[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:450px;][justify][size=8]the slender german shepherd sauntered to the invisible sunclan border. nostrils flaring as he took in the scent, clarence plopped down on his haunches. big ears swiveled forward as the canine attempted to hone in on any noises. head turning left and right, clare's auburn collar began to jingle. "hmph." he mumbled under his war breath.

QuoteDisplay More[justify][size=8]after days of sleeping on the oriental rug spread across on the second floor, clarence decided to pick a room of his own. being quite new, and new meaning a few days old, many rooms had already become inhabited by much older members. the slender shepherd padded down the long hallway as he rounded a corridor. constantly peering into open doors, clare would exhale an exasperated sigh each time he found the room to be already populated. slipping around another quick corner, the canine ascended another set of stairs. clarence had gone through two floors of tenanted halls, and was nearing his third. trotting up the flight of stairs, clare's ears perked as he barely heard any noises. the shepherd assumed the third floor had cleared, due to every animal doing their daily routines on the first floor or outside.
nails clicking against the wooden flooring, the sable shepherd pushed a few doors open with his wet black nose. listening to the slabs of wood creak open, as the hinges seemed to not be oiled, clarence's nostrils would always be met with the new scent of one of his clan-mates. the corners of his mouth drooped down into a frown as his nonexistent eyebrow slumped over his optics, clare moved onward. reaching a dead end, the canine realized he would have to turn around and take another stairway to the fourth floor. whining like a baby, the sable canine was about to turn when he noticed a blocked doorway. as his interest became piqued, the slender shepherd trotted over to the wooden entrance. attempting to push some moderately heavy crates out of the way, clare aimed to turn the door handle with his jaws.
listening to the door loudly creak on uneven hinges, the canine cringed. clare was met with complete black as a puff cloud of dust made contact with his face. "augh!" he coughed as he accidentally inhaled the particles. repetitively blinked his amber eyes, the canine shook his pelt as he entered the room. squinting his eyes as the hallway light beamed into the darkened room, clare aimed to find a light switch of some sort. shuffling through the abandoned room, the canine soon located a switch. jumping up on his hind legs, his forepaws pressed against the wall as his nose flipped the control upwards. listening to the light fixtures begin to buzz, clarence stepped back encase a bulb blew. watching as the room lit up with a yellow color, the shepherd's jaw momentarily dropped. the room was gigantic! to be exact it was a two floored study with loads of books. gliding himself over to the windows, while stifling a cough due to the dust in the room, clare gripped the window latch between his teeth and rotated it.
hearing a click, the canine pulled the frames inward as a brisk wind buffeted his face. stepping back, the canine repeated the process with the two other windows. noticing one of the three was bigger than the other two. narrowing a brow in inquisition, the canine also took note that this 'window' possessed two door handles. his amber eyes sparkled with curiosity as the doors lurched back and curtains covered with dust blew in the wind. he had discovered an old unused balcony! this room was absolutely perfect! stepping out onto the iron barred extension, clarence gaze below as his head peeked over the edge. as a quirky grin spread across his lips, clare returned to the inner half of the room. glancing up at the spiral staircase that led to the second floor filled to the brim with books, the shepherd knew that he was keeping this room all to himself. sure he was being greedy, but everyone else already had their own quarters somewhere in the mansion. "i claim this room." the canine barked to himself as he walked around his new found bedroom.
