping his head respectfully to the BlizzardClan leader. Those dating events always seemed popular, surely at least one or two RiverClanners would find their way over.

[color=#e0e0e0]Hm, well didn't he look serious? Quite serious for somebody looking to join - though maybe Temuljin was not looking to join. Perhaps he had some other business. Ramses couldn't recognize the scent on him as he padded up to the border alongside his Clanmates, saying nothing for now and simply waiting to see who this was and why they were here.

[color=#e0e0e0]Ramses stretched and yawned, laying down on the floor of Ivy's cave as if he owned the place. He didn't mean to, he just felt comfortable. "Well, as far as demotions go... I've hardly seen Autumnalequinox, or Mark. Maybe shoutouts to Jasper, Kate, and Swedishfish." he paused for a moment, glancing out the cave back to the center of camp. "Promotions... As much as I don't like the guy, Elixir has been around a lot... Perhaps he could be a minnow, but the decision is up to you - being active doesn't excuse his frequently rude behavior towards us, me in particular. I'm not sure about anybody else, except, well. You know." he glanced suggestively in Himiko's direction. Maybe in the last few days he hadn't seen too much of her, but the week overall she'd been dedicated and active. But, he didn't know if two second mates were allowed.

[color=#e0e0e0]Ramses almost thought he were dreaming when he heard Quill's voice among a babble of others in the distance. It took him several long moments to realize that it wasn't just part of the background, and he wasn't imagining it. The dark-hued direhound pricked up his ears and trotted at a brisk pace to where the group was gathered, his ears pricked in excitement. He'd been off digging up hidden bones so it wasn't exactly like his day was being interrupted. "Quill?" he wondered aloud. While once the sight of his brother might have filled him with rage, Ramses had mostly let that go. He still hated Jackdaw openly and would love to rip out the maned wolf's innards, but the rest of BloodClan... well, it wasn't really worth all the trouble - not with the truce in place. He slowed to a stop, examining Quill up and down for a few heartbeats. Looked the same. Honestly, Ramses thought that Quill had been dead, or missing. "Where've you been all this time? I thought it was just me and Duncan left." He began, then realized that Quill likely didn't know. His heart fell a bit and he paused. "Rori's gone. She left over a month ago to join BloodClan... but I don't think she ever made it. Nobody has seen or heard from her." he said solemnly, figuring that he might as well break Quill's heart quickly.

[color=#e0e0e0]"Y'all are some stupid motherfuckers," Ramses chuckled as he approached, his broad shoulders rolling under a shaggy coat. Ramses had been captured before - but that was unintentional. This was some next level trouble. Never before had he seen two animals think that they could take on an entire Clan. He himself was essentially apprentice age, and despite his bull-headed tendencies, somehow had the sense to not try anything like that. Obviously they were going to live - just seemed a little shaken up, so he didn't mind insulting them. Everyone (except for himself, of course) could use a little insulting now and again. It kept things interesting, kept humility in people. The easy grin only lasted a few seconds, however, before it suddenly gave way in a heartbeat to a cold, deadpan stare. His intense orange gaze fixated on each of them in turn. "If I ever hear of anything like this again, it will not end well. You're RiverClanners - you represent the rest of your Clan, as we all do, and I for one do not like being made to look like an idiot. Are we clear?" He barked the last word, taking a step forward. His hackles had risen on end and his ears were flat against his skull, his bobbed tail flagging in the air. The sudden shift in his energy probably seemed a little frightening for those who didn't know that he were simply posturing. After a few seconds he let the growl die in his throat, and let the ragged hair along his nape lay flat again. "Oh. And you. Pony. Watch your damned tone, alright?" he said with exasperation. It seemed that reminding Elixir to remain respectful of his peers was becoming a daily task.

[color=#e0e0e0]"Jahaerys. Nice to see you again, how are you?" greeted Ramses as he approached with his usual big, easy stride. Once more he felt a bit unpolished compared to the king, but tried not to let it get to him. Briefly the direhound wondered if this was about their potential alliance - it had been a while since the terms were proposed, perhaps Westeros had chosen?

[color=#e0e0e0]He had to admit - he had never known Ron all that well. Or even liked her too much, for that matter. It wasn't that he disliked Verona, more that he had never had the desire to get closer to her. On account of the prickly attitude and the drinking. Esca was certainly prickly and she did her fair share of drinking as well, but Ramses had witness Verona in a state of slovenly shitfacedness more times than he cared to recall, and that quickly stopped being cute after the first time. But she was a member of RiverClan all the same, and he was surprised and pleased to see that she wasn't dead. She was one of the last members that had been around since his birth - with the exception of Ivylee. But of late he noticed that the horned leopard had been a bit of a drifter, after Joji's disappearance. It was good that she was alive. He padded up to stand beside Esca, drawn by Ron's scent. "No worries chica, it's just Ron." he assured her, flicking his bobbed tail. "You look like you need a good meal and a nap," he said to the cat, glancing her up and down.

[color=#e0e0e0]He'd always had a soft spot for the cute and fluffy ones - probably Ivylee had put it in him. A few creatures in RiverClan were either calm and adorable, or rough and tough rowdy cowboys. Ramses, although to most he looked like a handsome barrel of nails strung together with barbed wire, fell somewhere in the middle. A stubborn asshole to be sure; but a friendly and relaxed demeanor resided in him most of the time. A lifetime around his Clanmates had also taught him that the small and cute ones were not to be underestimated, which is why he had to subdue a chuckle at Red's initially unimpressed expression as he saw Kate - tiny winged pom. "Welcome to RiverClan, then. I'm Ramses." he greeted. Although some may hate the awkward lapses in silence, Ramses hardly considered them awkward. No amount of awkwardness or embarrassment could make his skin crawl. He'd sit there all damn day next to a stranger, just happy to have some company (or, depending on who you asked, attention.)

[color=#e0e0e0]Ramses, too, bore his fair share of scars - though all almost all were from battle. A few here and there were from stupid stunts that he pulled, but usually when it came to life-endangering stupidity, Ramses somehow managed to escape unscathed. He was real slick that way - didn't know why, but for some reason he was just lucky. Unlike poor Newt, Ramses's scars were concealed under a shaggy dark coat and therefore not on display, although he probably would have liked it if everyone could see. Would've made him feel tough. Seeing as he hadn't had anything better to do than bother his Clanmates, the direhound got to his paws and made his way over curiously. "Fruit basket? Where's my fruit basket?" He wasn't serious, as usual. Ramses really couldn't care less that he didn't have his own fruit basket - how would she have known anyway? He just liked to complain. Esca ought to be bringing me a fruit basket.

[color=#e0e0e0]All sorts of creatures arrived at RiverClan's border - by land, sea and even air. Some were healthy, some were not, some were sane, some were not - some remembered their past, and some did not. It seemed that this cat fell into the last category, judging by the bewildered and lost expression on her face. The direhound trotted up beside Arcane, glancing the feline over. Her eyes unsettled him - could she see from them? He sat down and flicked an ear, waiting for her reply.

[color=#e0e0e0]"Sam? Hm." Ramses said slowly and thoughtfully as he approached. He had heard the name before, but he couldn't place where - he had a feeling that the emotions associated with it were not positive. Even now he could see that this Sam seemed a little anxious. His tone was quiet, but his gaze jumpy. The direhound slowed to a halt before the group, twitching an ear absentmindedly. It seemed half of him was always off in the clouds. "She'll probably be here soon." he added, forcing himself to return the present.

[color=#e0e0e0]Ramses's initial reaction had been confusion - the way everyone were milling about, it seemed as though Himiko had died or something. But no, there she was, alive as ever, with everyone congratulating her. He sniffed a few times and caught the unfamiliar scent of new babies and looked to Titan in surprise. It was obvious they were his - they were snow leopard kits, after all, but seeing Titan with his shit together like that caught him off guard for some reason. It wasn't as if Titan had ever been irresponsible or anything, but still. Fatherhood? Ramses could hardly picture himself in the same situation and in fact doing so made him feel wildly uncomfortable as few other things could. He padded over to add in his own congratulations. "They're.. ah. Nice and wriggly. Good job."

[color=#e0e0e0]"You ought to apologize for that shitty tone of yours," snorted the large canine, tossing his head. He wasn't exactly sure why, but hearing Esca insulted bothered him. He knew she was more than capable of handling herself, but he had begun to feel as though insulting her, subtly or otherwise, was a right reserved for him and not this strange dog, whoever he was, that just showed up one day. Scared or angry as he might be, RiverClanner that he might once have been - he was a stranger now and Ramses didn't take kindly to his waltzing up and calling people fuckflame. He wasn't too mad about though - fuckflame was a good insult for Esca.

[color=#e0e0e0]In this day and age Ramses was beginning to feel he was out of the loop - he sported no accessories. No bandanas or bows or hats or even necklaces or anything. After he and Quill had gotten into a tiff, his brother's amethyst lay on the wayside. Ramses didn't mind his lack of add ons, though - it was no secret he was more than satisfied with his own appearance. Tall, dark and handsome, he always liked to think - he impressed himself quite frequently and therefore couldn't judge Croc for admiring his own reflection as Ramses wouldn't mind spending a whole day staring at himself. "A crocodile tail and now a hat - I wonder what's next. Coconut bra, perhaps?" Croc did have a love for coconuts - maybe he would look even more dashing with them on his chest.

[color=#e0e0e0]If wealth were measured in finesse, then Ramses would likely be the poorest motherfucker around. He had plenty of muscle to throw around, and maybe on a good day a little brains to go with it, but when it came to concentrating his brawn into something that was anything other than a messy lope or fighting was difficult, to say the least. He was no good at delicately cracking open a crab shell to get the meat inside, or picking his way carefully on slippery rocks. It seemed that he needed to be in a life-threatening situation in order to have any semblance of effective coordination, and building sandcastles was most definitely not a life-threatening activity. "Whatcha got there, Roseycheeks - my future home?" Duncan was a prince, after all - that meant that Ramses was a prince as well, and thus deserved a castle, as all princes should. He flopped down in the sand, making sure that he was just close enough that a few grains would fly into her fur as he displaced the sand. She needed to get dirty every once in a while. He thought it was unnatural that her fur was always so damn white and clean. Croc understood, he knew - his fellow canine was all for getting down and dirty as Ramses was. As he got settled, acting as though he belonged there (as he was apt to do), he glanced over at Dejavu with mild curiosity twinkling in his bright orange gaze. "Didn't catch your name yesterday, sweetheart, what are you called?"
