Shadow looked at Fang. She didn't know what to do. She knew that she cared for him, but didn't know how to express it. Shadow's thick pride always kept her from becoming close to other wolves, she thought of it as weakness. But I know it isn't weakness, for some reason it's just so difficult! Shadow bowed her head and looked at Fang, I think that you would be a good leader. That was the best that she could do, hoping that Fang would take the hint.

OOC: Wolfhawk; you don't have to go to the joining board, just jump right in. But maybe instead of making a new character, Fawn could become the medic. I just think it would be confusing with three characters under one user.

Shadow heard commotion and ran over to see Deagro collapsed on the ground, and a white wolf sniffing over him. She stepped up just in time to hear the white wolf explain who she was. Solstice, said Shadow, If you can help him, tell us what you need.

    OOC: nice

IC: Dusk finished washing and looked to her companions. What else is there to do? She didn't like just sitting around. It made her itchy...

You are welcome in ShadowPack if you wish to stay, said Shadow.
Then she realized the recognition between Fang and Solstice, there seemed to be a sort of fear, but she wasn't sure. Do you two know each other?

Shadow narrowed her eyes, not trusting that she was hearing the whole story. If there is something that needs to be discussed, come to my den. Shadow stalked over to the cliff and stealthy leaped up to the cave that was her den. If they are hiding something, I need to know.

Shadow was lost deep in thought.

OOC: Gotta go shower. be back in about 30 minutes or so (sorry it takes me awhile) Fang and Solstice, wait in my den

Shadow studied Fang and Solstice, taking into account what Fang had told her, and what Solstice had done to help Deagro. She decided what to do, I will make an announcement. you two go sit with the others.

Shadow stepped out of her den and walked across to the cliff. She sat and howled, allowing the pack to gather before her. ShadowPack, she spoke, loud and clear, As you all know, Solstice has helped repair Deagro's broken leg. She seems to be trustworhty, and I welcome her as ShadowPack's medic. She glanced at Fang. But I was given information contradicting Solstice's loyalty. For now though, Solstice will be watched and observed until a decision is made.
Eyes brightening, Shadow's gaze surveyed the wolves sitting below. That aside, Deagro, Lucian and Fawn have brought back a large elk. You have all worked hard, and now, let us eat.

Shadow leaped down the rocky cliffside and gathered her wolves around the prey. She took the first bite, signaling the others to do also.

Dusk was puzzled. Ice? but it's the middle of newleaf. Where could we possibly find ice?
Though, as Dusk thought about it, ice would sooth her dry throat. She hadn't anything to drink sinse her unexpected swim, and she was parched. If Wicked really could find some, that would be great.

Shadow aknoleged Deagro woth a nod and looked at the near finished dens. Yes, she said, But there is still a little work needed to be done. The outsides of the dens are complete, but I will need to check the insides. I'm sure there is a forgotten pile of dirt here and there, and we still need nests to sleep in.

Finished eating, Shadow took a few pawsteps away and sat, wiping a paw over her muzzle. She waited for the other wolves to finish so they could join her.

Dusk raised a brow, she didn't quite believe in legends like the one Wicked had just told her. But she did believe that it was possible to find some ice in the back of a cold cave. Yeah, ok Wicked. If you say so.

Shadow noticed Raphael staring at her, and she turned to face him, eyes narrowed. See something you like? she mocked. She looked away, uninterested.

Then Shadow saw Lucian acting as if he was alpha, competing with the others over the meat, and looking at them with disgust. Is he threatening my authority? Shadow narrowed her eyes. If this behavior persists, I might just have to put him in his place.

Shadow watched as Raphael walked away, offended. She lay her head down and yawned. Some wolves just can't take a joke.

OOC: Got it. I went back to edit the post a little. BRB, gotta eat dinner.

IC: Shadow walked over to Raphael and Soulchaser. I think this den is complete now. We just need a patrol to go out and collect material for the nests.

Shaodw watched as the two ran out of camp, and shook her head. She hadn't even told them what materials to get. When Raphael and Soulchaser came back and were laying out the moss, Shadow poked her head inside the den. You should probably gather leaves to line the entire den, then put moss and grass to make the individual dens softer.

Shadow looked at Lucian, True, but I will check all the lining that comes in. We really only need it in the medic den and nursery, so they can be comfortable.

She glanced at the sky moments before thunder struck, and soon both wolves were pelted with rain.
We need to save the prey, she barked at Lucian. Help me cover it up. Shadow trotted over, movements slowed by her full belly, and began to dig a small hole next to the elk.

OOC: Alright, alright, no grass or leaves.

IC: Once the elk was lowered into the hole, Shadow began pawing dirt over it. Once that was finished, she looked up to see large cumulonimbus clouds covering the sky and blotting out the sun. She scented the air, That storm's going to last all night, barked Shadow, trying to make herself heard. Everyone get into the subcordinate den. It's big enough for all of us, we'll have to sleep there tonight.
Shadow lead her pack to the base of the cliff and into a cave located at ground level.

Shadow watched as her wolves filed into the tiny opening, and she went in last. Shaking out her blue-black fur, she helped Deagro settle down in a small patch of moss. She sat and addressed the pack, The storm should be over by morning. Then, looking around, noticed one of the wolves missing. Where's Jason?

Shadow shook her head and lay down to sleep. Jason would come back if he wanted to.

Sleep didn't come easily. Wind blew into the cave entrance, chilling Shadow and keeping her awake. The constant boom of thunder also disrupted her sleep. Frustrated, she sat up and began to groom her fur.

Shadow awoke to hear someone slipping out of the den. Not remembering when she had fallen asleep, she stretched and followed Raphael out into the clearing. Shadow heard a yowl and glimpsed Raphael's tail disappearing. She pelted after him and heard more yowling. Shadow found Samantha stuck in a sinkhole of mud. Hold on, she said. We'll get you out!
