    I wouldn't call myself a grammar nazi, but I can't stand it when someone has terrible grammar in every post. By terrible, I mean countless incorrectly placed apostrophes, run-on sentences, and improper capitalization (or lack thereof). This is a problem because I play a leader of a clan and I don't want to exclude anyone but I physically cannot bring myself to read a post like that.


    What would you do if you come across someone whose grammar isn't the best? Is there a nice way for me to correct someone's grammar?


    EDIT: Also, should I promote active rpers that have bad grammar?

    SKYCLAN GUIDE AND FAQ

    》HISTORY
    Eight moons ago, StarClan had decided to punish SkyClan. They sent storms and fires across the camp, killing many members of the Clan. The remaining members stayed strong, and tried to keep the Clan together. They succeeded, and StarClan decided it was time to choose a leader. They choose Talonfall, who received her nine lives. Upon coming back to camp, she announced her deputy: Silvereyes. BloodClan had recently attacked SkyClan, and after Skyclan heard the rumor that Bloodclan was attacking the forest Clans, Talonstar agreed to a truce with the forest Clans defend their forest from BloodClan. In preparation for the war, Talonstar announced the medicine cat: Mintyblossom. During the heated events with BloodClan, Silvereyes had been killed.


    Unfortunately, Talonstar passed without announcing a deputy. However, Mintyblossom received a sign from StarClan (a thrush struggling to take flight by Talonstar's den) and proclaimed Thrushflight as SkyClan's new leader. Thrushflight went on to receive her nine lives, and she chose Pollenfrost as her deputy. Mintyblossom also chose an apprentice, Driftingpaw. Sadly, Driftingpaw disappeared shortly after. Pollenfrost and Mintyblossom were captured by BloodClan and in that time, they had a litter between them. The rest of SkyClan does not know of this and believes that their three kits were rescues from BloodClan. Mintyblossom then chose her own daughter, Sparrowkit, as her new apprentice.


    Soon after Sparrowkit became Mintyblossom's apprentice, Mintyblossom was kidnapped by rouges. This left Sparrowpaw as the full medicine cat of SkyClan and she received the name Sparrowheart. Pollenfrost was stricken with grief after his mate's disappearance and left SkyClan, perhaps to look for Mintyblossom. After a whole moon without a deputy, Thrushstar finally chose Whitethroat to be the new deputy of SkyClan.


    [font=georgia]》TERRITORY
    The roleplay is set before the SkyClan left the forest, so their territory is sandwiched between RiverClan and Thunderclan. Part of the Twolegplace was also not built, so SkyClan's territory also extends there. Overall, the territory is heavily forested by a great variety of trees. Willows line the border with RiverClan, and oaks are very common near ThunderClan. There are also many pine trees by which would eventually become the Tallpines. Twolegs have also planted a beautiful small fruit orchard where SkyClan's territory borders the Twolegplace.


    SkyClan's camp is currently being moved due to badger attacks and BloodClan threats. The new camp is mostly above ground to defend it from attacks, since only SkyClanners would be able to access it easily. The wild undergrowth around their camp makes it likely that an unaware stranger would likely pass it off as peculiar twoleg structures.


    The most peculiar feature of camp is the overgrown cottage. While it may be considered small for twolegs, the cottage is more than roomy enough for cats. Because it is divided into two rooms, both the medicine cat and the elders live there. The only way into the cottage is by jumping through a window where a window pane has fallen off, as the door is jammed after decades of disuse. This makes the cottage defend from attacks. Meetings are also held by the leader on the cottage's rooftop, while the other cats gather around it.


    The abandoned tree house is also an important part of camp. It was built my twoleg kits many years ago, and they have outgrown the tree house long since. The warrior's den is in the bottom portion, and the leader's den is in the top attic part. The tree house is more overgrown than shown in the ref. photo and there are no stairs/ladders. A few shorter trees grow beneath the tree house so it is hard to spot unless you are standing directly underneath it.


    SkyClan's nursery is located next to the cottage. It is inside a smaller version of this hollow oak to prevent any kits from accidentally falling out. The opening to the nursery is high on the side of the tree, and thus the first lesson young kits learn is often climbing, because that is the only way out of the nursery. The nursery is perhaps one of the most well-lit dens in camp due to the huge openings on the sides of the oak.


    Lastly, another interesting feature of camp is this tangled tree. There is a hollow area within the branches where the apprentices make their dens. It is not as naturally sheltered from wind as the other dens so apprentices often stuff some of the opening with branches and leaves during the colder seasons.


    》WARRIOR CODE
    I. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
    II. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
    III. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
    (if any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.)
    IV. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
    V. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
    VI. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
    VII. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
    VIII. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
    IX. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
    X. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
    XI. The word of the Clan Leader is the warrior code.
    XII. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.


    ADDITIONAL RULES & EXCEPTIONS

    Leader: The highest-ranking Clan member. Their word is law, and they are responsible for everything that happens in their Clan.
    Thrushstar, played by Macaron.


    Deputy: A warrior who is in second-in-command. They aid the leader with their tasks, and replace the leader after their death or retirement. When the leader is ill or unable to continue their duties, the deputy will temporarily take over, and will talk for the Clan at Gatherings if the leader if unable to.
    Whitethroat, played by Vend.


    Medicine Cat: Cats who treat diseases and injuries. They may occasionally receive omens or prophecies, and are highly respected members of the Clan.
    Sparrowheart, played by Marle.


    Medicine Cat Apprentice: Cats who train under a medicine cat to learn the art of healing and prophecy.

    Yes, of course! You can just make a thread and pretend your character was here the whole time, or make a joining thread!
    Can I play leader, deputy, etc.?
    No, sorry! Those must be earned. However, if you're welcoming and help out with the Clan, you character may be promoted!
    How do I become a high position?
    In the traditional Clans, earning a high position is earned through loyalty, just like in the warrior books. However, if you character is active, helpful, and friendly, those will help, too!
    Does my character have to believe in StarClan?
    No, but it's encouraged to!
    Where's Clear Sky? Or Leafstar?
    This SkyClan is set in an alternate universe, or AU, than the books. Leafstar and Clear Sky aren't here!
