Leafkit saw shatteredpaw limping up ahead. She ran up to his side. "Hi Shatteredpaw!" She said. "How far is it do you think to the camp?"

Leafkit's eyes widened. her life had been so great lately, she had gone from being a half-dead kit on the border, to an almost apprentice with great friends. How could this be happening? But, as Jayflight said, they should just move on.

Try to stay optimistic, thought Leafkit, maybe the camp will be okay! She smiled. And whatever happens, I'll still become an apprentice when we get back!

Leafkit saw Shatteredpaw tense, and could feel him get upset.

She licked him behind the ears. "I thought about if the camp would be okay or not as well. But I realized, even if the camp is destroyed, we can fix it, and build it up even better than before. And just think. When we get back, I can get my apprentice name, and we can both start our training!" she said, excitedly.

"NO! You will become a warrior!" She said, angrily, to cover up her fear. "And if they don't let you, they'll have to go through me! It'll just take you a little longer, but you'll do it, I know you will." her eyes flashed with determination.

Leafkit's heart dropped as she saw the devastated camp. It was worse than anything she'd imagined. Think positively! She thought. You just told Shatteredpaw we could fix the camp, and we will! And now that we're back, I can get a mentor! I hope Starlightstar remembers...

Leafkit immediately went to work. She ran into the nursery, and returned a minute later dragging an enormous stick in her mouth. "Tiss shtik bwoke troo de top of de nersheree! Whar du ah phut it?" She said, attempting to speak around the stick.

IC: Leafkit dropped the stick and brought Starlightstar to the nursery entrance. The walls were mainly intact, but the roof was a different story.
The tree beside the nursery had toppled over in the storm, and its trunk went straight through the top of the den. Part of roof had collapsed in on itself, with huge branches like the one Leafkit had dragged out poking through.

OOC: I think shatteredpaw should become deputy, but it'll be a while before he even becomes a warrior. so I think someone (Jayflight maybe) should be deputy for now, but then after shatteredpaw becomes a warrior and gets an apprentice, something happens to the current deputy, so that they can't continue to be deputy, and shatteredpaw is chosen to take their place.

Leafkit smiled. She knew Starlightstar would be able to fix it. She looked at the leader with admiration. "Well, let's go get some mud then!"

Leafkit bounded up to Shatteredpaw. "The nursery roof has collapsed, so I'm going to go fill it in with mud. Wanna come?"

Leafkit scooped up some mud in her paws, and proceeded to pat it down, filling in the roof of the nursery.

"Maybe we should put some sticks or grass or something in with the mud to reinforce it. What do you think Shatteredpaw?" Asked leafkit.

ooc: lets just pretend Leafpaw went up and touched noses with Starlightstar.

ic: Leafpaw was speechless. Her mentor was the leader?! It was beyond her wildest expectations. She practically idolized Starlightstar! To have her as her mentor was an unbelievable honour. (<-- lol, I'm Canadian)
FInding her voice at last, she said "I'm honoured to have you as my mentor Starlightstar! What do we do first?" Her ears pricked up with excitement.

Leafpaw padded after her mentor. I can't wait to get started!

ooc: Sooooo... what do you want to be the source of the strange smell?

ic: Leafpaw smelled it too. What could it be? Well, there's only one way to find out! she thought, and she pushed her way through the destruction to look inside the elders den.

Being up close with the scent jolted Leafpaw's memory, back to before she came to Starlightclan.
Suddenly, she was with a tom, a she-cat, and three other kits, two toms and a she cat. Their scents were similar to hers. They must be my parents and my siblings! She thought.

Suddenly, a huge monster erupted out of the trees, belching black smoke and destroying everything in its path... Including her parents. She and her sister and brothers ran into a hollow tree, where they sheltered until the monster passed.

Her memory faded, and reappeared to show what she assumed was a few weeks later. She and her brothers were very weak, and they were burying her sister. Soon, her two brothers became weak and died as well, but for some reason, she carried on.

She walked through the forest for moons, living of what she could scavenge, and the few mice she was able to catch, but soon enough, she too became weak. She persisted on until she could barely walk, and simply fell down, prepared for death. The next thing she knew, she was in a den, it was the medicine den in Starlightclan! Eclipseflare was looking down at her. "Hello? Helloooo?"

Then everything went black, and she was back by the elders den, the cats around her giving her strange looks.

"Oh, I-I, uhhh... Nothing! Nothing! It's-It's just, yeah.. Nothing." Said Leafpaw, looking flustered.

"Wait! I mean no, It's not nothing. I-sorry, I just got a little, yeahhh. Okay, I just had a flashback from before I came here. I- I think it was triggered by the monster's scent."

Leafpaw looked down. "It-It wasn't a good memory." She said softly. She looked up. "I think I need to leave for a minute. I hope that's okay, Starlighstar."

[size=2]"Okay." said leafpaw, and padded off. Soon enough, she found a secluded little area behind some brambles. My entire family dies, and i only just remember now??! What kind of cat am I? And why was I saved? What purpose can I possibly serve? I'm just an apprentice!
She buried her head in her paws and closed her eyes.[/size]

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. *Ahem* NOW, One question: Does anyone have any ideas for a prophecy Leafpaw could get? I bought a dream from starclan, so I want to use that now, but I'm not sure what to put in it.

Didn't Starlightstar say something about how I should go talk to Solareclipse and Mosspaw? She changed directions and walked into the medicine den.[/size]
