“She looks funny Miss Kari! Where’s her ears and tail, and her fur? She’s got none!” The boy asked curiously.
Faye chuckled. “Well that’s because I’m a human...”
“She looks funny Miss Kari! Where’s her ears and tail, and her fur? She’s got none!” The boy asked curiously.
Faye chuckled. “Well that’s because I’m a human...”
Faye turned to the girl. “A story? What kind would you like to hear?” She asked, taking a seat in front of them.
Faye smiled. “Alright let’s see...once upon a time, there lived a princess who lived with in a kingdom ruled by humans. She lived with her older brother the prince, her mother the queen, and her father who was the king. Now, the princess was young and was often surrounded by battle, fully aware that her kingdom neighbored one that we’re people of a non-human race. One day....things became so tough for the princess and her family as she witnessed her brother, who was her best friend, killed in battle before her very eyes...” Faye stopped there because of tears. She was getting choked up.
Faye nodded, continuing with the story.
“Is there a happy ending?” The boy asked.
“Well, since then, the princess has been training how to fight recently for her brothers honor, but only believes in using her skills for the absolute worst. She hopes that peace will one day be restored somehow and that the fighting will end between the two kingdoms.”
Faye smiled and reached behind her to take off her necklace. She leaned down to place it around the neck of the little girl. “Yes she does because kindness is the first step towards peace.”
She nodded and stood up. “Now you are alike a princess.” She smiled and turned to Kari. “I love this place, but now I’m ready to leave.”
Faye nodded. “Let’s go.” She began to walk back towards the castle alongside Kari. “Thanks for taking me into town.” She said.
Faye stopped st the castle entrance. “Well, I suppose it would be polite to thank him myself then.” She replied, entering inside past the guards.
“I suppose whenever we see him would be best.” Faye replied.
“Well, can you show me around this place?” She asked.
(We can start developing now if you want when she runs into him!)
(Yes we can just do the time skip now)
Faye had awakened another morning. She had been in the kingdom for a few weeks to a month now and had gotten used to life here already. She got herself ready and then made her way.
Faye had made her way into the dining room as well and took her usual seat. She spotted Zyrsu and gave him a polite nod. “Well, you’re looking bright-eyes and bushy-tailed for once.”
She laughed at bit with him for the first time. “Yes...that’s what I meant.” She said as she started eating. “So...um...how are things going?” She asked.
“Well, from what I have seen so far, it sure has been proven to be wrong....the villagers and the orphans.” Faye remarked.
She fornwed at him again. “You do know it’s not just my kingdom’s fault here right?”
Her frown faded after he made that comment. “You think I’m kind?” She asked. She guessed he wasn’t so cold-hearted after all....maybe Kari was right. She should give him a chance and continue to hear him out, maybe even help him as well.
She smiled at him. “Well, that’s nice to know. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman.” She stood up from the table as she said so since she was finished.
“Wait. I am able to assist you if need be.” Faye stated as she got up to follow him.
“Well, why don’t we start with the humans that live here?” Faye said with a smile.
