    I'm in Australia so for me it's kind of the complete opposite; it's about to be autumn break for me. I've got one more week of school and then my holidays, the two weeks we get, start up. Basically I'm planning to read, sing, fangirl, sleep, eat, roleplay and stay at home. :-)

    MOUNTAINEDGE

    [b]Name - Mountainkit, Mountainpaw Mountainedge
    Gender - Male
    Age - 25 moons
    Alliance - RushingClan
    Rank - Warrior

    Personality - A stubborn, fiery but otherwise social tom-cat
    When you think of mountains you must surely think of something strong, tall, tough sturdy and overall quite stubborn, right? Well if that's what you're thinking then you have described half of Mountainedge's personality quite easily. Stubborn and solid as rock he is also as fiery and fierce as a bushfire, which generally makes him quite a dangerous person to be around. But other than these few things he is actually quite a friendly person, someone who I think deserves to be described in much better detail and depth.

    When you meet Mountainedge one of the first things you are most likely to realise is simply how stubborn he is. It doesn't matter what you're talking about or what situation he is in he is as stubborn as the devil and once his mind is made up you'll be very hard pressed to change it. With this being said though it means that he has a strong opinion on what's right and wrong and shall firmly stick up for what he believes in and what he thinks is the truth. This also makes him a great friend once you get to know him a little more as he'll nearly always defend you and stick up for you. Going hand in hand with his stubbornness though is quite a fiery temper that he isn't afraid to lash out with. If you trash talk him or those close to him you're likely to get it all coming straight back at you; and with such a mix of personality traits it might not go too well.

    Other than these possibly not too good traits you have the better things about him, like how social he is for example. Once you get through his stubborn and slightly fiery ways you come across someone who is really just a good soul. He loves to socialise with others and is generally quite a loud and friendly cat. Another good thing about him is that he doesn't hold a grudge and is normally fairly honest, although he'll tell a few, small white lies if it means no one gets hurt.

    But just like most Maine Coons he is generally quite a witty creature and is quick to work things out when it comes to problem solving or learning something new. He likes to push his limits and find out new things, making quite an extensive list of knowledge inside his head. And although he is smart like most male Maine Coons he is prone to somewhat silly and playful behaviour every now and then; meaning he gets along with younger and more excitable people very easily.

    Appearance - A blue tabby cat with white paws and amber eyes
    In Mountainedge's personality we mentioned something about him being tough and strong, just like a mountain happens to be. And what we said is no lie, he is tough and strong and you can tell by the way he is built and the way that he looks that he is just that. So without any further dilly dallying let me tell you all about just what Mountainedge looks like!

    When you look at Mountainedge the first thing you are most likely to notice is his height; and by that I don't mean that he's small. In reality he is quite the opposite, but that's probably just due to the fact that he's a Maine Coon, which you can see just by looking at him. Just like any other Maine Coon he's still growing and won't reach his full height and size till he's between 30 and 60 moons of age. The build of his body is generally quite a stocky and broad one, with legs of medium to long length that are covered with well toned muscle. He has large and broad shoulders for his head to sit upon and has a big chest with a long body flowing out behind it. The paws that are attached to these legs are round and somewhat rounded with tufts of fur on them, which make them serve as snowshoes of sorts in the winter months.

    A majority of cats, excluding the Sphynx breed of course, happen to be coated in fur unless they've been shaved. Mountainedge, being a Maine Coon, is no different and in fact he has a lot of fur, more than your average cat would have actually. His fur is long, heavy and smooth despite the shaggy appearance that it tends to give you when you look at him. Despite its length and thickness this covering of fur rarely gets tangled and as he cleans it every morning it always looks like its in tip top condition! In colouring most of this fur is what a breeder would call a blue colour with the classic tabby stripes; although to most people it'd be known as a grey coloured cat. This blue tabby fur fades to white at the end and due to this his soft belly is covered in white fur as is his chest and all four of his rounded paws.

    Other than his furry pelt and the stockiness of his body there's a few things we can still explain that are featured on Mountainedge's body. First up we have his eyes, which sit on either side of a salmon-pink nose which is normally slightly damp. These eyes are quite large and would be said to be on an almond-like shape, showing off a lovely shade of amber. Inside this amber there are almost hazel-ish coloured flecks which show up around the black pupil which resides inside her eye. Rimmed in a dark black outline of fur they stand out nicely against his otherwise blue tabby striped body. Whiskers are yet another thing that this tom-cat has on his body and they protrude from his cheeks with a nice, slightly curved, length. In colour they're a ghostly shade of white, just like the colour that cloaks his chest, paws and underbelly.

    History -
    Although his life would be much more interesting if he'd began as a kittypet or someone from another clan and then moved to RushingClan that is not the case. Mountainedge was born into RushingClan and still lives there to this day, being very loyal to his birth clan. But there is a little bit of history to him that we can explain to help you understand him a little bit more.

    His parents were two Maine Coons, both nearing 80 moons when he was born, and they weren't the most agreeable of people. In fact the entire litter, consisting of Mountainedge and two other she-cats, were conceived entirely by accident and were quite unwanted by their parents. With this being said it meant that the couple weren't entirely sweet or caring to any of the litter. Their mother had never wanted them, although their father had and so he'd raped her and forced her to keep quiet about it all. Believing that Mountainedge would end up just like his father, a rapist and a horrible person, the she-cat would take his sisters under her wing and taunt him, encouraging the others to pick on him. Due to this he soon needed to stand up for himself and found himself growing to have quite a temper and he'd often snap right back at his mother and sisters.

    Having to endure this all throughout his life he felt no resentment or regret when his parents and sisters left the clan for new horizons. At this time he was a trainee as was then nine moons of age. Once his family had left the clan life began to look up for the tom-cat a little more as he didn't have to put up with being the backlash of somebody's lack of love. Despite this though he found that although he tried hard to keep it under check he still had a temper ready to flare up, he was as stubborn as a rock and he didn't take well to bullying whether it be directed to him or not. And all of that was because of what had happened to him due to this mother and sisters being absolutely horrid to him whilst they'd been around.

    Like most people though he did get in a reasonable amount of trouble during his time as a young trainee; and the trouble he got into was all over a she-cat. After finding a pretty little apprentice of an enemy clan strolling through their territory he'd soon befriended her and had fallen in-love with her; knowing that it was against the clan rules. One day he was caught hanging out with the pretty little feline and was punished by having his warrior ceremony being pushed back by four moons. Meaning that although he was ready to become a warrior at the age of 18 moons he wasn't one until he was 22 moons old.

    Since all this drama he's been wary of anyone who strays into RushingClan territory, especially she-cats. But this hasn't stopped him from being a little flirty and hanging out with she-cat's in allied groups or within RushingClan itself.

    Hi there!
    Well before I jumped into the roleplay here I really wanted to have an idea of who my character was and more about them than a name, gender and appearance. So I decided I'd make a somewhat advanced biography for them, following, more or less, the guidelines of the average biography on the site. Basically I'd just like some critique on the piece of writing, which can be found ( here. )
    Thanks :)

    ^^ the guide wouldn't be of great help right now as it's a WIP anyway. But they're an AntiClan, although I swear they're bordering on neutral, and there's not a set religion; basically you're free to believe in whatever you want.

    [align=center][font=Georgia]
    A lot had been happening in RushingClan lately; and by a lot the Maine Coon really did mean a lot. For example Foxstar/trot and Capricious had been overthrown, Brokenstar stepped up, named Respectedstar as a co-leader and then they were forced out of their territory by a vicious fire. To make things even worst Respectedstar died, Mockingstar stepping up into the female's spot. And if you don't count that as a lot of action and drama for once clan in just a couple of moons then I don't know what you do call a lot. For Mountainedge alone it had been a lot, even though he was generally pretty good with stressful situations this list of events was pushing it. If something else overly big happened anytime within the next few days then maybe the blue and white tabby cat would snap...

    But that's why he was so relieved when it was only the excited call of a young bear cub and not one of pain, horror or fear that rang through the air that morning. Amber eyes aglow with curiosity the large feline, who was prone to childlike behaviour and enjoyed the presence of the little tackers, soon found himself padding over to take a look. And sure enough there was a sandcastle, tall and mighty in all it's freshly made glory. A friendly smile making it's way onto his maw the warrior would nod in appreciation of Suncub's efforts to make such a castle out of sand. "Well done, buddy!" he would meow genuinely, flicking his tail in appreciation.

    [align=center][font=Georgia]
    The young warrior found himself bounding forward to join the small group with great anticipation; actually quite excited to go flower picking. As he reached the group though Foxtrot herself came padding up, stating that she'd go but she wouldn't be "picking any damn flowers" as she liked to put it. Cocking one non-existent eyebrow towards the ex-leader the blue and grey tabby Maine Coon would simply shake his head and let out a small chuckle at such words. "Oh come on," he would meow, his voice obviously joking as he teased her a little. "We all know you love flowers, Foxtrot. And besides, it's only this once and who else is around to see it. It won't ruin your reputation." Mountainedge found himself saying, just like always maybe he'd gone a little too far; but hey, it was all in good humour though.... right?
