She had finally switched back to her old body from her new one, and had to say she was disappointed. Kynarethkit padded out of the nursery with fast steps, but even running couldn't match the speed and exhilaration of being a Peregrine Falcon. A small giggle escaped her, then another as she sat down next to the entrance and remembered the feeling of flying, then diving at extreme speeds towards the earth. The giggles continued, an unusual thing as the sound didn't normally appear from her maw, while the kit didn't even think about the fact that she might look crazy sitting on the edge of camp and apparently laughing at nothing.

"What? Oh, yes. More than okay - I'm great!" she grinned, looking up to see the tom. Had she met him before? No, she didn't believe that she had. "Hi. I'm Kynarethkit, but call me Kia or Kyne," she introduced herself, tail tip flicking automatically in greeting.

"Well done, but now turn back and try flying," Kyne badgered, tapping one wing against the red kite beside which she sat. It wasn't difficult to identify Nightpaw now, in her old body, even though she was bigger than before.

"It was in pain! I don't want to give others that!" she exclaimed, shivering despite the pain having disappeared with the death of the bird. Kia shook her head in disbelief, a frown appearing as she looked at Artemis. "How do you do it? How are you even able to bear fighting?" Glitteringkit had been right; she hadn't agreed with his hate of conflict before, but now she more than understood it.

It took a moment, but she finally realised what the laughter must have looked like. "There is a reason for that," she said defensively, raising a paw as if in protest against his thoughts, "I have a new body... which flies."

"I've only actually been flying a day or so, but it was easier for me at first to take a running start. When you feel ready, jump and flap your wings, or don't jump. It's up to you but jumping makes it easier. Then, just flap and catch the current," she explained, not very well if she looked back on it. Deciding to demonstrate, the falcon ran forward, then jumped into a fairly even flight for having just one day of practise.

"Yeah. I was on a walk with Artemis when I found myself plummeting from the sky straight towards the lake. It was scary, but I practised and it's awesome," the grin returned and she gave a small sigh, the body of a small feline seeming extremely boring after that experience. "It's a Peregrine Falcon. I wish I could show you."

Kynareth shuffled her wings sheepishly, eyes cast down to the ground. "Sorry, yeah. I forgot that I had trouble too with that at first." She glanced at Artemis, hoping that the jaguar wouldn't say anything about her initial panic.

Kynareth shook her head rapidly, feathers ruffling indignantly, "no! I can't even imagine hurting someone on purpose. Hunting is fine, I guess, if I learn to do without hurting the prey." She shook her head again, this time to dismiss the subject. "Do you have a bird body?"

"Oh. I wanted to practise flying but I'll do that later, then," she focused on her body, supposing that this was how she should get back. It took a moment and a few tries, but after a couple of attempts Kia opened her eyes to a familiar body.

[[I was reading through threads out of boredom and found the Mason/Artemis one. They should really start a hate club.]]

Rainpaw had a power, she was sure of that, but Kia wouldn't let her thoughts go anywhere near Bengaltiger. She tensed all of a sudden, grinding her teeth as she dismissed the thought of the Bloodclan tom and returned to the present. "I heard that powers weren't this popular, once."

"I think the soul went into the pigeon." Kia paled beneath her fur, eyes becoming wide as she looked at Artemis, "I saw this weird thing fly into it when I hit the bird, but we were moving too fast and I did take much notice of it. Does that mean it's dead?" she asked in a small voice.

[[Yay! The discovery of two powers in one. I'm quite low on money now...]]

Where to? That was a good question. Somewhere near camp would be good, where there was less of a chance of her getting caught breaking the rules by leaving. "Behind the nursery?" she suggested, remembering the secret exit, and therefore easy access to the body.
